Good effort by the Tigers. With all things considered they exceeded my expectations. Especially on defense. I seen some better defensive play last nite than I've seen from them in a few years. Offence had some good drives, but they just couldn't close. But offence does take time to gel. The team never seemed to be overly emotional. Even when the jackets broke out and scored in their first possession. I was afraid they would just lay down. If they stay the coarse and keep working hard we could see them grow into a solid team.

Thanks for the report. That's kinda what I thought when I watched them practice. Wasn't really sure how they would do in the trenches though. I know they are a young team and this is going to be a rebuilding year. The only expectations I have for the season is hard work and progression.

Any thoughts on how they are looking? I didn't get to go.

TC does play G'vill. TC beat them 34 to 20 this year. TC is also 2a. TC's regular season schedule I feel for the most part is soft, but the amazing thing is when they hit the play offs they're ready. That's because they do what they do and they do it very well. Not allot of flash and fancy. They just execute very well. Very disciplined team that knows what's expected of them every down. If you look across the state at other successful programs you will see that same formula no matter the size of the school.

I thought he mixed it up pretty well. Passed more when we were behind of coarse. But that's a good liberty team. We could have played better n some areas n the score may have looked better. We had 3 turn overs. But I don't think we would have won

Macon county to Liberty tech is 183 miles, 3 hrs and 9 mins.

We're a power wing t, but we can still throw the ball pretty well. Thousand yard passer n pretty good wide outs. Defense has been a struggle, but showed much improvement the last couple of games.

If this true,then you,re going to have a long nite. Not sure what happened against LA, but Dekalb can sure move the ball well. They have a nice balance offense. With the passing game being a little better than the running game. But they mix it up nicely.

Macons looks to be gaining momentum. Liberty also has been getting hotter week by week, just like you expect a good team to do. This game has the makings to be a good one. Macon needs to play a complete game. That's something I don't think we've seen yet.. Complete game on both sides of the ball Macon wins. One sided one way or the other and Liberty will take it to the second round. Hope to see a good crowd from Macon.

Yea I'm drinkin it. He takes over a team with a 20 something game losing streak the first year and takes them to the playoffs. And are in the hunt this year. Lost a couple of squekers this year or we would already be locked in. You better believe i'm drinkin it. So what have you done since your coach came back. Don't really know anything about Harpeth, But Sycamore played the best defense MC has seen all year. Pretty disciplened and very physical. They are a hard bunch to score on.

I totally agree. 3 factors that I think give MC an edge. Schedule, they are use to seeing good teams. DC's probably not going to do anything they haven't already seen. But can they stop it ? Home field advantage. Always better when you don't have to take the cheese wagon on an hour drive before the game. Home coming. Home coming has a way of bringing out the fire. They could use a good dose of that anyway. However this should be a fun one to watch. Score keeper better get a good nites sleep.

Hey Termite those are not leader boards thats teams win loss record. Leader boards are individual statistics for that position. Thats what was being talked about. QB position. And Swanson you must be a coach. And if not, why? Since you seem to have it already figured out and know what the problem is. Let me guess you know more about coaching football than Pemberton or any high school coach for that matter. So you would build a team around 1 player and change that system when he leaves. Yea, thats how you build a program. qpop, I was replying to a post that was talking about the QB position in this area. Thats why its relevant.

Grace surpassed 1000 yards in the game against GB with 4 games to go.That stat hasn't been updated yet on the leader boards, so some spots should shuffle a little. Not bad from an offense built for the run. Just Checked the leader boards. Grace moved up to 24th. G'villes moved to 59th. SCs didn't move.

Murphy Fair has them in this order on the statewide leader boards. MC Dallas Grace 34th, G'ville Payton Watson 58th, and SC Gage Scurloc 77th. LA and Dekalb didnt make the list. It only goes to top 78 in the state. Ratings are based on QB stats.

Hard to say. MC hasn't looked themselves the past couple of games. GB seems to be getting better. If MC heeds to the wake up call they got in SC, they will be a hand full. If they continue to play with no fire and passion it will be a good nite for GB.

GPs QB is no joke. The kids arm is just as impressive as his legs. It will be very difficult keeping GP from scoring. They are going to put up some numbers.WH can win this game, but you will have to throw the ball when you need to keep a drive alive. And play some very smart D. Containing the QB will be a challenge. Best way to do it is control the clock and keep him off the field. Should be a great game. Good luck to both teams.
