OP, believe me I hope you are right but that combination of Keeling, Bass, Elder and Mayberry were a pretty good set of LB's with sideline to sideline coverage. I am excited about the season and hope Prather, Smith and company does put the 08 team in the dust. Go Pats

OP...I agree with your summation except the "most athletic defense".....that '08 defense was a beast. I hope at the end of the season I will be able to agree with you but not from what I have seen this spring.

Blackman has a DB that has not played since Freshman year but should be a good addition to their defense. He should also pose a coverage problem at WR with his better than average speed. I would love to see Gant in the red/white across town.

I was at the Oakland/Antioch scrimmage and saw a kid named Nix. I hear his dad is a coach at MTSU. Does anyone know anything about him? He has good size and can move.

I must admit I was surprised at how easily they moved the ball against the Owls that year. They did not have one Sr. D1 offer on the team that year but they had a lot of depth and playmakers on that squad.
