  1. I feel a lot better now that Saban is out of Baton Rouge. We should be loaded, assuming the QBs progress like our expectations are assuming they will. Secondary will struggle, but I've heard that same thing for the last 7 years at least. We just have to keep the attitudes in check and we should do just fine.
  2. Actually, it's "the love of money is the root of all evil."
  3. I agree, but it is one of the last few things left on there that is worth watching. The sketch is called "Brian Fellows Sufari Planet." If you have seen the skit, then you would understand why I think of that every time I see Fellows get burned, have the slant run on him, miss a tackle, etc. etc. etc.
  4. Thanks, I do appreciate it.
  5. Thanks. I thought Jackson North Side was supposed to play in it. What happened?
  6. Has no one else seen the character Tracy Morgan plays on SNL about the stupid animal lover? His name is Brian Fellows. He'll occasionally just yell "I'm Brian Fellows!" Not quite as funny as Chris Farley doing Matt Foley, but still funny. You'd have to see it to understand it.
  7. Yeah, that's probably what will end up happening. It'd be mich better to have one of him about to unload on a QB though.
  8. Thanks for the info. One of my friends told me about it from home, but he has a relative who made it so I guess he got the inside scoop from him about who made it and who didn't. Be sure to post it when it comes out General.
  9. Does anyone else think the words "I'm Brian Fellows!" everytime Fellows does something in a game?
  10. When Ainge went down against ND, right after halftime when Clausen went out, a bunch of people in my section started chanting "cooter, cooter, cooter." Mind you I am no longer a college kid, but a respectable adult (ok, so that can be debated) and sit with the older people. Seeing 60 year old men chant "cooter" was one of the highlights of my Neyalnd experience this year.
  11. I'd love to see a lifesize statue in the football museum of #92 myself as well.
  12. LOL, I would love to see Gibby throw today and a manager come out to take him out because he had thrown 100 pitches or because a lefty was up next and he wanted a better matchup. The next pitch Gibson would have thrown would have been atthe managers head as he was walking out to yank him.
  13. I read an article today that summed it up well. People are jealous of him. That's why he didn't win the Heisman. So many people are jealous of him becuase he seems perfect. There aren't any major flaws that can be pointed out. I mean, for crying out loud, people tried hard and the worst thing they could come up with was a female trainer walking into to locker room and getting mooned by him when he was at UT. So if you can't make him look bad, just diminish his accomplishments. Forget all the good he did at UT, juts mention he couldn't beat Florida. And it will be very sad if he doesn't win the Super Bowl, becuase all the Peyton-haters will come out in full force talking about how bad he is and how he can't win the big game. I used to say that it was the Weurfell factor, but in recent years I've changed my tune. And that Woodson......classy guy. I hear he may be looking for a new residence after the season.
  14. I saw that unfortunatly, it was Dec. 26 they were talking about. The ol' Sun online sometimes isn't as up to date as it should be.
  15. How is North Side doing and what do the brackets look like now?
  16. Can anybody put a posting of the Jackson Sun All West TN team? I didn't go home during Christmas this year and haven't gotten a chance to see it.
  17. I think wtso.com was supposed to be that and it just never took off. I think it's a great idea. Hey coachT, regionalize!
  18. I really hope that UT will retire his jersey or something similar. He was to UT in the 80s what Peyton was in the 90s.
  19. Chavis likes to play an aggressive style defense. Unfortunately this year, with such a young secondary, he had to play more conservative style to protect the DBs. If Allen returns and we have some experience back there, the D could be really good next year.
  20. Current player - Schilling. Would have said Clemens until the 7th game of NLCS and he was proven human. All time - Give me Gibson. I don't care about lineups, stats, and what not. He would dominate any period, any batter.
  21. This is a great article on him from ESPN. http://espn.go.com/classic/s/2004/1227/1953904.html
  22. In case any of you missed the comment during the telecast........ The one grip I have heard about this record is that it is due to the NFL cracking down once on the illegeal contact downfield. Well, I'm not going to argue that, because common sense would tell you that. However......the illegeal contact on receivers rule was instituted in 1978. The last year that the NFL cracked down on the rule was.............1984! And guess what record was broke that year? So in short, when people try to cheapen this accomplishment by using the receivers rule, be sure to remind them that Marino had this "advantage" as well.
  23. I was an Eagles fan until 92, and a Packers fan from 93 on once he went there. He was one of the best.
  24. Weis having two jobs has already starting and will continue to have an effect on this team. I'm not so sure they have a ton of magic left in them. Kind of remind me of the Titans is 2000. Towards the end of the season they started to tail off more and more. It'll be interesting to see what will happen with the playoffs.
  25. In the Giants/Steelers game (in which Eli looked a lot better), Hines Ward made a nice grab for 9 yard pickup then spiked the ball. When did this stop being unsportsmanlike conduct? There are few things that bug me more than this in the NFL. You made a nice grab, ok, now go to the huddle. If you do anything more you should be flagged every time. I find it especially wierd since the NFL does so much to crack down on excessive celebration. Anybody else got any ideas on this?
