  1. I as said early in the week, I had a bad feeling after last weeks game. When we didn't move the ball that well against McGavocks defense and the way Mc. offense exploited our secondary the few times they were able to move the ball. I guess it I was wrong though, it wasn't a classic, just a good butt kicking. Sometimes undefeated seasons make you complicant.
  2. It has been awhile since I posted about my beloved Green Wave. As a diehard fan, I am a little concerned after last weeks game. Yeah we won 33-14, but Mcgavock looked liked a typical Metro team in the sense they blew the game after halftime with poorly coached special teams and a bad offense. I didn't think we moved the ball on them that well (except for the nice 70 yard run!) over all, but that may be because playing two backups for the first time. Gallatin faithfull tell me I am wrong!!!!!!!!!!! My point is the O didn't look as dominating as some people are saying on here last Friday. However, we do have a better D then Dickson County and they shut out Ravenwood last Friday. Gallatin 10 Ravenwood 7 Should be a classic.
  3. I agree, hats off to my Northwest neighbors, RBS. 40 in a row, but who is counting? The kids could easily just quit and the school could just drop the program, but they keep coming back for more butt kickings. These kids will make in life because they no what it is like to lose and lose and lose, but not give up!
  4. By far, the most annoying thing that in Tennessee High School Football is Smith County's parking lot. It feels like your car is going to capsize any second. Also those annoying shakers you people use.
  5. Ben will be back and the smoke stack will be put out! WAVE bye bye Beech.
  6. Philo, you are a little off on your facts, the team you are thinking is the Pierz Pioneers, they are a high school team. I have an uncle that lives in Morrison County in Minnesota and has told me about them. The head coach strongly believes in push-ups, chin-ups, and dips. NO WEIGHTS! I think (my uncle is not 100% sure) that the coach went to college with Hershel Walker at Georgia in the early '80's. Look them up on the internet if you don't believe me!
  7. Indy will win this game, and yes Batman was a tree hugger!
  8. McGavock does not have the speed they had in the past. Got beat by an average Kenwood team. H'ville by two scores.
  9. We didn't look all that great Friday, but a lot that was because it was the first game. This will get ugly quick. Wave bye bye toppers.
  10. The Wave will Roll once again!!!!!!!!!!! 1. GALLATIN - already nough been said 2. Hendersonville - on the come back trail 3. Antioch - Offense will be explosive 4. Overton - Defense is always one of the best 5. Hillwood - new coach will have them going 6. Hunters Lane - about like last year 7. McGagvick - who cares 8. Glenncliff - about like last year
  11. Great game by Gallatin, McGavock didn't have a chance. Good ball control by Gallatin and too many turnovers by McGavock. I have to agree, McGavock showed a lot of class when things were going bad for them. You never would have known these two were bitter enemies. Go Greeen Wave!
  12. This could be the dumbest post of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who cares what happened two years ago against a DIFFERENT team.
  13. Finally, week 10 for ANOTHER region CHAMPIONSHIP for the GREEN WAVE. I am going to give McGagvick some props. I thought they were just lucky last year. They must look know what to do to win 8 games, AND only 8 games. I guess great athletes (LaDamian Tomlinson Carter, according to Coach Broome comments in the paper) can really help a team. However, I got news for you Raiders, LD went for a whole 7 yards yesterday. Carter will do the same this Friday. Nah Nah Nah Nah, Say Heeeeey, Good Bye!!! WAVE BYE BYE TO DA RAIDERS.
  14. Ease up on Coach. He and his staff are doing a good job. The WC game was very close, closer than the score even showed. The Overton game was lost because of turnovers. Last I checked Coach didn't carry the ball any. We beat a good Antioch team and we should win out. I will take 8-2 every year. Calvin Short was great, but so was (fill in the blank) at (pick a school)! Almost all schools go through cycles. We are in one now and we still pretty darn good. Time moves on and so should you. WAVE Bye Bye Warriors
  15. I heard the same thing about the recievers. That will give Overton problems because they have yet to play a team with the quality recievers of these 3. We will win this game through the air. WAVE Bye Bye Bobcats!
  16. I have been out of town so just now getting caught up on good ole coacht. Wave88, Come on now, this game is big, BUT it is not for second place. This is to stay in first place. I don't see McGavock beating us two years in a row. Also, I can't imagine Brown tearing us up all by himself against our new and improved defense. WAVE Bye Bye Bears!
  17. I have said it 4 weeks in a row, and I will say it again WAVE BYE BYE WC!
  18. Well, I never thought I would say this, but McGagvick in the win. I predict a sloppy game with many fumbles. McGagvick-12 Hunnas Lane-7 By the way, Gallatin in a romp over Glenncliff.
  19. Gallatin by as many as the want. If the Glenn can't score against Strapford or Underton, don't expect them to score against the Wave. Wave bye bye Glenncliff
  20. Beech 2-0/Gallatin 2-0 I am going with Gallatin by at least 2 touchdowns. Sheffield will be stopped like Lewis was for Hillwood. I don't see Beech scoring on us. Wave Bye Bye Beech
  21. Sounds like you got lucky to me based up what 2Truth said, but I will give a dog his due, "Congratulations, Mcgagvick!" Still see you in week 10.
  22. I will say with Sawyer, you have a good shot at the region. 0-2 means nothing in region play.
  23. Hendersonville appears to be struggling but are actually not that bad, check out last years start, they will get it together this week. I see Sawyer slicing and dicing the Mc defense for at least 4 TD's and 200 yards. Kenwood scored 7 on them and Hendersonville is a lot better than Mc. H-ville D didn't give up any TD's to Beech, I see the same this week. H-28 Mc-0 (c-ya week 10!)
  24. Gallatin wins this game easily. Hillwood will have no answers for the Green Wave. Might have been a game last year, but not this year. Gallatin by at 21
