Alright here's the deal with mcminn.....TONS of athletes, just no line. If you look back 4 or 5 years ago at the school, we were loaded with some very big kids, but if you look now, there are not many real big kids around the school, that's the problem. And this year we have kids playin positions they shouldn't be playing. Trace McDermott is at fullback and has not done much thus far. He needs to be back at wingback so he can use his speed as a weapon, they should put Keith Melton or Nigel at fullback. And we HAVE to get a passing game goin. I'm not saying we can't have one, but we haven't had much of one so far, i mean ooltewah had 9 guys on the line and we couldn't do a thing about it. And 27allgo, looking at your last post talking about how we did alright against ooltewah, i agree with you a little bit but when you talk about how we "controlled" the clock, well what good does that do us if we only score 7 points(in the 4th quarter at that) and if we let Ooltewah score everytime they get it? Go Tribe and beat Cleveland!

Um they don't play this year and in the spring mcminn beat central.

Yes i agree Tony. Slack has been the most consistent. Hunter is looking a little better than he was though, but he should be the #1 man on the team. What is wrong with him? And flamethrower, when i said he doesn't play golf, i meant he didn't play for the team. And he could't make the team anyways so dont worry about it, BE.

Beat our refs? haha i must have missed that watchin us play this year. I don't know which way this game will go. I would like to say that McMinn will win, but i cant. In order for McMinn to win, we have to get some kind of passing game going. Ooltewah had 8 and 9 on the line and we still could't do anything. We do get a couple players back from injury this week so hopefully that will help us a little bit. The defense looked pretty good last week against the run, so if Cleveland doesn't have the passing game Ooltewah has, it should be a good game. LB Nigel Holland has been playing very good this year, so there's a player to watch out for.

Ok first of all McMinn doesnt play central this year. And second, last spring mcminn beat central in a game they had. So why dont you learn the facts before you start talkin.

Haha a central fan talking about Maryville football? You have got to be joking. I assume you saw that they put a woopin on Alcoa last night, who was favored by probably everybody but Maryville fans and players. Quarles is the best coach in TN.

The game next week will probably get ugly, i think it's on CSS, too. The game last night was bad, the O-line didn't play well, running game wasn't very good. Passing game was ok at times. Thought we missed a few open receivers for first downs, but it's just the 1st game, hopefully we will only get better. This Brian Marshall kid, did he play basketball last year on jv? I have been hearing a lot about him.

Looks like we will be without 3 starters for this game. Defensive end Robert Moore will be out for the year with a torn ACL. I thought he would have a very good year this year, sad to see this happen to him his senior year.

I think McMinn pulls out a win. Hopefully they can get some players back from injury for the 1st game of the season. Trace McDermott will have 100+ yards rushing.

I heard they played well on both sides. Once again, another injury. Robert Moore a starting defensive end hurt his knee and is supposedly out a minimum 6 weeks, he's arguably the best d-lineman we got along with Matt Cox. He also would see time at WR.

From what i hear they just had a real bad scrimmage. One bright side however, the freshman/jv looked good and have continued to suprise. Gabe Campbell had a couple TD passes to Josh Simpson.

He doesn't play golf. The top 3 guys are Tyler Webb, Hunter Dees, and Robert Nelson, and the order of that could change any day.

I saw him play in a scrimmage last year and i thought he would be real good. Just a real smooth player.

Yea not to mention he would be a 2-way starter. I think he's out for 4-6 weeks.

Braden would have started at safety this year, but since he is unfortunetly no longer with us, Lebron Arnwine moved up to start, and he dislocated his shoulder in practice and will likely miss the first game vs. Chattanooga Central. Now, Joel Moody who was a starter at corner, who has just broke his leg. So lets hope things get better for them.

That was a little bit different though, at least we had came off a winning season.

I hear Joel Moody broke his leg in the scrimmage. That's the 2nd time he's broke it since spring practice.

In addition to the scrimmage vs. South Doyle, i think they have another scrimmage on the 17?(date may be wrong) with McCallie at McCallie.

Well, McMinn will have a lot of very talented athletes this year, but once again the question is the line. They have gotten a little bigger i think, but not much. I will discuss offense and defense. On offense-James Carr will be QB, and the backup from last year who had LOTS of potential to start this year, Devon Johnson who would be a sophmore, has moved to Wisconsin. Trace McDermott will make the move to fullback as he has bulked up a lot,benching 300 and squating 500, and is probably still the fastest player on the team, benching 300 and squating 500. Nigel Holland will also see time at fullback. Joel Moody will be wingback and a few others. Defense- Matt Cox and Robert Moore will be a good pair of defensive ends, i hear Cox has made a lot of improvement and should have a good year. Holland returns at lineback, as does Wade Gosset, and Keith Melton. Secondary will consist of McDermott, Moody, Jon Southerland, and Lebron Arnwine(who may miss the 1st game due to a dislocated shoulder). The kicker for this year will probably be freshman Stephen Stansell. I think that's about it, i probably missed some people in there.

I can understand wantin to put your school on here but come on, when you are as awful as Bradley you're just embarrassing yourself.

Watch out for McMinn this year! Hunter Dees and T-Webb are back in addition to others. But look for Hunter Dees to have a big year. Also they add Robert Nelson into the mix this year, and the kid can absoloutly smash the ball.

I don't think they have had signing day yet so Brandon Warren is not at FSU quite yet.
