Central maybe looking past Halls to Maryville. But no way does that matter. Halls is to young and Central is to polished. I suspect that the first quarter may be close , but after that Central does what it wants.

MoWest is a much better team than people are giving them credit for. They have a awsome defense. Looks like the offense my be showing up. I say watch out Greenville

Those frehmen might get their chance someday to play Maryville. And as you say maybe they won't make the mistake and they win. Or you might just be suprised yourself. If you are scout and a writer, I think your problem is you look at the world with bias eyes. Unless Hillsboro stops playing so many people 2 ways, it is going to be hard to win a state title. They have great talent, but playing so many plays,it hurts them in the 4th qtr. I respect Hillsboro.

One thing these QB's have is confidence. They know they can throw it any where. True sometime it works against them, but they always seem to not realize they threw an interception. Would have been nice to see more fads tonight. I kept hoping to seem them throw the screen to Chris. He has wonderful abilites to run after the catch.

OR had the advantage coming into this game. To much running game for Heritage. Along with the fact both teams came offf games they lost in. I still believe that OR has the chance to go as far as they want to this year. Mix in some passing game and pass defense, they will be tough to beat.

The DEFENSE played with so much intensity. They left nothing on the field. In fact I say both defenses played very well. I knew this was going to be a battle I had been trying to tell people that Mowest was much better than 1-2. They tried and we tried to help them. There was so ill advised passes and some passes that should have been caught. Then our very reliable running back made a couple of fumbles. Not to mention the pitch on the option that was muffed. Being in a battle like this is a good thing for GQ to build on. When the offense catches up with this defense, it could be a very special TEAM. Next week will be another game that they need to stay focused on. You know WB is high coming off their win. I just want to say thanks for the hard work on defense if any of the player may happen to read this.

I wasn't saying that Maryville has been making alot of mistakes, or the defense wasn't playing great. Just simply stating that those games are in the past, and we must play to our level for this game. If we turn it over 4 or 5 times like we did against Alcoa, we will lose. That is the kind of mistakes I was talking about.

We are going to see how much Maryville has learned. This is still a young team and I can promise you Mowest Hates Maryville. They will play thier hearts out. If Maryville really wants to win they can, but they have to cut down on the mistakes, and play solid defense. If Mowest thinks they can win it will be a long tuff night. I think the game will be closer than what most people think I am going to say Maryville 24 Mowest 10. This is one of 3 games I said going into the season that we would know What Maryville was made of. I haven't changed my mind on that yet.

I feel Central will take out the frustrations from last friday nights game. Keep in mind Cater is much improved, but they could lose big here. That lose maybe a bad thing for the rest of Central's opponents.

History says this should be a great game. Though I feel Alcoa is still young and lacking on offense, Sweetwater has the tools yet it seems the kids and the coaching staff are not on the same page. With that being said I'll say Alcoa on defense is better than Sweetwaters offense. Alcoa 16 Sweetwater 10.

Over all Maryville played well tonight. They were able to basically do anything they wanted to on both sides of the ball. The defense needs to work some on making the sure tackle rather than trying to deliver the big knock out hit. But it is hard to criticize a unit that has only given up 7 points in 3 games. On offense we need to secure the ball better, especially the wide outs. They didn’t fumble but they ran to many times carrying the ball to far away from their body. A great catch doesn’t mean anything if you get the ball stripped while running. The offense really seemed to find its rhythm tonight, but Halls may have helped them. They did reduce the number of mistakes which helped the to be able to play a large number of players.

This should be a good game for Maryville to work on their offensive execution. Halls will come ready to play, but lack of depth and experience on the team in general will hurt their chances of winning. But that doesn’t mean Maryville can just show up to win the game. It is time to cut down on the turn over and mistakes.

Think of it this way, if as we say Maryville has a hard time adjusting to the 2 different styles of our quarterbacking. Then imagine how the other teams defense must feel. True there has been mistakes made, but if they can reduce the number of mistakes made and Alex throws to a wide open Cade or on that option he pulls up and throws one deep across the middle. In my opinion it will have any teams defense guessing, and when you have a defense guessing, you have the upper hand. Talking with Chris last night after the game I doubt you see him next week. It is possible but not likely.

you better be ready for a game.Hillsboro will show up and talking with some of they players this week they know they are going to show up and give us all we can handle. Maryville i believe will win, but it will be close. So Scream all you want they can use the help. We will be there to do our part. I am sure the team will do it's part. They know it will be for 4 quarter game

Games are won and lost on the field. All things even the team that is more athletic, better prepared, and wants it the most, usually wins the game. There is no question both teams want this game bad. There is no doubt that both teams will be prepared. For the most part both teams are very athletic, going to give Maryville a slight edge here. In my opinion the difference in this game is the depth that Maryville has. The team that exucutes thier game plan the best wins the game. I think this will be Maryville because there are so many weapons that Morristown will have to account for. I'd be willing to bet that it will be closer than 49-7 this time.

going into half time this was a tight game. both teams made mistakes, some were forced, others were just mistakes. Cleveland did not have any offense in the second half, that was due to the outstanding play on Defense by Maryville. There were chances where Cleveland could have turned the game. The defense for Maryville just didn't let it happen. The offense put together some good drives and the game was sealed.

This is one of those games that could go any way. I would say that if Maryville gets off to a fast start they put the game away early. If Cleveland can survive the early part of the game they can make it a close game. But i think depth in the forth quarter is what wind the game for Maryville. Both fans should be proud of thier teams, and for those who like to trash talk you have no clue you disrespect your team as well as the team that you are trying to put down. it is possible that scouting could go on. but also there is less time to recover from the game. sometimes 1day can mean alot when it comes to recovering from a twisted ankle, or a sore shoulder. i can't see any real advantage to the game being moved. Mo West players where at Maryville game already. If they want want to drive down and scout the game. i say that Greenville will beat them. to much travling for an advantage [Edited by RebelKnight on 11-21-02 8:28P]

Maryville has had a winning tradition for many years. Though in the late 80's and early 90's the times got lean.Through excellent coaching,dedicated players,and loyal fans Maryville has rebuilt it's program. For as long as i can recall, and yes i went to Maryville, Everyone either wants to beat Maryville, or for who they are playing to beat them. Some teams have given Maryville more than they can handle, other have been overwhelmed. One thing that is for certian, ANY team left in the play off's is capable of beating Maryville. Fans can say what they want, but what wins or loses a game is how well the coaches prepare the team, and how well the teams listens to the coaches. As for the fans, they should support thier team no matter what. I know i was at the game last week AT 5:45, sitting in the rain watching the players warm up. Carl was intrested in Tennessee, and Tennessee was interested in Carl. The problem lies in that UT wanted Carl to play Linebacker, and Carl wanted to play tailback. Auburn said they would let him play tailback. All things even Auburn seems like a good choice, Tho i do believe UT really is missing out on a good local talent. But then again what is new. How many do we have to lose to Big time programs before they realize there is great talent in the area. Seems like the great ones always have to leave. Maybe if we keep some of those local stars, we wouldn't be asking why they don't play with heart

There are 4 more regular season games to be played before any thoughts should be placed on whether Maryville can beat Hilsboro. If they don't take care of business the game will never happen. One play at a time is what Maryville needs to focus on no matter Who they are playing.
