You're right about Claiborne not being in the same league as Fulton. Fulton will win by 40, but Helton is faster. I had some idiot tell me Rogan was fastewr than Shiverdecker to.I watched them run track last year and the kid from Bearden and the kid from Carter came closer to Shiverdecker than Rogan did.

You're right Fulton has to many athletes and this game should not be close. Claiborne without a doubt will have the best player on the field but one man don't win football games. I know most of you probably think Rogan is better, but I've seen them both on several occasions and Helton is a much better player. He's bigger, faster and runs much harder, but being from Claiborne County he's gone unnoticed up untill now.

Red Neckerson I know your glad I didn't take your pay check this week (just kiddin). I knew Carter was a bad footbal team guy's with not alot of talent. The way Gibbs moved the ball on them last week and their D pretty much held Carters O in check, I knew Fulton would wear them out. The Falcons could have put 70 on the board if Buck had of wanted to, but he needed to work on things for the playoffs. I believe Carter will get AE in the playoffs and take another spanking. AE isn't as good as they have been, but they're still 20 points better than this Carter team. Red from what I've seen in region 1 3a, Claiborne has the best player (Helton), and Carter and Gibbs have the best all around talent in that region. The difference in Carter and Gibbs is Carter is well coached and Gibbs has no coaching at all. Heath does a great job with the talent he has and Randy just lets his kids go out their and play because the players have more footbal knowledge than he does. I've said in the past that the QB at Gibbs is bad, but he does have talent he just hasn't been coached. I still believe that the Bounds kid is an all around better athlete than the Stanton kid was last year. Very few kids in region 1 3a could star for this Fulton squad.

RedNeck, I really don't want to take your money, but Rogan will run through that d with no problem. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see Carter win, but they just didn't impress me any. From what I was told 6-7 ints and 10 or 12 sacks a game is the norm for Gibbs. Carter had one good drive in the game on the very first series. Gibbs d actually looked pretty good against Carter's O. That QB from Gibbs is so bad that if Carters O was decent they would have hung 50 on them. Gibbs moved the ball pretty well against Carter's d, that QB just kept throwing the ball to the middle where there was one reciever and 5 dbs. I thought Randy Carroll himself was playing QB. I know Fulton kicked several starters off of their team, but they'll still score at will on Carter. Then you look at Hamilton, Stokes, Gildner, Gatewood and of course Rogan on D and I'd almost bet you that Carter would be lucky to get 5 first downs or even cross the 50 yd line.

First time seeing these two teams play this year. Gibbs still is the poorest coached team in the area, hands down. They played what I'd call a very bad Carter team tough for 3qtrs. Gibbs qb is pathetic, he could possibly be the worst qb I've seen in years. They looked like they had a good stable of running backs, but Randy seems to be trying to build up this center who he has plaing QB'S stats. Gibbs d actually looked really good against a very weak Carter offense. Carter is much improved at the QB position from last year but overall they are a bad team playing in a very bad conference. Fulton will win by at least 40 next week and most likely put 70 on the board against a very weak Carter D.

I'll admit Carter has suprised me, but much improved QB play from last year has them rolling. The Bounds kid is heads and tails a much better QB than the Stanton kid was last year.

Guy's maybe I'm misinformed, but I played ball with a couple of guy's who have sons on this years Carter team. Bobby told me just the other day that they are going to be terrible this year. He's hoping that they'll win at least 5 games. Mike told me that he thought that everyone they play this year has a chance at beating them. Maybe they're wrong but both of these guy's have been around the Carter program since 1976 and they have both said this is going to be an ugly year for Carter football.

LL, you said Gibbs never has the athletes to win the region in any sport. Correct me if I'm wrong but they've won more region baseball championships than any other school in their region. They also have been pretty dominate in soccor over the past few years and they always have a top notch cross country team and what about girls softball. Problem with football is they have a Randy Carroll at the helm.I'm telling you when the game gets close in the fourth qt and they need a big play Coach Jones has to shake Randy and wake him up because he's dreaming he's on the lake with a 16 year old girl baiting his hook.

LL, I don't know enough about all the teams in 1-3a, I'm more familliar with 2-3a. I just have some friends with kids at both schools and one of my friends from Webb told me that Gibbs looked the best that they had ever looked against them. I am an idiot at times but I'm not stupid enough to ever pick a Randy Carroll coached team to ever win anything. I just will tell you from what I know of 1-3a this coming season that the Eagles have as good a chance as any to win it. I think you have this years Carter team way way overated. If something were to happen and Randy stepped down, then I would most likely pick the Eagles to win the division.Gibbs has always had the players to be competitive but Randy always has chosen to go with seniors over the best players.He hasn't changed in 30 years and wont until he retires next year. I have a good friend who is a head coach at school in 2-3a and he has said for years that Randy cares more about fishing than he does football, and you can see it on the field. He told me Randy will not take his kids to camp in the off season because it gets in the way of fishing. I was told that the Dustin Moore kid Randy had a couple of years ago was a big time d-1 prospect at linebacker as far as talent goes. After a couple of years under Randy the kid couldn't have started for another high school much less a d-1 school.

Gibbs moved the ball at ease against Webb last Friday. They also kept Webbs o from scoring. Gibbs may just fool some people this year. The Webb team would beat anyone in 1-3a

Falcon5 Blake Gildner is the best player on the defensive side of the ball and possibly the offense and you didn't even mention him. Blake will replace Ty Cobb at middle linebacker this season, so the Falcons will be much improved at that position.

Everyone I've talked to from Carter has said that they'll be very young and have a very long yr in 2006. Kick returners will probably be either Horsley or the Kid from Claiborne County(I can't remember his name). Watchout for the McMahan kid at Gibbs he may be the suprise player in the division.

