What will you conservatives do IF
tngator replied to southernpride's topic in Politics, National Issues, & Controversy
Laugh my tail end off that people would be dumb enough to elect someone that has a plan for everything (except for paying for his plans). honestly, are you voting for Kerry or against Bush? I have yet to find ONE person who is supporting Kerry that can tell me 3 things that they like about Kerry that doesn't involve a negative Bush quote. Can you? -
A few games? He was 12-6 at home and our 'good years' were 8-5. We'll be lucky to win more than 2 games the rest of this season.
-
Two words: Ron Zook. they weren't ready for that game and that is ridiculous, but that is ok because we are now getting in position to bring the Ol Ball Coach back to his rightful position to re-start some streaks. Hope everyone has enjoyed the past couple of years

TENNEESSE HIGH VS. MARYVILLE REBALS PLAYOFFS
tngator replied to CentrALBObcat#64's topic in Football
We'll cross this bridge when we get to it. First, both teams have to make it that deep; however, as long as Maryville doesn't lose its focus, no team should come within 10 points of victory. (((adds gas to fire))) -
agree with the General. UT is in the driver's seat, but they need to get Riggs more touches to take the pressure off of Ainge. If Ainge has very many games like he did against Ole Miss, then UT could potentially lose a couple more games (only one inside the conference). It's going to take a heck of a game from UT to beat Bama this weekend.
-
People can chastise me all they want, but there are fewer than 5 teams in the State that have the athletes to beat this team. Roll Red Roll!
-
That makes absolutely no sense to me at all. It's up to the coaching staff to end that. I remember playing for Maryville in the mid-80's, if we got caught watching the crowd rather than paying attention we got to do one of three things: not play run run
-
we had our chances and couldn't capitalize. If UF had scored when they had the ball 1st and goal from the one, you wouldn't hear anyone talking about the refs. Good game by UT's freshmen.

Will everyone get a chance to vote
tngator replied to a topic in Politics, National Issues, & Controversy
heard on the radio yesterday morning that there is a minimum of 1,000 registered voters in Florida that voted in Fla in 2000 + voted absentee ballot in New York. Are these some of the people that shouted disenfranchisement in 2000? -
Greg Judkins; I used to raise cain at basketball games with him when we were in high school. He is a Red Rebel through and through, but IMHO, he doesn't come close to touching Skeeter Shields (former Maryville announcer and Mayor)
-
Brackins Brothers weren't that good and UT was pretty much filled at LB at the time. Pennington: no one knew he would bloom the way he did; he was a longshot coming out of high school. Rickey Upton: whatever happened to him? Just like currently, the Huber kid from Powell, he is a good player, but Bama went after him to try and get to the Bruhin brothers IMHO.
-
thumb COOL! See you there!
-
yep, that's the way it has pretty much always been (and should be); you don't like the team you're playing, but if they have a shot at a gold ball and are in a different division, why not pull for them and wish them well? When I went to Maryville, the vast majority of my friends went to Alcoa, Heritage or William Blount.
-
WAAAAAAAY to early to start talking about the yearly field trip to Nashville. Maryville has played poorly enough in some of the halves this season to allow someone to knock them off. I like what we are seeing thus far, but we aren't even half way there yet.
-
I only managed to hear the 2nd halfl; sounded like a very well played game by LCHS. Congrats! I never would have thought that one. I wish I could have seen the what? 3 punts in succession in the 4th quarter (3 straight flags). Congrats!
-
UAB has a chance, not much of one, but a chance. Then Louisville will wear them out, followed by a drubbing by Southern Miss. Memphis has a good team, but who have they played? Ole Miss is not a very good team with Spurlock at QB and UTC was their 2nd game. Corso makes statements like that for a reason ---> we're talking about it aren't we?

put your cursor over the image, right click and then choose 'save picture as'......need to make sure the image isn't copyrighted to coacht.com first though.

This one ranks right up there under the ones where people believe the WTC planes had pods attached to them. When are the Dems going to focus on the issues rather than trying to dig dirt that doesn't exist? Oh what in the heck was I thinking It's funny how everyone wants to immediately discount the swifts, but yet what was the Kerry camp's immediate reaction? They attempted to brown book the group rather than respond. What's next? George W Bush had a Latino lover in 1972 that he got a job with the state of Alabama and then paid her to hush up an affair? Man, I can't wait until this election is over..........

Tough question.....a lot tougher than it appears on the surface. If we ignore them, what are the possibilities of a small suit case sized nuke being brought to the US? Initially, if we were dealing with the larger unconventional weapons, I would say let France and Germany worry about it thumb .
-
I agree with your first sentence whole heartedly; however, the rest of it: when have we ever done that?
-
That's the problem with Rather, he's a mouthpiece, not a journalist. He relies on others to check the sources. All of this will not matter in @ a month or so; the book Unfit for Command did not just have its title lifted from thin air. Remember, you heard it here first. thumb

John Kerry the Senator
tngator replied to noonesfool's topic in Politics, National Issues, & Controversy
go to factcheck.org and type in "moveon.org" in the search parameter.....it is about as unbiased as newsmax.com is thumb -
Ever notice how when you watch the news that video is nearly always showing some dude with a scarf over his face firing an RPG at US troops? Now ask yourself how a reporter manages to get killed......they know it isn't a game, but in order to get that 'Pulitzer' shot, they put themselves into harms way. We have done everything that we possibly can to limit civilian casualties, but unfortunately in a war, it happens. Not saying I like it, but it happens.

Florida by 9 (homer alert) LSU will shut down the Cadillac (look for Ronnie Brown to outgain him again) and they will force Campbell to throw the ball more than he has all season. Look for LSU in a semi-close one only due to location.
