  1. If anyone has a schedule could you post it. Thanks
  2. Maybe Coach Boskin can give us a list of the Cleveland Duals participants?
  3. Cole Holloway should fit into the Baylor line up around 138 to 145. I believe Robinson went 126 at Super 32 and could shift around depending on needs.
  4. Is there a list of teams for this year's tournament? I am guessing Soddy, CBHS, and Pope?
  5. Not sure but maybe David Mang. Might get some input on that from one of the Bears.
  6. I think it is highly unlikely that TN will ever return to one division. The idea that one division or multiple divisions is what makes a state inferior or superior is flawed. A state will gain more respect based on it's national presence. Schools that compete against the top programs in the country and win will be what puts Tennessee on the map. The more some of the Tennessee schools begin to model programs like Collins Hill, Christiansburg, and Brandon, the more the state and the southeast will gain respect. Tournaments like the Cleveland Duals, McCallie Inv. to name two and schools attending the Collins Hill tournament will have a huge impact on wrestling in Tennessee. We are beginning to see more of the top programs in our state traveling out of state to compete against nationally ranked teams and hold their own. It is very exciting to see TN kids wrestling in Missouri, Ohio, Minnesota, and at Collins Hill against national powerhouses. These tournaments and outstanding summer programs put these young men in a position to be seen by college coaches and to gain valuable skills.
  7. After quarter finals it appears as Father Ryan is pulling away from the pack, with McCallie still in 2nd, MBA in 5th and Baylor moving up to 7th. Error in earlier post Baylor does have a 195 and 220 competing, sorry for the mix up.
  8. Father Ryan is 1st with McCallie 2nd, Montgomery Bell Academy 5th, and Baylor 9th as of this morning. You can follow the tournament at Trackwrestling. Baylor is missning Michael Murphy at 106 with Caleb Canada dropping to 106 for this tournament, so no 113, 195, 220, 138, (Southerland is out), Matthew Cate is out, Cole Holloway is out, and Houston Clemmons is not wrestling this weekend. A tough year for the injury bug at Baylor. It looks like the Tennessee teams are having an excellent tournament. Tennessee with four in the top 10 after day one. Top ten are as follows: 1. Father Ryan 85.0 2. McCallie 81.5 3. St. Paul`s LA 68.0 4. St. Paul`s MD 65.5 5. Montgomery Bell Academy 64.0 6. Greater Atlanta Christian 63.0 7. Calvary Chapel 62.5 8. Holy Innocents 61.5 9. Baylor 61.0 10. Archbishop Rummel 60.0
  9. There are a lot of Baylor wrestlers missing.
  10. Very tough wrestle that has been nationally ranked at times; also Chris Caton who wrestled Campbell Lewis in the finals has had some epic matches with Watson at the Southeastern Prep Slam. There were two outstanding tournaments this weekend, Fandetti-Richardson Brawl and the Brentwood tourney. Great to see these tournament directors bringing in such fantastic teams/wrestlers.
  11. Cupcake, how I'd some of the Chattanooga guys do?
  12. Are there any results from the early duals?
  13. Does anyone have a Soddy Inv. update?
  14. BB do you have the match breakdowns for Baylor vs Ryan and McCallie vs Ryan. I caught the last four matches of McCallie/Ryan online, great broadcast.
  15. Could someone tell us who won what? The website is for the birds; the Bradley results are posted and the McCallie results are posted, someone in the know please post these results.
  16. For those of us that have been at Cleveland vs Thompson. (CHS40. Thompson 25). How about an update on CBHS/Soddy
  17. Cleveland, Soddy Daisy, Baylor, McCallie, Father Ryan, Christian Brothers, Independence, Science Hill, Franklin, Gordon Lee, LaFayette, Rome, Woodland, Thompson, and two more teams that i can't recall. I believe these teams have all agreed to attend.
  18. Does anyone have a list of teams participating in the UTC Old Timers Dual on December 3rd?
  19. What amazing tournaments the southeast has in December; Cleveland Duals, McCallie Invitational, Kyle Maynard Duals and then Southeastern Prep Slam in January. Tremendous wrestling available in the Chattanooga and Atlanta areas all within an hour and a half drive.
  20. Regardless of the reason it is not going to be the same around the Chattanooga area next year without such an outstanding wrestler.
  21. I think 112 and 125 are definitely the most safe. Bolton at 215 I think is pretty safe, while Mackey could catch him I think Bolton is the cream of the crop at that weight. Completely safe with Kennedy had he been healthy. Really ashamed he is injured. Doster vs Lopez would be awesome rematch and how fun would 130 be with Lewis, Woods and Manley all going at it! Oh we can only dream of a reality with a sane TSSAA instead of the insanity of today.
  22. David Helton to Duke on a Football Scholarship
  23. These brackets are full of ranked kids facing each other in the second round with non-ranked competitors having the opportunity to advance in weaker match-ups because of the current system. The TSSAA tends to react very slowly in implementing the right protocols for the sport of wrestling. It took so long to get double-elimination instituted; hopefully thorough seeding and bracket alignment will take place soon. At least thankfully double-elimination is in effect so that hopefully there won't be an unfortunate wrestler eliminated early due to an early loss and dysfunctional bracketology.
  24. Any results from this region yet? Cleveland Region seems to be falling about as expected another barn burner between Hutson and Simpkins with Hutson winning 1-0.
