Unfortunately it’s becoming the norm and it’s not gonna get better, they are struggling to get new officials in every sport. In this specific instance at Portland the other night it was 5a school vs 1a I know the assigner saw that and sent the D squad more than likely which is fine because I’m sure there were more meaningful games in the area. What’s not cool is ingratiating themselves into the games decision which I’m not saying they did it on purpose, but it still happened due to incompetence. Im done ranting now. 😂

Because his helmet got knocked off by a DB…..that play? I agree it was easier to see from the stands, but still they knocked his helmet off that’s an illegal contact call missed before that’s why they didn’t call it they missed it so badly they couldn’t call illegal participation at that point….thanks for making my points 😂 they were pretty bad crew top to bottom.

The early blatant missed P.I. Where they tackled the receiver set the tone for the entire game after that the refs just continued to get worse. They called a horse collar tackle on CC on 3rd down on the sidelines and that was not even close to being the right call, should have been 4th and long. Last drive of the game they call a hold on a pass play after the ball is 20yards downfield away from the lineman at that point derails the momentum when Clay was in the red zone again very questionable call in that situation. I believe, actually no I know they gave us a P.I. call at the very end because it was a makeup call and he knew it should have never gotten to that point on the last drive. Another thing whenever you can see it watch how quick they reset the play clock, As soon as the ball hits the ground on pass plays they were resetting it. The new ball wasn’t even on the field, the ref never once addressed it. Idk who the White Hat was but his crew had a rough night. Looked like they were scared to throw a flag, hence why I said inexperienced first. They are only human, but they weren’t even looking in the right place on the field half the time or they would have easily seen some of these calls.

Just inexperienced refs seemed like to me, missed a bunch of calls, tons of no calls when they were blatantly obvious , there were even a couple times the White Hat didn’t know what to do with the ball or the clock. It was very sloppy you can go back and watch the game on Dale Hollow Horizon Facebook page and watch for yourself. Then you’ll understand better.

Clay is going to have to stay under the radar this year, especially after that debacle in Portland the other night. I hope we never play another football game in Sumner County it was tough to watch those refs not know what was going on….they couldn’t even spot the ball properly. Back on topic though I honestly believe it could very well end up being any combo of Them, Gordy, CF, Whitwell, CP, and or SP in the East it’s wide open, UC or McKenzie one of those 2 teams is coming from the West.

Portland should have gotten beat last week by a decent 1a school ! They just aren’t very good to have over 100 players, we played 14 or 15 kids the entire game . If Springfield has any passing game at all this one will be ugly especially if you get a ref crew that knows what P.I. and defensive holding looks like, those refs last week had a rough night, they are only human, but it was hard to watch at times. The panthers secondary struggled last week so they just started tackling and holding receivers, their secondary and passing game are their weaknesses. They will run it 95% of the time so if you stop the run early their body language will change and you will see them getting discouraged.

🤯 just and outsiders take, but maybe some of these players should be studying game film instead of being on coachT arguing with the men. Guys who in all reality are and have always supported them by cheering for them from the fence and keeping up a spirited debate on their behalf good or bad. Good luck going forward sounds like the defense played alright at least.

Close prediction 😂 I’m still contemplating how they took ER to the wire after watching them last night. They may have had less than 50 yards the entire second half, granted the clock was running the entire half . Looking back at the ER game basically the same players were out there last night from what I could tell maybe missed one or two in the secondary because they were playing 10 yards off the LOS. After Clay stopped the run they struggled to pass and stop the pass, hard to believe ER didn’t throw it all over them.
