I would like to congratulate Fulton for a great job. Both players and coaches played in what every team and coach in Knoxville wants to play in. The Fulton coaching staff spends time off the field helping their players become better people. I don't know of any other staff that tries to help their players like that of the Fulton staff. Great job Coach Coatney and staff.

John Paul could not win when he played fair, and he could not win when he cheated. So that means he is just worthless as a coach, and that is why he sits and types on computer all day.

I am sure the Thompson family is a fine family. I just know what I have read and it seems that Dee made a mistake as a young business man, and it comes off like he is spoiled rotten. I don't care where he is or who he is. If you decide to hate everyone or fire everyone you disagree with, then you will have one hard time finding someone in your corner. Those with great business knowledge (not that I have any) take ideas and weigh them before they throw it out there, unless daddy's money is being used.

It obvious that Mr. Thompson has not thought this whole thing out. This would eventually put all State champions wanting to play for the State Bragging Champion. Another kid taking chances with Daddy's money. This would never work with basketball starting around the first game of the playoffs. We would not want our kids to miss out on the first 2, 3, 4, or even 6 weeks of football would we. That is what Thompson is asking these players that play both sports. Why would he want to play Riverdale or Brentwood they both might not be as good as Maryville or Hillsboro, or even Ridgeway and Fulton. It just goes on down the line.

Why did you all get in trouble by TSSAA. Who are you all to talk about kids living out of zone. When does Helton get back from his recruiting trip? Why do you think the two Volunteer coaches are at Central now? Besides their vast knowledge of youth football, what is the other reason. Can you say recruiters. About the Cobb player at Fulton. Why would a Central Alumni that Played D-1 Ball at UT and some professional Ball not send his own family to Central. That beats the heck out of me. Can you give a logical or professional educated guess on why he would not make sure his own family went to Central. Most people that have success some where want his own family to go there as well because of being familiar with the same head coach and community.

The two would have to be Minor from Fulton, and Milligan from Powell. Helton is a great young player, but he is one of very very few kids that play as a freshman. He also played qb, which is great as a freshman. How many kids thats dad is not the head coach could have played. He had a great cast around him, but also made some great plays. I am not saying he is not one of the top freshman, he is just in a good spot (more touches) where he is more noticed.

Knoxville Powell's Bruin and JO JO The RB Milligan rushed for over 2000 yards and Missed one ballgame. He also played hurt most of the season. That tells me that If he was playing hurt then very few people were able to get to him. That is a good line. Once again Bruin and Jo JO from Powell High School

This should be a one sided game, but it is the playoffs. There is no reason why Fulton should lose this game. I have seen both teams play many times and there is not one thing that says or shows Fulton is the lesser team. Although stranger things have happened. I thought AE would be playing Fulton, but I guess I was wrong. Once again good luck Fulton.

It is tough staying on top just ask Cleveland from 96 until now. It has taken them almost 8 years to get back to the 3rd round. This friday will be a battle of two great teams but I think that debth is in Maryville's corner. Maryville has not had a lot of success agains great running backs, but the offense will carry them to the boro.

Im not sure you realize what you have just said. Did you know that a team from Region 3-4A has been in the state championship game every year for the last so many years. I think it is seven eight or something like that. Now let me get this right, you say they don't play anybody. Have you heard of Halls, Powell, Central, Clinton, Carter, West. Not that All these teams are great powerhouse teams, but I can remember When Cleveland played in the Knoxville region and Benny Monroe was winning, but he got out of that region as quick as he could. He saw how tough the region was from top to bottom. So once again what were you saying about Cleveland playing some big powerhouse teams. Who Walker Valley.

I remember people talking at the first of the year how good Hixon was. What was that score. I am not a Maryville supporter or fan. The fact is They are the best team in the state, whether they win or not. As much as I hate saying that. Ive seen them beat teams with much more speed, talent, and size. I saw them beat an extremely athletic Memphis East Team two years ago.

He hates everyone that he is not a part of. He must be one of those fans that could not due what it took to become a coach, and has not a clue about what all goes into coaching. The Fulton coaching staff works year round, and is doing more than its share to make student athletes into citizens. You will not find a better coaching staff that does more for its kids than just coach. Just think why would Reggie Cobbs family let one of their kids go to Fulton instead of playing for the so called great Helton. Maybe with your great knowledge of football you might tell me. I don't guess they let you play at Fulton, so you have to put the staff down. I get it know, one of the coaches beat you out of a position when you played there, and you don't like them.

Where were all those fans when they were playing Walker Valley, Rhea County, and Carter? The stadium was not even 1/4 full.

Who are you kidding about usc beating UT. They can hardly compete in that weak west coast area. What have they done the last 5 years. I give you a few years to try some how to tell me what good they have done. Ut does recruit local kids, but they only have 20-23 scholarships. You would not buy a Nissan instead of a Chevy to pull a horse trailor would you. That is some of the differences we are talking about. Until some of our kids start getting recruited by more teams nationally then that is what it is going to be like. Lots of teams come in here and sign players, but they are the only team looking at him. How many teams offered those kids that are playing DI and are they top 5 top 20 teams.

Carl is a very talented player,but he does not have the type of speed. He could be a college rb, or a great college lb. He does not have near the ability Cadillac Williams has, nor do I think that some of the backs at UT have what he has. Tennessee recruits great players. Almost all teams in SEC are down this year. Don't give me this crap about Kentucky. I agree they seem good this year, but this is a bad year in the SEC. Can you tell me all those great years they have been so good. I agree that alot of talent gets outside to other schools, but some of those kids Santonio Beard did not want to go to TN. Look at all the players that Tn has in the NFL. I guess those guys really stink don't they. Until they put some type of stipulation on the guys leaving early for the NFL. It makes recruiting extremly hard. So far UT has done pretty well.

That did not sound right. I am not saying he is not a good coach, but coach Helton did not get him for his great coaching.

I feel extremely sorry for you and your relationship with the Central Coaching staff. They have been dishonest with you. If coach K had any greatness about him, he would realize that Joel Helton did not want him for his great coaching abililty. With as many coaches in Tennessee to choose from, we all know why Helton chose Kelly He was a great recruiter. Once again I dont think Kelly is a bad man or anything like that at all. He is the recruiter, just be honest with yourself.

Once again I do think your players like and love you, but all I am saying is that you recruit players from other zones. Once again I am stating facts, and that you can ask your former players. You do recruit players from other zones.

I am not sure they have played a powerhouse team like you might think. Walker Valley. Who else. I think I remember them playing Farragut to a close game. This is a big rival game, and has big implications. You guys need to stand up and smell the coffee, oh you are standing up.
