  1. I feel this game will determine the possible state champion. Whoever comes out with the w can no doubt take it all. To close to call but I feel HC can make it happen.
  2. Millington has a very good team. Their size was impressive. HC was able to hold them to only 10 yards rushing. For the last 3 games our opponents have totalled -37 rushing yards. What about the big tackle of 47? That was a hit. Great game Millington, no disrespect here.
  3. IT'S GAMEDAY! Looking forward to a great game tonight. It's going to be a cold game (except for the Millington side which should plan for the mid 80's). Temps will be in the 20's, the crowd will be electric, and the Big Red will roll. I still believe 23-10 Henry County. GO BIG RED!
  4. Hope it's not like the Munford "10" busses where all it did was fill up the parking lot.
  5. I agree completely. Something has clicked with the D and they are vicious. They certainly smell blood and this has really electrified the fans. Last Friday night was a completely different game from what we saw in the regular season. Go Big Red!
  6. I watched highlights from both teams from last Friday night and I believe HC will be able to pull this one out. I am going 23 - 10 HC.
  7. I agree! SHHHHHH!!! No one needs to be worried about HC til Cookeville.
  8. It appears that a team that doesn't really expect to make it out of the second round would complain about being in a bracket that may cause them to have to play tougher teams and possibly travel over an hour. Personally I can not wait for HC to make another 3 hour trip to Cookeville, but I realize, from experience, that trip is more special when each week of the playoffs you anticipate playing the best of the best wherever that needs to be.
  9. It's GAMEDAY! And let's watch HC end the regular season with a bang. I believe our starters will have their first shutout of the year but because of the early play of second teams I will go 49-10 HC.
  10. I agree, but with HC having to go on the road last year for the semifinals after being undefeated, this scenario would be fitting for the possible 2014 state champ to host the semifinal game.
  11. Sounds like the conversations on this thread have taken a turn for the crapper. Wish this wasn't the last year of playing. It has definitely been entertaining this week.
  12. Thanks for the information and that makes me even more nervous about the game. You are probably right then that it will not be more than a TD difference.
  13. I am not trying to be disrespectful but I am ignorant about Springfield. Their record, momentum, and reputation as a good football team cannot be overlooked. However, for a 6-0 to let an offense like Northwest to put that many points on the board shows a weakness. If HC can capitalize on that, they will put the points on the board. HC has the weakness of big plays and if Springfield can capitalize on that the score will be in their favor.
  14. I did not know Northwest scored 22 on Springfield. With that in mind I will go with HC 56 - Springfield 21.
  15. If Liberty, Ridgeway, and Rossville could not put 30+ points on the board, I find it very difficult to believe Springfield could accomplish that task. It is possible but unlikely. HC has a stout D line and arguably the best LB in the state. I am nervous about this game but also confident in how HC has been playing.
  16. Just as we have seen these games go very similar as last year with the exception of the offense not putting up the numbers I expect the score to be HC 28 - Kenwood 7.
  17. One thing I see about this year's HC team that is different from last year's is momentum. Last year we were impressed right out of the gate. This year HC is showing steady improvements each week and I believe can be a very strong force come playoffs. This week with Rossville will show the true character of this team.
  18. I would say Henry County had a tough schedule last year as the regular season had them playing 3 teams who went to the playoffs. One being Ridgeway and one a semi-final game against Clarksville Northeast and saw HC go undefeated. No pushover schedule. I will say Friday night is going to be one of the best games that both HC and Ridgeway will play this regular season.
  19. There was not a lot of input from Northwest on this thread this week but I heard they were feeling confident coming to Hc. After their performance, does anyone know if this is an indication of a week 10AAA conference or was NW an exception? It seemed from the first play they were overwhelmed by the Patriots. There is some on NW that showed some talent but nothing clicked for rhem.
  20. I believe this will be a week for HC to have issues ironed out and being able to play a complete disciplined game, which would be great leading into Ridgeway. Defense will once again dominate. HC 45 - NW 10.
  21. I am going out on a limb this week but I believe with the eye opener HC had last week and the hard work put in that this week will not be a contest. I am going HC 35-Beech 14.
  22. I see 2 concerns for HC, the O line and special teams. Beech certainly will not come with another back to run 400+ yards and the D is stout this year. If the O line can make the necessary adjustments it should not be a contest, but if we resemble last week I believe we will be congratulating Beech on a tough fought W. It could go either way.
