  1. I think the other region will be: 1. Summit 2. Page 3. Columbia 4. Shelbyville My best guess right now has Hillsboro traveling to Page.
  2. Hillsboro proved that they can play with anyone in 5A with this game tonight. I expected that would be the case throughout this entire season, but now the players know it too. I don't know what will happen next week against Centennial, but I do know that Hillsboro will be a TOUGH out in the playoffs.
  3. Don't know about tonight, but the refs weren't the reason why WB lost to Maryville in 2007. Three dropped interceptions were more of a culprit. Plus, if you kick it down the middle, this conversation never happens.
  4. Here's a link to the video. https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2017/9/29/16388664/high-school-football-power-bomb
  5. I know for a FACT that some coaches read and post on CoachT every day. But that doesn't mean they use it for any scouting
  6. I appreciate you saying that, because I completely agree. The thing that hurts the most about the playoff run was the missed opportunity. One of the things that will stick with me forever from the Maryville game that year (among a lot of things) was in the post-game handshake line, when the Maryville players were congratulating us on a well-played game and encouraging us by saying "kick butt the rest of the way and we'll see you in Murfreesboro." It's still painful that we didn't live up to our end of the bargain, but I am happy that you guys got the job done.
  7. Not really a claim to fame. It was a big game with a lot of hype that lived up to the expectations and then some. For those of us who got to experience that as a player, it was an experience that we'll never forget.
  8. Fun fact: today (September 28) marks the 10th anniversary of the biggest game ever played at WBHS.
  9. They're good teams, and that attracts people that complain about them?
  10. I truly hate this for the kid and for Blackman, What a tough blow. Oakland's path to Thanksgiving got a whole lot easier, and it's sad for it to happen this way.
  11. I'm not sure about how good Catholic is or isn't, but I do think BA is solidly the best team in TN. For what it's worth, I still think Catholic easily wins 5A this season.
  12. Next Friday is a big game in Region 6-5A. Hillsboro travels to Shackle Island to take on the #1 team in 5A. Beech rolled over Springfield yesterday and Hillsboro barely held on to beat CPA. The Bucs looked to have things figured out this year and are a pretty solid team. Who do you like and why?
  13. This is one I wish that I could attend. Coach Bradley's bunch is getting better by the week and Greenback is LOADED this year. If you made me pick, I'd go with Greenback...but never count out a Rusty Bradley coached team.
  14. Rutherford County might not have "open enrollment," but kids certainly don't always play where they're "supposed" to play. I wouldn't say they'd be a Top-10 team nationally even if they completely removed the borders, though.
  15. It will be tough for Fulton to hang with Maryville for 4 quarters and pull out a win. More than anything, this game will be interesting because it might give us a preview of how Fulton stacks up to Catholic and the rest of 5A.
  16. Hope the shutout streak continues. This is actually a pretty cool thing. Does anyone know the TN record for consecutive shutouts to start the year?
  17. Anytime! I hope you see a good one tonight
  18. The '06 and '08 games were on the road. The '06 game was quite the heated affair and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth
  19. I never want to wish away the season, especially for the players. I love football so much and it goes by so quickly. We went 1-9 my senior year but I'd love the chance to do those all over again, even if the results didn't change one bit.
  20. I hope it's close. My fondest memory of Ooltewah was the 2007 game at WB. It was actually this week of the season, 10 years ago
  21. Oakland will win this one by about 17, if I had to guess. Will gladly eat crow if I'm incorrect, though. 2017 is the year for Blackman to represent the Boro in the Semi's...next year is Oakland's year.
  22. WB has been in danger of going 0-10 before. One time, in the middle of an inspirational speech by a coach about how close we were to going winless, one of our stars interrupted the message at an inopportune time and said "Well, thank God for Heritage." The comment was perfectly timed and everyone had a much needed laugh at the end of a tough season. I don't say this to make light of the Mountaineers at all, but this week just reminded me of that memory for some reason and made me laugh. Hopefully the tables haven't turned too much since then. I'd love to see WB get the bell back.
  23. Look at like Beech and Gallatin will battle for the Region 6 title and Hillsboro will be 3rd
