Alcoa Elementary was dedicated on November 7, 1971. The previous school was Springbrook Elementary that burned down in the summer of 1968 between my 3rd and 4th grade year.

We were the last AA team (76). We voted to play up to compete with the Knoxville AA teams (Rule, Karns, Cleveland, etc). We thought A would be too easy. But, the next three classes have championship rings.

Greg O would have graduated in 78 if I'm not mistaken. I blocked for him. I was 73 a year ahead of him.
