I dont know about these predictions.Yall are wither uninformed or biased...I have to think Cleveland will be good because they always are but I lost almost everyone but I'd have to think theyd be in the top 3. Central will be in trouble losing Despaux,Davenport,and WR Chris Geter who accounted for all their offense just about but they keep most of their other players including Brent Hayes. I'd have to say theyll be in the top 3 too. East Ridge lost their entire team i dont expect much out of them .I think theyll be in the bottom 3. Rhea County is always tough. They werent hurt too badly by graduation but they have saome skill positions to fill. I think theyll be anywhere from 2 to 4. Hixson should be strong and is considered by many to be the darkhorse in this crazy region. They have D1 prospects Adam Owens and Tony Swafford and keep all skill positions players except Athlete Wil Blowe who went to UTC. Theyre not well known I guess thats why Sequatchie picked them to be 6th. I think they could be anywhere from 1 to 4. Red Bank lost all their top players I think theyll be in the bottom 3 along with Brainerd. This is a good region. I feel sorry for running backs that have to run through LB's Adam Owens(Hix.),Brandon Brown(Cleve.),and Brent Hayes(Central) holes this year.All 3 could be all state.

I'm not so sure about Cleveland..They lost Levonte Barber, Jay Davis and many other key players. Brandon Brown could be all state this year but from what I hear a few of their returning starters including QB Tanner Shamblin and 2 others are going to Riverside Academy(A military school around Atlanta) this year.

Update on the tourney: Hixson vs. McMinn Central at 5:30 and CSAS vs. Howard at 8:30....Looks like District 6AA dominated the region this year

Some of the statements on this topic have been ridiculous..I was at the basketball game and saw everything..First of all the Grundy County coach was playing and antagonizing the rowdy Hixson section..with not much time left Toby Woodlee of Grundy County accidentally tackled Hixson's Josh Green..One little hollow toy ball the cheerleaders threw out to the fans was thrown on the court...The game was stopped for about 5 minutes..The Grundy coach yelled at the student section..The priniciple moved into the center of them and Hixsons coach made an announcement that any more balls thrown on the court would end the game...With 57 seconds left and Hixson up double digits, a foul was called on Grundy County and 2 plastic bottles were thrown on the court by the Grundy County side..The game was immediately called and more and more Grundy fans threw bottles..Both teams went to their locker rooms and it was over...After the games the students go outside and wait on the Hixson team..The principal and a policemen were outside when the Grundy parents and their few fans that traveled came outside and yelled and were the only side that made physical contact with the other side..No Hixson fan ever touched a Grundy County fan..Grundy players fathers pushed and harassed Hixsons fan section leader an yelled at many others when more students came over and the policemen and principal broke it up...The policemen then called for backup as a precaution to more of this...There were NO knifes drawn..The posts on here have been ludacris..Hixson has 3 black players and only a 20% black student base so I dont understand how someone could say this was a racial thing.....If this ever is reported to TSSAA(which it wont be) itll be laughed at..And to clear up the Walker Valley incident..At halftime of the girls game the boys teams warmed up on their respective sides until Walkers girls came out then they warmed up on the same side of the court..Walkers Boys didnt want to do this so they took 9 of Hixsons balls and went to their locker room..That didnt leave Hixson hardly any so he told a few of his players to go get the balls ..they tried and Walkers coach told them to leave..Hixsons coach then went and got a few balls so the teams would have an even amount.....The lying and rumor mill on this page is reaching a massive amount..Only report things you see for yourself not he said she said he said..

Hixson will really need its 2 seniors PG David Hilton and PF Allen Green to step up if they want to make a run at the District title again.

Bandstra of East Ridge missed a kick in the mid 30's at Hixson very very badly.. I think hes hurt though.. Hixsons Kevin Rose is perfect on PATs this year and probably has the best percebtage of kicking it into the endzone on kickoffs in the state

Everyone should come to the game..I know I'll be there...Its Stump on Sports game of the week and RB Mike Davenport AND Central center Beau Weiss are very injured and even if they play they are definitely nothing close to 100%.. Centrals Qb also has a hurt throwing finger so he better not loft the ball up because Tony Swafford is picking it up the seconf half of the season.. Hixson is 100% healthy including offensive threat and Division 1 prospect Wilford Blowe...Should be a good one..And please trust me..this will by no means be a blow out

Hey TNSS You cant really judge a team by how many points theyve won by...Cleveland barely beat Red Bank and red bank lost to brainerd. REgion 4-4A has always been crazy. Hixson beat East Ridge by 11 and have 2 TD's called back and didnt allow a TD after the East Ridges firstb drive that was only 30 yards thanks to an early fumbled by Hixson but I agree Central will come to play but Hixson will too..should be a good one but i'm suprised yall are predicting a blowout..i just cant see it happening.

I think this will be game of the week and the next to best game of the year in region 4-4A (Hixson and Red Banks 5 OT clearly gets this honor) Both teams know this is a must win but both are in very different situations which will have a significant bearing on the game..Centrals lost 3 of their last 4 while hixsons taken care of their last 3 and all cylinders are clicking for them.. Play callings gotten better, players are geling, the young offensive line is starting to block very well.. Centrals had sojme tough breaks and i'd have to say they havnt handled it well..Hixsons been a great 2nd half team this year(allowing no points in the 2nd half the past 3 games) but needs to have a good 1st half to dampen centrals spirit..I'd say that Davenport and Weisses injuries are significant and they wont be 100% even if they play..I'd love some more info on their status tho..Hixsons a gutsy electric team and this game is such a toss up i cant even predict a winner because of the uncertainty of Davenport..I do think that Joe Despaux needs to have a good game and limit mistakes because this Hixson team plays alot on emotion and the past few weeks theyve been warriors..I'd say Central is in a lot of trouble and could easily get the #4 seed in the playoffs and get MARYVILLE..even the name maryville strikes fear in all region 4 teams hearts