I saw Rogan and Smith go head to head last yr with the season on the line and Smith won. I don't mean just on the last play but on several plays during that game. He also beat him 3 times on the last drive.

If you go by stats Dennis Rogan should win hands down. I believe he has over 2000 yds this season. If you go by what a player has done and where he has taken his team Wilson Cates should win. If you're going by who the best player is based on the plays that he's made this season Harrison Smith should win. I feel you should also have to consider Wesley Smith of Scott, I don't rember how many yds he finished with but it was more than 1500 and he played on as bad a team as their is in 3a except the Randy Carroll coached Gibbs team.

Catholic won because of great coaching. Fulton has a world of talent but they are not well coached. Catholic has good talent but they are the best coached team in the region. This time coaching overcame talent. Dennis is a very talented athlete but Harrison Smith was the best player on the field last night. He really took advantage of Dennis at conerback.

This should be a great game. LA is a team with a lot of heart and very well coached. AE is a team with great athletes, but I question their game plan. Question for you guy's that follow AE! I know that Maurice Davis is one of if not the fastest kid in the state, why don't they put the ball in his hands more than they do? LaQuenton Jones is another kid with outstanding speed but you don't see him on the field much, what's the problem there? Last but not least Chris Witten is another kid that has alway's been a star and with the same type speed as Maurice and LaQuenton and I had heard AE was looking for big things out of him when he left Webb. Does he even play and if not why? AE 24 LA 21

Great game, I was really shocked I thought LA had a better team than they showed Friday night. LA showed a lot of heart in coming back and that QB is an athlete. Carter is better than I thought as long as they keep the ball on the ground. Their QB is very overated, The 3 games I've seen him play this yr he kept throwing to the guy's in the other uniforms. His int's realy beat Carter Friday.

Fulton has the talent to make this a blow out. The thing with Fulton is that they have Buck walking the sidelines. Is this another game that the Blacks coaching ability can overcome Bucks lack of coaching ability. I look at Buck as the Randy Carroll of region 2 3a, but with two very good asst. coaches and a world of talent. Coach Householder is a great coach that always seems to coach his team to play better than their talent would have you believe. Gary can pull this one off but I will pick Fulton 49-7.

Having sen both teams this yr, I can tell you that Carter is not a very good team and LA is very good. I prdicted Fulton would beat Carter 42-7 and was wrong. I gave Carter way to much credit thinking that they may score late on Fultons freshman team but they were no chance in that. LA's O isn't as good as Fultons but their D is very good. LA should have knoe trouble disposing of a very weak 3a team. LA 24 Carter 7. Carter most likely will not score but I will give them 7 for home field.

I've seen both teams play and I will be honest with you Carter is not that good. Read this again Carter is not very good. They might finish 5th in 2-3a. Taylor and Stanton are said to be d1 prospects but the Mcmahan kid at Gibbs last week shut down Taylor and picked Stanton twice and my nephew told me Mcmahan found out Monday he's been playing on a fractured leg all yr. To tell the truth I hope I'm wrong, I would love to see Carter win but I just can't see it. I get tired of seeing one team win it all every yr. Just Like Maryville, I'd love to see them get beat but that may not happen this yr. I don't see the Falcons going all the way this yr but they will beat Carter 42-7.

I'm glad my boy graduated two yrs ago because this game will be ugly. I want to know when Randy ever had a team up for a game. He needs to quit dreaming about wetting his hook and go do it. Step down and let a real coach take the job and turn this program around. This team this yr has some talent but coaching and poor qb play has killed them. I believe the qb has 10 int's in the last 4 games. This is one yr coachless Randy should have run the option. Randy has said for yrs that he would win if they just put him in a division away from AE, Fulton and AC. Well Randy my boy this is that yr and you're in a very very weak division and guess what, YOU STILL CAN'T WIN. Get the message and get out of the game. It wasn't meant for you. I predict that once Randy does leave that within 4 yrs Gibbs will be the team to beat in this division.

Talent wise Gibbs is a better team than CAK but Bill is on another level than Randy Carroll. I'm looking for a better performance from the Eagles this week. But the truth is as long as Randy coaches the Eagles they will be lucky to score, plus their QB may be as bad as I've seen in sometime. CAK 35 Gibbs 3, Gibbs does have a good kicker and even Randy can't mess that up/

It's not that anyone hates the Gibbs program, it's just that no one can understand with the talent up there why they can't even line up. Randy is the most pathetic fb coach to ever walk the sidelines in the kfl. A real man would have seen a long time ago that coaching wasn't his calling ans resigned a long time ago. It seems like Randy enjoy's putting his players and the community through this heck that they've been in for almost 30 yrs. I've seen real coaches that couldn't get the job done at other schools step down rather than bury their school and community in the kind of heck Randy has put the Gibbs community in. Kevin Catlett stood up and did the right thing at Clinton and Kevin could take that Gibbs program and have them in the playoffs almost ever yr. Admit it Randy can't coach a lick and needs to go ahead and retire to Jeff County and put the Gibbs community out of their misery.

I'm shocked that Fulton is having this tough of a yr. I know several of the kids on this team and the talent that they have. The kns had said that the Gatewood brothers were big time players both over 300lbs. My wife also talked to a man at Home Depot that said he and his son had moved here from California. He said everyone on the West Coast was looking at his son and he was another 300lbder. I have yet to here anything about either one of these 3 young men. Ty Cobb being a sr, I felt this would be his yr. This looks like the Buck Coatney coached teams that I'm used to seeing. The Blacks are both great coaches, that have made Buck look good the past couple of yrs but I just wonder if Buck has read his own press and limited what the Blacks can do this yr.
