It is worth noting that at the time of the game Riverdale and WK were both ranked in the top 15 in their respective regions. Many of the prep magazines and web sites touted the game as a clash between regional heavyweights. I believe WK went on to have a lackluster season due in part to injuries and Riverdale fumbled away a chance at a repeat state title (fumbled literally 8 times).

As long as your scoring and not putting your defense in impossible situations...then run what ever best suits your people.

If you change the scheme constantly, then it better be real simple. If the scheme is constant, then the players are more capable of tweaks to enhance the scheme. Even the best scheme won't win with players who can't execute it or players who are inferior to the opponent. Biggest mistake: assuming your players can do more than they are capable Biggest mistake 2: assuming that this or that small change will be easy to learn and won't effect execution Biggest mistake 3: underestimating the talent and coaching you are facing. Everyone in the NFL is a great at coaching. The difference is the players on the field. Every coaching staff in high school is different. Every team in high school is different talent wise. You better have a simple scheme that the players can execute in the face of superior or inferior talent.

Speaking purely as a historian, the Catholic Church is the only group that can trace back that far, but I really think you need to mark a line between those times at the council of Nice. It would be more fair to assert that they are a decedent of Martin Luthers.... Yes I was a Church of Christ member and found the dogma as unnecessary as Martin Luther found the Catholic Church wanting.

Something that needs to be considered when comparing Riverdale, Brentwood and Ravenwood is explosive growth in those counties. Is Sumner county and more specifically Gallatin experiencing explosive growth, or is the growth creeping at a measured pace from Nashville outwards? How about industry and business growth.

There was a lot of enthusiasm at the annual Tech Football players alumni golf tournament this year. Watson and the Def. Coordinator was there. I haven't had a chance to talk to Watson yet, but the D coor is a great guy with a great background in coaching. We are fortunate for Byrdtown women wanting to live close to home.

Spoke to a Smith Co. coach myself....6 scores to 0 in favor of Smith Co. Should have been 9 scores if not for some dropped balls. DCA missing 11 who were still competing in baseball. Smith Co. line handled DCA line very well and I personally wouldn't expect 11 baseball players to wildly swing the outcome the other way. It would be interesting regular season game for the two to meet.

Talked to a guy who went...he said it wasn't very good. All of the Big name speakers told jokes and stories etc...not a lot of X and O's. He said it just like hearing Big Phil Fulmer speak...lots of stories no football. They need to correct that before I'll put my money and time into a clinic visit.
