Yes, the high school is drawing their school population from 4 feeder schools. However, the junior football team is a unified program. The 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade are all separate and play their own schedules. Using Henry County is a bad example. They are the only high school in their county, whereas Obion County has Central, South Fulton, and Union City. Think about this....if all 3 schools were combined, it would have over 1500 students!

A good example of a running QB who transformed his game is Donovan McNabb. Was a runner until he figured out that getting lit up to many times resulted in a lot of pain. After this, he became a very good mobile QB who could sit in the pocket and when needed to could take off running.

If the Tennessean was right in their predicted regions based on a new classification, Obion County Central will be in the same boat. A good number of teams in the Tennessean's take would have the Rebels driving 2 1/2 to 3 hours to travel to Clarksville to play various teams.

Negative attitude from the staff? Really? You mean to say nothing positive was ever done? If this was the case, why did it seem that the players would do anything for "Coach X"? Wouldn't you think that if it was such a negative place that their numbers would have dwindled to the point that there was no team? And really, it was the entire staff that was this way? Wouldn't the administration gotten rid of them? Or did "Coach X" have so much power over everything that he told the administrators how to do their jobs? Well, the players that went are no longer children. They can't have their hand held and as young men made their decisions. "Coach X" and his staff did the work to get them there. It was up to them to do the rest. And for someone who is not part of the program, you seem to have a lot of "knowledge" or what apparently passes for it of the OC program. Just a thought..... Ahh yes, the rumors and gossip from Topix. So that was you then, or being a man of high character (which you must be in pointing out someone's supposed faults in the public square), you are just following someone elses lead. As I mentioned on the other thread, if you have issue with him, take it up with the coach. If those things were going on (and documented, not rumors which fly around about everyone), in this community he would be out on a rail.

He may not be 4.4, just a tad slower. However, it does say something to Covington's speed when they have an O-lineman who fields their punts and has returned at least one to the house.

Wow, you sure are on top of this one Truth. Considering its been mentioned several times already within this thread, you sure on it. Of course what's not mentioned in Mr. Wes Kennedy's and Coach Darren Bowling's explanations is that they don't really site any specific examples. And if there is anything about Mike Hutchens at Messenger, he would definitely mention it. So what we have here is a lot of baseless, not backed up speak (similar to what you post). Again, take your gossip column trash to website more suitable (like Topix) and stop polluting a good site like Coach T.

UCGrad: In your rant over Jackson, you brought up the two different helmets, the inflatable helmet w/smoke, the want for a turf field, and scoreboard with a screen. You complain that it costs money, yet you answered all this without realizing it. Its about the kids. Before you get your purple and gold panties in a wad, think........ How many high school players can say they get to where two different helmets for game time? How many high school players get to run out of something you used to see at only college or NFL? How many players can say they played on a field turf field, which used to be limited to college or NFL teams? Seriously? Who is this all for?

Wow Truth1, this has certainly turned in a vendetta bashing. Someone might think that you actually have something vested in this.......but I digress. What the thread has turned into is a glorified gossip column. Instead of football and the kids, lets all talk about the coaches. So Truth, since you apparently have the inside on the OC coaching staff, what else do us fans need to know about them? You have no problems bashing Coaches Jackson and Dowland. Who else?

It must have been more than a few days ago. Its been up since the UC game. Either you're not being very observant or as with the last part of your rant, you want to hammer on Coach Jackson. Just par for the course for you I guess.
