That is a fantastic story, A true showing of team spirit and love of a game.
I think last year at Gallatin High School, Allen Sawyers showed true team spirit. Captain of the team, very promising senior season ahead, tore his ACL during a scrimmage right before the season. Most players who are out for the year, skip out and do their own thing. Allen never missed a practice, never missed anything to do with the team. Players like this, leading by example inspire teams. Gallatin again this year very competitive. Do they have any true stand out players? No, they have a bunch of kids working together, helping each other, pushing each other to be better. These are the teams you love to see, averaging 300+ yards a game rushing and noone over 500 yards indivually. I know there are many teams out there that have this type of situation I can only speak of the one I know, bravo to all the unselfish players, scout teamers, injured players, and all who just love the game.
