  1. You lost by 43. If that's luck and York is unimpressive, Hampton must be one of the worst teams in Tennessee. Doesn't say much for your team.
  2. When will the HamptonGirl pop in with excuses on why they lost by almost 50 points? Losing a single player doesn't make up for that kind of blowout.
  3. Maybe Coalfield and Cloudland aren't that bad after all. Of course the always overconfident South Pitt fans make it hard to tell every year.
  4. Yeah I know, that's why I found his 10 point prediction so funny. If Coalfield has been hiding their field goal kicker all year, the state championship is an interesting time to bring it out for the masses to see.
  5. So Coalfield gets a touchdown and a 2 point conversion and then a safety? Because I don't see them kicking a field goal.
  6. SUNBRIGHT STOMPIN A MUDHOLE IN UNDEFEATED MIDWAY, THAT'S A "SHOCKER"
  7. Go get 5-0 Oakdale!! Great chance to do so this week! I'm sure Oakdale is building confidence right now that they may have never seen in that part of Morgan County and I bet it'll motivate them to continue exceeding everyone's expectations. Good luck Eagles!
  8. Haha I was wondering the same! How awesome is that?! Oakdale leading the pack in Morgan County this season . It seems like they've had good teams the last few seasons but only having 14 or 15 players has killed them in the second half of games. I wonder if they had ever beaten Oliver Springs before tonight?! Great job Eagles!
  9. Good job Coalfield! Keep it going, all the way to Cookeville! Make it happen guys!
  10. I'd like to hear this story as well...
  11. Tigers up 14-0 in First Quarter. 62 points still well within grasp
  12. Sunbright scores first less than a minute in. Just 56 points away from my 62 point prediction! 6-0
  13. Sunbright in a high-scoring shootout! Sunbright- 62 Greenback- 34
  14. Sounds like it took Coalfield most of the season to wake up and play to their potential. Good effort down there at their house for a 1A school. I knew when they got blown out by Knox Catholic they didn't play to their potential, but tonight it sounds like they fought hard and played well. Hopefully they'll keep the momentum up come playoff time.
  15. Sunbright wins this one by 29. 57-28 And Sunbright always beats Oliver Springs so I don't know how that translates to OS overlooking them. Sunbright is just a beastly team and this is another good year for them
  16. I agree. I think Coalfield will win quite easily, I just like picking Sunbright for fun
  17. How did Zach Stewart look last week? I'm going with Sunbright- 49 Coalfield- 47
  18. Please continue with updates jacket34! I wasn't able to make it out, unfortunately . Is Bible playing this week?
  19. Can we appreciate this awesome game? The #1 1a team vs. what looks to be an improved Knox Catholic team who's ranked in the top 10 of 4a playing in little old Coalfield tomorrow night. I doubt Catholic is overlooking Coalfield at all and hopefully both teams are prepared and the game is a good battle and not a blowout either way
  20. Well I trust your opinion as a Harriman expert so for that I will lower my prediction some. Sunbright- 49 Harriman- 42
  21. I will be surprised if Catholic loses...I think they'll be a very good team this year. Not to mention they have a lot more depth. I really hope Coalfield can pull the upset though. Would be nice to see a few more Catholic fans posting their thoughts in this thread
  22. I think Coalfield will probably have trouble defending the passing game of Catholic because they're not really used to having to cover many good passing teams in 1A. Hopefully I'm wrong, though. Any idea if or how many UT coaches will be at the game? I know the Vols play the next evening but Butch Jones and two of the assistants were at the Catholic game last week and I know Catholics QB is I think the D Coordinator's son and a DB is the DB Coaches son. I think Butch Jones son plays for Catholic as well. So it's very possible they would be there I'd think besides possibly coming to see how the UT Commit Zach Stewart does against much better than usual competition. So does anyone know anything or want to speculate? I think it'd be cool to have some UT coaches out to watch a game in Coalfield!
  23. Sunbright continues their offensive domination Sunbright- 72 Harriman- 34
  24. Biggest game of the year for Coalfield (also plays Notre Dame later in the season who Knox Catholic beat last night) and one of the biggest in school history. The much smaller Coalfield school takes on what figures to be a very good and much larger Knoxville Catholic squad. I know Knoxville Catholic has a few UT coaches son's as starters including their quarterback and are using a spread offense this year. Does Coalfield have a chance? I think Coalfield can hang early but the lack of depth will catch up later. Either way it's impressive for Coalfield to schedule a tough slate of out of region games. I'm sure it'll be packed in Coalfield Friday night. Catholic has 23 seniors which probably isn't far off from the number of players Coalfield has total. However, both teams have several potential D1 prospects including Jr. UT Commitment Zach Stewart of Coalfield. Week 0 results: Coalfield- 54 Copper Basin- 0 Knoxville Catholic- 22 Notre Dame- 13 Predictions?
