  1. I'm glad that this game is taking place. I remember being an MHS student and going to all the heated games between Maryville and Bearden for basketball, soccer, baseball, and even swimming matches. I think Maryville will have a good test against this Bearden team but should come out on top. I'm going to say MHS 23 BHS 16 P.S. Down with the K.I.L.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I'm glad to see these two teams playing, I had a lot of friends from OR back in my days at UTC. Wish they would have played when I was in school OR had some great teams back then.
  3. Very good game, Eubanks is a beast and so is that CB from Station Camp #20...but I wonder why on 4th and Goal from the 21 you come out in an I-formation with 2 wide outs?
  4. Looks like 27-17 Alcoa now, wish I had video, but it seems like Alcoa is just too fast.
  5. This link is horrible, I'm tired of Shaw Marion Powerade commercials.
  6. Evil Empire, HAHA, when I was a kid I alway cheered for Cobra Commando, Master Shredder, and Gargamel, so I'll roll with the Evil Empire just for ish and giggles.
  7. This game is like trying to pick between chicken pox or swine flu...no one wants to, and both are horrible.
  8. We fight over everything here in Blount County...don't get us started on who's better at photoshop I have it on good authority that at least 40% of the kids in Alcoa's computer classes are not licensed to use the graphics software there anyway and are doing so illegally...kidding, kidding!! Geez! LOL, Alcoa was always up on the technology, I remember watching the Alcoa Channel when I was a kid...where is that creek they go to every year??? Anyway, yeah people in Blount County fight over everything including if the Library or the Taco Bell are really in Maryville or Alcoa, I'm in Nashville now so I must watch the live stream, and if it doesn't work I am going to be P.O.'ed. P.S. Shout out to all the HS football fans who have been posting on messegeboards since Chip Carillo and TNPreps.com, hi truerebelplaya!!!!!!!!
  9. Thankyou for finally putting up something worth reading Papa Chaos, I was just curious is this about Maryville V. Alcoa football, or who has the best photoshop software??
  10. How do Fulton and Hillsboro compare...Hillsboro is basically in Green Hills, which is nothing like the Fulton area. If anything Hillsboro is still busing in kids, but Green Hills and NE knoxville are nothing alike.
  11. 10-7, what a tight game. Both teams defenses were amazing. I was not at all impressed with Maryville in this game. #55 of Hillsboro was pretty good, but the right tackle for the rebels played like he was half asleep. As a matter of fact so did the rest of the line. They did not block very well, and I had never seen the QB Juhlin until tonight... he looked shaky. Hillsboro did a good job of running plays very quickly because their line was very undersized and they made sure the ball was past the line of scrimmage before the rebs had a chance to bust through. Maryville's offense looked like they all had sleep apnea and did not use their c-pap machines the night before.
  12. Yes I think I will be posting more than I have in the past... You cannot take anything away from what Maryville has done in the last few years it has been great and I hear about it all the time at work and I live hours from Maryville. But I would just like to see them go out and really play some one. Even a Chattanooga school like Baylor and or a school like MBA would be nice to see on the Rebs schedule.
  13. Kinda of amazing, you cannot take away a streak like that, but it is against the same boring competition every year. They big name teams play other big names teams, Miami schools playing Dallas schools playing Atlanta schools playing Cleveland schools and so on. They need to quit worrying about Steve-o and the boys on trustees of First Baptist Maryville and that bland Blount County Championship and go out and play some one.
  14. Maryville doesn't have too much speed for Fulton or anyone. They just know where to be and when to be there. They do have fast players, but I have seen teams with the speed to out run them. I went to Maryville and I follow the team very closely from my Red Bank home, but they are not faster than Fulton.
  15. Even as a Maryville High School student, I fail to see the importance of the Blount County Championship. It does little for bragging rights, because well when do all of these kids have time to rub it in. It is more for the adults who work at Alcoa, Denso, or the city of Maryville to sit around and argue about on lunch breaks and at company picnics. Over the past 4.5 years i have been in college I have seen highschool football go to new levels. I have watched Memphis Melrose go againts powerhouses from St. Louis, Atlanta, Chicago, and other metropolitian areas. I have also seen schools like Mccallie, MBA, and Austin-East (they atleast scrimmaged Independence) do the same. This has helped these teams gain recognition nationally which not only helps the program, but the players as well. Tennessee and C-N are great schools, but there are some players from Maryville who could have played at schools like Toledo, Central Florida, Colorado State, NorthWestern, KSU, and other D-1 schools but have settled on becomming fighting scots or eagles. I mean Maryville needs to start playing schools from other states as well as playing other in state powerhouses. It makes no sense that a school with all of those state championships, a 32-0 record over the past 2+ years, and all of the talents it has to not be recognized. #50 out o 100 on some backwoods VFW lodge#234 poll is not that great, when schools with 1/3 of Maryville recent accomplishments are being featured in USA Today. Just food for thought...
  16. That family is amazing, all those kids are really talented. But anyway, all of you all are wrong, because that 7 footer was David Harrison from Brentwood Academy that went to Colorado.
  17. Orangemound BOUND!!!!!!!!!! I hope Melrose wins cause i want a Melrose and Maryville matchup. We wathced them put on a show in '98, and it's time to see this game. I want to here the Melrose band and i want to shut up one of my brush (frat bro") who played at Melrose. PBS
  18. Maryville has a beutiful stadium with plenty of seating, great concessions, and a lovely (no track having) field. You the trees in the N end zone block the next street so you feel like you are on campus only. The field is also probably the sturdiest/greenish field in the state thanx to the careplan of ol' hammbone.
  19. MAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maryville is going to beat the breaks off of Powell. Here kitty kitty kitty....
  20. They must already be there, i mean thats school is packed now.
  21. I am a Maryville High Alum, and a fan of the program, but I have a problem right now. I know the Blount Co. championship might mean something, to the older fans, but it is quite meaningless to me. I think Maryville needs to take a chance and like...play somebody. Schedule MBA, or a Brentwood, or even a Memephis team. Heck play Independence. Prove something, I want to see a real big time high school game before my expiration date. This will give the program the credit it deserves, I mean winning all those championships helps, but dang, can't we take a break every 907 years and do something different?
  22. Morristown can pass and stop the run, Hillsboro can't pass. M'TOWN!!!
  23. First time since 1995 a team from region 3 has not been in the state championship game.
  24. Can all of this whinning end? This is highschool football, not college or pro, if the conditions are that bad then don't play, jeez i mean don't you all care about safety. Forgive me for not being a native of the south and having this "be a man" approach to everything, but I think you all need to calm the heck down.
