ABC Math incoming.... Hillsboro beat Maplewood 36-8. Maplewood lost 17-0 to East Nashville. East Nashville beat Smyrna 42-0. What does that mean in this matchup. Nothing. But I wouldn't look to much into that Ensworth game by Hillsboro. They would be most of the state by that margin.

That school has almost 1000 kids they shouldn't ever have a problem with numbers. Its always odd to me that they are usually pretty decent in Jr. High football and then it drops off in high school.

Trousdale County schools have been doing very well. So have Watertown.... All except the middle school for some odd reason as they are quite a bit behind the Elementary and High School. Its been that way for several years now.

Sunbright won 14-7 last week against a RBS team that had 8 turnovers. Everybody will get to play in this one.

They have 19 starters coming back from last year so they have to be better, right? But the only win they had last year was a 14-0 win over Red Boiling Springs. I have seen some teams over the years that come out and throw the ball over all the place. But because they aren't that good up front and are unable to run the ball. I'm not saying that is the case. Just saying a team throwing early and often may not necessarily be a good thing. Just a nugget for the thread. This is the 8th meeting of these teams since 2005. Westmoreland is 7-1 in the series since that point by a combined score of 282-70.

Especially when you are likely to go undefeated and mostly uncontested in your region.

Sunbright has played RBS and Pickett County the first two weeks. For those unaware those are schools that regularly contemplate dropping football and at times have barely been able to field teams. Greenback by whatever score they want.

As long as they beat either MJ or Hendersonville they most likely will finish 1 or 2 in the region. We will see what WC does when they play somebody. Rossview hasn't looked good at all the first two weeks. Station Camp might not win a game.

Before last year TC had won 9 in a row over Watertown. And by a combined score of 388-73.

In the last 20 years TC has finished either 1st or 2nd in their region 14 times (1st 10 times and 2nd 4 times). Who is gonna step up? East Robertson is already 0-2 with losses by 25 and 28 points. They lost their best player/Quarterback for the season. Jackson County is 1-1 with a 2-point win over a Sale Creek team that as far as I know has never had a winning season and traditionally only wins 1-2 games a year. Cascade is 0-1 after losing to Moore County by a couple touchdowns. Westmoreland is 1-1 after losing 35-2 to LA and beating Macon County by 11. They beat Macon County by 4 touchdowns last year. This is the championship Roy. I will go out on another limb.... Oakland may end winning their region too ;)

That is what I was thinking as well. They struggle to win games at all in 1A why would they look into moving up?

We will see. I had Lebanon going 5-5 before the season started but they may do better than expected as it doesn't appear that MJ and Hendersonville are as good as in recent years. And Lebanon has given them all they wanted under Gentry. Lebanon went 8-3 last year and 7-3 regular season with region championship doesn't seem impossible at the moment.

They may have won their game for the year. I don't see how you can lose to Cannon County and beat anybody in 6A.

White County is 2-0 as well. Watch out Oakland....

No doubt. Cane Ridge is 0-2. They lost to Pearl and Brentwood. They might finish 8-2. Blackman is 0-2. They lost to Alcoa and Ravenwood. Oakland might be the only loss left on their schedule. Obviously Oakland and Pearl Cohn have started off with big wins and look really good. But I will give Stewarts Creek as somebody to compare to Wilson Central. Nobody expected that much from Stewarts Creek going into the season. But two weeks in and they have beaten Mt. Juliet and beat Antioch 69-6. Those are both good wins for that program that have exceeded expectations. Wilson Central has beaten Springfield and Overton. So far the game against Springfield looks like a good win. We will see as the season plays out. But they have beaten Overton last 4 years. So a one-point win over them doesn't really mean anything.

I don't think we have to worry about them looking ahead on the schedule. This is the region championship and by far the toughest game they will have until the playoffs.

Probably right. But weren't some people expecting them to be better this year? I thought this team has a good amount of Seniors. If they go 0-10 with a team that was expected to challenge for a playoff spot.

I'm confident it will happen. They are already 2-0 and have remaining games against Station Camp, Antioch and Lavergne which look like they should win those games based on what we've seen through 2 games. The game against Rossview next week will likely be to determine the 4th seed.

They have a really favorable schedule and some teams are down as well. I think they will make the playoffs because Station Camp is Station Camp and Rossview looks like they are down this year. I think they can win 5-6 games with that schedule and get the 4th seed in the playoffs. Tell them what they won!!!! A 1st round trip to OAKLAND!!!!

Rockvale will get their first win this week against Warren County.

That might change this year. I'm looking at that schedule and 0-10 seems like a possibility. They have Hendersonville, Beech, Mt. Juliet and Lebanon which will be losses. Then they also have Stewarts Creek and Wilson Central which are looking like they are better than anybody expected which will likely be losses. The only games I see left on the schedule that look like could be wins are Rossview and Springfield as both of those teams haven't looked good so far. But I likely wouldn't pick Station Camp over either of those teams.
