  1. A little more clarification. Keegan hurt the knee before the final scramble. He took injury time right before, and was clearly in a lot of pain. He tried to fight through, but even covering West looked painful. West got a quick escape, and Keegan was done before the final takedown. I will once again say that I hope he is ok for regions next week, but it didn't look good when he went down.
  2. The pin hadn't been called and Matlock let go. I hate that he is injured, but it was not on the ref.
  3. Thank you CHSlive for showing the Soddy-W. Central match.
  4. Thanks WG, trackwrestling has it the other way and has Ravenwood losing. Thanks for clearing it up.
  5. Live results are on Track Wrestling.
  6. Beech is up 30-18 over Ravenwood going into the 113 lb match. Matches started at 145.
  7. Is it true Jacob Freeman got pinned in 17 seconds by Beech?????
  8. So what exactly are you getting hostile about. You stated in your post that he beat the Central Kid at that weight. Austin Richard is at 138 for Central, who he has not beaten. Lusk is definitely a contender though at 138.
  9. Wish I had a chance for my team to forfeit the region championships. Gotta congratulate Grindstaff for making it back, especially after the early season woes. Wish Indy and Ravenwood the best of luck, represent Region 6 well.

  12. I understand your dilemma, and I've seen your young lady wrestle. Even though she has been beating guys, in all honesty, she is no where near ready to compete at a top level. Her decision does cost her a state championship on the girls side, but it was stated very clearly, that in order to try and get girls wrestling as a sanctioned sport, they could only wrestle girls
  13. New guy, the TSSAA takes a percentage, I think between 15-20% of the gate, on two day invitational tournaments and will provide medals. But don't take anything on 1 day invitationals.
  14. Actually Soms, if you notice most tournaments are going to one day. Why do you ask? The T$$AA basically rapes schools for the gate. I'm sure there is not much money being made for what is going out. Congrats to Coach Blair for putting together a great tourney, and also to the Brenwood parents for such an outstanding hospitality room.(I spent quite a good deal of time in there because my wrestlers didn't fare to well)
  15. This was by far one of the toughest tournaments in the state. Congratulations to all that navigated the brackets to win.
  16. Union Co won it last year if I'm not mistaken. Should be a beast of a tourney
  17. I will also add, as a coach, we can deal with a bad tournament if the hospitality room is ok. Was nonexistent at this tournament. Had to go to the youth tournament to get coffee that was not in the hospitality room over there. So many wrongs this year. But I did see why Bruno Regan is the #1 HWT in the state, as he demolished all his competition, including a pin of MBA's big guy. On top of that, he is a good guy, good luck to him throughout this season. Did get a chance to speak with Coach Blosser, and he is a stand up guy as well. Just still have a bad taste in my mouth from the actual tournament.
  18. It was difficult because everything was done on paper. I'll give a shot from what I saw. Don't know names 106- Father Ryan over Dickson Co 3rd-Overton def. MBA 113-Glencliff def FR 3RD-OVT def Ant 120-Idk 126-idk 132-idk 138-FR def Hendersonville 3rd-Clarksville def Ant 145-Ravenwood def. 152-FR def. 160-FR def. RVW 170-idk 182-idk 195-I think Dickson and Clarksville were in finals 220-idk 285-Clarksville p. MBA
  19. This tournament will not survive. The idea is excellent, the execution was horrible. I gave it another year and feel that I wasted my program's funds, and my time. BA did a decent job, in spite of. To start off, the mats weren't even down when teams arrived. Yes it started on time, but a lot of the JV wrestlers received 1 match. There was a big wall betwen mats 3 &4 that was on wheels but not moved. The mastermind of the whole tourney didn't show up until around 7:30. there was no telling which round we were in, found out that the tourney had to be over by 6, so things became rushed. No medal ceremonies, no finalist recognition. Once again, a waste of funds and my time. A couple of things I can't get back.
  20. Clarence Mathis of Antioch is out for the season with a broken wrist that will require surgery.
