Where can I find your district 8 AAA tourney brackets

Basketball is here again and we had another great visit down to Winchester last weekend. I was guessing maybe 20 or so colleges but was corrected late that afternoon with 35 or more. I saw everybody from Memphis, Fl State, Birm Southern,ETSU and Alabama. Coach Wild and his Boosters did a bang up job again. Stole the sting of the first playday from Shelbyville and will probably keep it with that kind of turnout. Great Bar B Que!!! by the way. Hope we see you next year.

What are the numbers at your school. can you go AA? I would hate to be in your District and trying to rebuild. Don't get me wrong, you will get better quicker but you can play a majority of those teams anyway since your in their backyard anyway. But dang!!! you need to win sometime, for the spirit and I mean the internal spirit.

You got your on helicopter or do you stay on cell all night. Your posting everywhere about boys and girls. Where were you tonight , Moore Co or Murfreesboro.

Turnham is a class act!! Met some people from Franklin co that would bet you their kids that if he hadnt left down there , he would probably be playing in Murf this spring. Lots of talent but no leader there anymore. Looks like they got a good girls coach and sacrificed the boys now.

Been watching that group in 8AAA since visiting for playday before season. Heard every team would be good challenge for AA squad. Also heard you can get hurt playing in the paint with that bunch down there in lower middle tn. Physical inside with all teams.Big girls from Shelbyville and Columbia, Big girl in Lincoln Co. (Hill)Scrappy girls in Franklin Co. (Gulley and Southern) seen names in paper a lot. Better not forget one of the best Senior guards in state at Columbia (Ross) Better quit wishing for Tuesday to get here. Good to see you positive about team though.

Thanks for a great playday. Came down from the big city and found one of the nicest facilities around. New Coach Wild and Franklin County parents made everybody feel right at home. Lets do it again.

Seems like Pride played better game than Flight against Fecor 65-61 --Heard it was tied most of game. Looks like Pride's plan almost paid off. Kudos to the coaches--Looked like 2nd place anyway looking at brackets online and fresh legs against Fencor--Pretty Savy Coach Hayes. Heard you were at least top eight team.

I saw 2 soph and 1 frosh working out with pride teams last weekend at Hooptown. All three looked talented. Big post girl needs a little work. Forsh worked with 14s and is very talented. Other soph (Gully) or (Gulley) has some game. Looks like she has put some time in. Was working with 16s but coach sd she was able to play 15 age group, had good birthday. I think they are in same situation as 3 or 4 district 8 teams. Boat load of soph and only 1 junior returning. Tough district!!One of the dads said they had good incoming frosh class. Heard facilities were awesome at new school.

No need coming up here expecting a win (lady birds) you have improved and will make a good run in the tourney but Columbia is as tight as Lynard Skynards band right now. Been together a long time and jellin as the commercial says.

What happened to the Bees at Franklin Co Saturday. Crabtree always has had competetive team , but seems to be in the cellar this year. Wouldn't bet against Bees after 1 point loss coming into tourney time. Might bee a swarm!

Its crunch time and I like all of you know will see a Senior step up in the District Tourney. Lot of good players in both Districts and except for Tull and Franklin county in district 8 I think we all agree these are two tough!! districts with a lot of good ball players from soph to senior. Good luck to all but lets let the Seniors have their dues@!!

Internet broadcast was good. Sounded like Crabtree's girls gave eaglettes a scare. Really sounded like they played better than Shelbyville. Especially George girl and the sophmores from franklin county. Had AAU coach tell me Crabtree had big sophmore that was not dressing yet for some reason but is good player.

Year after year! Year after year choctaw. Its baasketball. But 7A,7AA,9AAA,8AAA Region 4 AAA. I hope your district continues to be competitive, but this thread is the toughest year end and year out.

Who did Lawrence Co. and Columbia play and what were results?

I sawUpperman play Lawrence CO. Shelbyville play day. Saw a real tough medium size senior cause many many problems in the paint!! I think they won by 15 or 18, have slept since then. Didn't see the 3 point live or die. Have seen the Taylor girl play some good in the paint ball during the summer also. Heard nose was injured. Hope it hasnt hampered her. Bench is an issue though. With Taylor and the senior hurt on Saturday play day Bradley Central had their way with them.

Would that be KiKi and TD from Team Pride If so, some great talent. Rest of girls minus Tory who is at Riverdale are at Upperman. All are solid sophmores that play a lot. Upperman starts 3 or 4 soph.

Heardtheybeat Springhill and Ravenwood. Look for improvement much like everybody else!! Nothing special I don't think.

Dissapointed in Eaglelettes play during their playday. Didn't realize they were so weak this year until they were 0-3 Saturday afternoon. Heard a lot of girls went to soccer this year. Lincoln Co. had a bench full and picked up a lot of soph speed. Franklin County brought a bus full! Looks like both programs are having a good building year. Saw probably 15 soph and frosh for the rebelettes and only 3 seniors. 7AA teams gave a few teams some tough times.

Great idea for early season matchups! Congrats to whoever came up with it. Had chance to see LA and Upperman at Shelbyville last weekend. Upperman had 2injuries to starters in playday. Did they hit the floor ? One was Chelsey Taylor and the other was a senior , dont know her name but was a player. Hurt her elbow and didn't play against Bradley Central on Saturday.
