I have been to the Sequatchie County stadium before several years ago. I hope you're not making reference to the same place I visited -- it was the most redneck looking place i've ever been to. Perhaps they built a new one, I certainly hope so.

it certainly didn't hurt in that particular game, i was just making light of the fact that they won't be able to afford that kind of cushion versus a better offensive team. Rhea Co isn't what I would consider an offense juggernaught.

if you're new i suggest you read the terms of service thing or whatever. I think that the people who admin these boards would like to not have multiple posts on the same topic (ie., Maryville first round playoffs x10). I'm just making a suggestion because I read inside another thread about 2 days ago where the admin locked it due to redudancy. by the way i'm not trying to be a ######. I would suggest using the "search" tab at the top of the fall sports>football forum home. Other forums direct people to use that, and it's a great feature to have on a forum with lots of members like this one. For instance you could quickly search "maryville playoffs" and see if there is a thread about maryville in the first round...it's sort of a considerate thing to do for those who don't have time to filter through 50 threads about the same thing.

William Blount definitely plays the hardest schedule in Tennessee. Not only do they play several of the top 10 5A teams, they play 4A #1 Maryville, and 2A #1 Alcoa.

Fulton would get drilled. Riverdale and Maryville would obviously be playing for the championship, and Alcoa would beat Catholic by 200 points. good fight.

i think the answer to the question is, no one cares about the private schools because they stink. Sure, occationally one or two of them is good, but look @ who they play -- they're like the Boise State of TN high school football. (no offense, please don't slice my wrists with credit cards or $100 bills)

found out today, Greenback High School is NOT a blount county school. Parts of Greenback are geographically in Blount County, but the high school is considered Loudon Co and funded by Loudon Co.

well..obviously if it's very muddy you'd want to wear deeper spikes; however, I always prefered the smallest possible spikes.

i agree with this also. Most of my memories of high school cross country weren't about winning and running fast times, they were about having fun with my friends. It made me very disappointed for some of my teammates who couldn't run in big meets just because they weren't fast enough. Given that the course could facilitate extra runners, I would love to see 10 person teams....afterall the whole idea is for kids to have fun. They show up 5 days a week for after school practice, and sometimes don't get to run in the big races. There is something wrong with competition supercedes comradery in high school sports.

neither team has beaten anyone good this season -- at least Catholic is going into the game undefeated. Catholic will dominate webb, but that's not saying much.

for blount county to only have four schools, i would say knox county would win. however, per capita there is no question blount country has better players.
