  1. His last season at Beech was the worst in school history 1-9. Good luck.
  2. Hendersonville has always played with heart, whether it's a rebuilding season or not. However, you can't ever count out Lebanon, particularly playing on their turf. Hendersonville has to have their A game on, but they pull out the win. It's so hard making predictions this early in the year..............
  3. This will be a great game to be at. Mt. Juliet is such an athlete-producing machine over there in Wilson County, but I think the Wave pull this one out in a close one. Gallatin by a touchdown.
  4. This should be a good game. I think between these 2 teams at this early juncture, WC may have the advantage. If they were playing later on in the season, I think the outcome maybe different. How bad is the Hailey kid hurt? Is he out for the season?
  5. Way to go Commandos! What a great example you've set. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  6. Great season, Bucs. You made Middle Tennessee proud! Great job by Coach Joines and staff this season. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

    Who does Gallatin and Beech have player-wise this year? /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  8. Ditto that! /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  9. Nothing like having a boatload of ex-Titans coaching Williamson County schools either. H'ville has really showed a lot of nay-sayers how hard they've worked to get here. Commandos pull off this win in a CLOSE one. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  10. If Shoney's was still in town, Big Boy would've made many more appearances on top of the Hville's pressbox than he did.......... This rivalry just keeps getting better each year. How this game gets more exciting each season is unbelievable. Great game to both you guys. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  11. I was impressed with the improvement Gallatin made from last year. Really impressed with the kid that shot out of the gate for the 70-yard TD. I'm not real sure what going on for the Bucs. I think the scrimmage was a good wake-up call for what they're about to face. I think there's also several new coaches this year as well. Beech will do well this year, but I sure hope they'll be watching that game film all week. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  12. I have to agree here with Catfish. This one is too close. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  13. I got to make this game last night to witness this myself. I thought it was a good game on both sides. Great season for both teams. Let me just ask a couple of questions here. First, in all of my years watching high school baseball, I have never seen a coach come out of the dugout over pretty much every call made and perform with such drama as LaVergne's. Why wasn't he coaching first base instead of a kid? Could it be he's been thrown out of the game before because of such antics? Also, why did the homeplate umpire have to call time and go inside the dugout to talk to this coach? I understand he's a great guy, but it sure didn't look like it from the stands. I didn't witness everyone playing nice either. I overheard one kid from the same dugout hollering such smut that I'd be ashame to kiss my own mother with that mouth. I'm all about kids and adults behaving respectfully so that everyone can enjoy the game. Both sides needed to control the situation, not just one. Good luck to both teams next year.
  14. Amen. You probably have Vandy and the pros breathing a sigh of relief as it gives that magic arm of his a nice little rest. R-man is right - If you're basing your season on one kid, then you didn't have too much of a team to start with. It takes 9, not 1 /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  15. Anybody got a tally on how many strikeouts Sonny has had already this season? Unbelieveable. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  16. Dang, that was crummy. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  17. If I have my facts right on this kid, he played summer ball for a team out of Atlanta which was rated one of the top travel teams in the nation. Apparently that's where U.T. found him. I know he didn't pitch much at all for Beech last year and not sure exactly why. And for him to have signed early also tells me I must be right on speed as well. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  18. It is true. And this kid apparently hasn't peaked yet. He still looks to be a little raw. He wouldn't have inked with U.T. if they didn't think so as well. I'd say a nice discovery in their own house for the Bucs, huh? /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  19. The Forbis kid who's a senior will be the ace for Beech this year. He throws low to mid 90s and has already signed with U.T. I know that Beech has a couple of young ones who I've heard are pretty good - not sure how much experience they've got though in the big boy level. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  20. I drive by JPII's field every morning on the bypass. Besides the press box, what else did they do to their field? I saw Beech with cranes in their parking lot lowering bleachers in one day - possibly they qualify as the best renovated field. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  21. Who do Hendersonville and Beech have returning this year? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  22. Congrats to the Bucs! /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  23. Davidlee - Are you a grad of '79? /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  24. I'm with you on this, however, I think the score may be closer. Again, Bucs prove me wrong too. The key to this game will be controlling turnovers for the Bucs have a chance. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  25. I've watched Coker since his freshman year and man, what a waste of God-given talent to potentially destroy his career. I was watching an Antioch game years ago and he had shown up late for practice one day, so he didn't get to play until the third quarter and he still piled up so many yards in the last 2 quarters - it was ridulous. I hope he drags his butt home and gets his act cleaned up and fast and try to salvage what any eligibility he may have left to play. I don't have any sympathy for anyone who gets 4 shots to make it right and then screw it all up. /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
