How is it possible there is "zero" talent in a school that size? Weren't they pretty good in basketball a few years ago? There has to be something else that's wrong there.

Any further word from Celina? Why did the previous coach leave and wait this long to do so?

According to the coach's blog, it will be starting in 2012. I'm not sure what they had to do to get out of their schedule agreements. I would have expected 2013 as well.

Last year St. Andrew's Sewanee made the move, while Webb-Bell Buckle created an 8 man team. This year Riverside will be shifting to 8 man as well. Seems like a good move for them with a reported roster under 20. Who will be next? King's? MJCA? MTCS? Pickett Co? Seems to make sense for most of them as well.

It would make a lot of sense for them to pursue 8 man. It worked very well for St. Andrew's-Sewanee, and I think some other schools of similar stature will be making the switch as well after the next schedule rotation.

That would make sense. Its too bad, Harrison is a great teacher and coach, its a shame he was only given 2 years and almost no help. Unless they start providing some in-school assistants for football, things aren't going to improve regardless of hire. I'm curious what they'll do about spring practices, unless they already had a replacement lined up.

I've heard a Vernon Holtcamp is getting it, is that the same guy?

Anyone heard anything new? Webb's interest kind of surprises me.
