  1. Nearly 40 pages of meaningless bragging. Both ways. Here's the skinny. Gordonsville shows up. Much improved. Defense surprisingly gives SC trouble. Close game. May come down to a turnover or a mistake in the kicking game. SC wins 14-12. Both teams go on to have winning seasons and make the playoffs.
  2. This ain't your grandfather's Lebanon. Gallatin 35 Lebanon 13
  3. Need 4 more teams. Already In: Mt Juliet Wilson Central Gallatin White House Lebanon McGavock William Blount Antioch Friendship Christian Smith County Creekwood Station Camp Montgomery Central Page Upperman Ezell-Harding
  4. Flinging Gravy: I understand what you are saying, BUT, you better get there before 5. Lot of rock to wonder about over there.
  5. Montague1, I thought at first that was picture of VY playing baseball. Then I noticed the release point was too high.
  6. Park at the fair and ride a mule to the game. Only $ 3.00.
  7. Jay Cutler will be playing in the pro bowl at the same time Vince Young is trying to convert to wide receiver. Floyd Reese is out of football and Jeff Fisher is someone's defensive co-ordinator. The Adelphia LP Ingram Gaylord Colisseum is half empty. When? Ah, I'll say 3 years.
  8. I cant believe there has been so little talk over 29 pages of mostly posturing and drivel about the return of Coach Medley to the sideline. Looks like to me that would be a big plus for Gville. I really dont know about the talent level of either team. I would expect SC to win. But dont sell MM short. The boy knows his football and could be the X factor. I'm just glad to see him back. Good man. Good coach. Good luck to both teams.
  9. Week zero begins in an hour. Wanted to get on the record before it all starts. Remind me in November what an idiot I was. Not now. I'm entitled to my opinion. Ridiculous as it may be. The County: FCS 9-1 MJ 8-2 Watertown 5-5 Wilson Central 4-6 Lebanon 3-7 MJ Christian 2-8 First 3 teams make playoffs. Rest are out.
  10. runtheball has lurched dangerously close to the truth. political incorrectness and/or white guilt will preclude a full and honest examination of this topic.
  11. Good points. Just wondered why those refs who cheated Hamilton so bad allowed them to shoot 37 free throws. Why not cheat them totally and not allow any? Maybe that trio was just that bad, and not dishonest. Is that possible?
  12. Hamilton shot 37 free throws. Shelbyville shot 19. Who knows how many of the 16 gagged free throws by Hamilton were front ends of 1 and 1's. Or they would have shot more than 40. Now, how do you like them apples? As for the phantom out of bounds call, I have no explanation. Ref choked?
  13. OK, I'll give it a shot. Really have no clue. Cleveland beats Powell WC beats NS Hillsboro beats Greeneville Ridgeway beats Shelbyville then WC beats Cleveland Ridgeway beats Hillsboro and then WC beats Ridgeway in finals.
  14. Here's the 8 to State. Mo West Greeneville Cleveland Shelbyville Smyrna Wilson Central Northside Ridgeway Not positive about Greeneville. Confident on other 7. Its wide open after that. Good luck.
  15. Tom Marshall-- Mt Juliet was a 1st round NBA pick. 6th overall. How many can top that?
  16. Unless TSSAA cancels the tournament, some AAA team in Tennessee is going to hoist the gold ball on a Saturday night at Murphy Center (Rick's Big Glass Grill). It could be captured by any of 10 or more good teams across the state. There is no favorite, regardless of what all the CoachT fans may think. Usually there are 2 or 3 teams (often 1) that are clear-cut favorites. Not this year. It is wide open. Whoever gets hot, gets lucky, and stays healthy wins. Makes for a great, possibly surprising, tournament run. I'm not naming names, but I see 3 teams from East Tennessee, 5 from Middle Tennessee, and 2 from West Tennessee with a shot. All these teams have weaknesses that could sabotage their chances. All have strengths that could carry them to the title. One of them will win. The others will say "That could be us." They will be right. It could've been. Good luck to all.
  17. OK. I'll be brief. And summarize. 7AAA girls district is weaker overall this year than it has ever been. Ever. Not an insult, just a fact. Live with it. It happens sometimes.
  18. Don't worry. They don't even read CoachT in Baxter, Livingston, Knoxville, or Jackson. I have heard they check it from time to time in Gibson County. But you've already proven they are no threat to your supremacy. March on General. Strike the tent!
  19. Its gone now, but Castle Heights Military Academy was the greatest ever. I remember before Duane and Gregg Allman got kicked out of school there, they used to perform during games. I remember hearing "Whipping Post" while the Tigers administered a thrashing to a hapless opponent. And that was during a JV game. And they used to have special guests, such as Blind Melon Chitling and Ledbelly sit in during the big games. Sometimes folks from town would come in to hear them play. The small gym was often shut down by the fire marshall. Looking back, I can see just how dangerous a situation existed. Cuz in that gym, there ain't but one way out babe, and I just can't go out that door. Man, it gives me the blues just thinking bout those days.
  20. Now she holds 2 records. A scoring, as well as a criminal record. http://www.nypost.com/sports/62765.htm Notice that she only hit one free throw. That speaks to the quality of defense being played against her.
  21. Weakest field they have had in years. Unless one of these out of state teams is a powerhouse, which I doubt. I'll pick the Washington team just to pick one.
  22. Strange coincidence. I just spoke with your coach. He's asking Santa for some new fans.
