Really not much talent in the middle schools, not much coaching in the middle schools and not being allowed to change any of that was the reason for Coach Hart going to Trenton where he will be allowed to control all that.. Good luck to Coach Hart very smart decision on his behalf. Within 3 yrs Trenton will be contesting again in single A.

Obion has a very good team, but I will say, I was impressed with the way Gibson Co played defensively. They were only down by 6 points with just under 4 minutes to go in the game despite not being able to hit an open 3 all night. Obion finished the game at the ft line after gc was fotced to foul. I would think gc can take some positive things away from this game with the states #2 team.

Gibson Co. lady pioneers handed Madison academic their first loss of the season tonight at the lions club Christmas tournament in Martin. It was a great game by both schools! Gibson Co. improves to 10-4 and now plays westview in the championship tomorrow night at 7 pm. Gibson Co. has looked alot better their last 3 games and always seems to find they're stride as the season goes on. Keep it up ladies!

I wouldn't count Gibson Co. out yet. Have lost 3 close to good teams and have beaten some good teams as well. remember how much the team improved thru the year last year I expect Coach Hart to do the same with them this year. The team has some good players, just have to get more consistent with their scoring. I say they'll be around in the end.

Couldn't agree more! Was able to see 2 days of the camp and the 3 starting guards for gibson county are the real deal they dominated other players. They also bring 2 more in off the bench that can play. Post look improved as well. Should be good times again for the lady pioneers this year after getting close last season!!!! Couldnt agree more! Great job Coach Hart did with this group of young ladies that had very little experience playing and in playing key roles during games. This group of girls showed what hard work and determination can do! I expect next season to be better as this team only loses 3players and returns a great nucleus and some outstanding young players as well. I expect this team to make a run at the "Boro". But again congratulations to Coach Hart and The Lady Pioneers on a great season and showing the GC Lady Pooneer tradition!

Couldn't agree more! Absolutely nothing for the ladies of GC to be ashamed of! OC is one of the top. Teams in the state and i still believe gc is also just got out played on thhis night! congrats to OC, and get rready for region ladies!! Still alot of basketball to be played but congrats on runner up in the district as well! Go lady pioneers!!

Yes, congrats to Coach Hart and the Lady Pioneers for finishing 2nd in the district when most people had counted them out! He has done a great job with getting this team together and making them a contender in a year that was supposed to be very uneventful in gc land! Great job to the ladies also for putting in the time and the hard work that has brought them a long way this season!! Keep it up cause the new season starts tuesday!! Very interesting district tournament and region tournament coming up. If im correct GC is now at least a 3 seed and possible 2 seed after their win vs. Dyersburg and awaiting the outcome of dburg-obion co friday and if gc beats crockett. Either way great win for the lady pioneers as they continue to show improvement! Keep it up ladies and keep it rolling in the tourneys!!!!!!!

The lady pioneers got back to winning after two tough double overtime losses vs. Obion co and northside. Lady pioneers defeated milan in a district game friday night 67-37 and handed trenton peabody a loss saturday night at trenton in the pink out game. Up next is a big district game at dyersburg tuesday night! Should be a good one! keep it goin ladies!

Congrats to the lady pioneers! Great game vs. Bradford lady devils in the gibson co. Christmas tournament. Another tournament championship for GC!!! Again congrats ladies!

The lady pioneers defeated south gibson, tuesday night by the score of 56-19. They now move on to face the ladies from bradford in the championship game thursday night at 7pm. Been a great tournament so far, crowd has been outstanding with some very good games. I think the action starts at 4 on thursday should be another night of good basketball.!

Did haywood really beat westview girls? if so, looks like there's 6 teams that can beat anyone at anytime this year in 13AA.
