  1. I always enjoy reading the team previews on tricitiessports.com, they have the best NET coverage by far.
  2. Awesome!! Congratulations, that is quite an accomplishment.
  3. Yes, Malcolm was there when my son was also. Malcolm is a great kid and is very talented. Navy had several TN kids sign that year. I remember 3 from the same highschool (Blackman maybe?) and they all left before the year was over and I know Malcolm and the Pittman kid have done well. The experience was not all bad, I just feel that the Naval Academy could do a better job with NAPS.
  4. That's awesome, tell your son thank you for his service. My son is really liking it and seems to be thriving there. He is just finishing up his first round of TEE'S.
  5. You are correct, neither way is an easy route. My youngest is a Plebe at West Point this year (direct admission and not playing football) and my oldest was a USNA prep schooler (football recruit) who decided that route was not for him as did several members of the football team that year so I've seen both sides of the fence. It's not easy but the USNA prep school instructors seemed to carry a grudge against athletes (which makes up a large portion of the prep schooler population). Maybe we just had a bad experience. Either way the service academies are a great education and I applaud this young man for his willingness to serve our country. Good Luck at Navy!!
  6. I don't know this young man but I hope for his sake he can go straight to USNA and not the prep school route. My son was a recent attendee at the USNA prep school (also a football signee) and it was not a good experience. I'm not sure why USNA doesn't have the prep school close or on campus like West Point does but the atmosphere in Newport RI is sub par in relation to the Naval Academy. The football coaches are way below standard and the instructors there are more determined to "weed" kids out then to help them excel. I love the USNA coaches (Coach Niamat and Coach Ingram are great recruiters) but the USNA Prep School is a huge let down.
  7. I'm sorry but I don't think Springfield would even make the playoffs if they were in our conference. I know Greeneville is good but this is ugly. Congrats Greeneville!!!
  8. Two straight losing seasons and the promise of the new Sullivan County high school have thinned the herd. South will put up a fight but won't have the athletes to compete tomorrow night. The QB is a great athlete and the defensive front isn't bad. 56 - 20 is my prediction.
  9. Unfortunately for Central, Greeneville wouldn't have a problem getting to 70 or more. South's starting QB and many other starters only played 2 possessions against the Cougars and we still scored 50.
  10. That is a good possibility, I know GreenEville is the best team around this year and should have a clear path to the title. I was just reminding your fans that it wasn't that long ago that you lost to some "Clowns".
  11. South has been down the last couple of years (last year mainly due to the season ending injuries of something like 9 starters by the time we played the big Greene), but don't forget those "Sullivan County Clowns" sent you guys packin just 3 short years ago.
  12. Agreed 100%, it's comical. I refuse to listen to a DB game on the home station.
  13. I believe the parking behind the visitor stands is handicap only parking so if the person you bring has one of the handicap placards you should be good to park there.
  14. I think South will be very similar to last year, they will be better in some areas due to a lot of underclassmen getting a lot of experience last season but I don't see them getting to .500. If the QB can stay healthy that will definitely help but given the track record of the past 2 seasons and the lack of depth and talent in the backfield with him I'm afraid he will stay beat-up. Especially if the play calling doesn't change.
  15. I wasn't trying to insult SH, I know they have talent and the point I was trying to make was that for the talent at Crockett, Bosken has done a great job of finding those kids that want to play at the next level a place to do that.
