You mean back before Friendship Christian was a football powerhouse and Wilson Central was even built?

I'm thinking Trousdale vs Marion County as well. But they better not sleep on this Whitwell team they have some wins on paper that are on par with with Trousdale done against similar competition.

I know several kids that graduated from last year's team and they told me at the end of last year that they would be lucky to win a game this year. They said that they just didn't have kids with talent that cared in the right positions. Harp won 7 championships at a smaller school where he got to work with the coaches and players Jr. High all the way through High School. That isn't the case in Lebanon. You got what 3 different middle school teams running completely different systems feeding into Lebanon. I wouldn't count on it anytime soon the kids in middle school right now have that same mindset. The first time somebody scores a touchdown they lay down and quit. Not so much Walter J. Baird but for sure the other schools. Didn't they get a brand new weight room last summer? I know the middle schools got weight rooms that at least I was told were part of a partnership with the football program at Lebanon High School.

I can't see us going all the way this year. You got a handful of teams that are gonna finish 9-1 with wins over some good teams from outside of 2A. Some examples Marion County, Hampton, Oneida etc.

The coach at Red Boiling Springs anybody else would be a robbery. From 1986 to 2008 that program went 18-202. They had losing streaks of 63 and 61 games. 6 consecutive seasons of going 0-10. They are gonna end up 6-4 and in the playoffs for the first time maybe in team history (not sure on that one).

Trousdale wins 35-14 to finish 7-3 with a little momentum going into the playoffs. Red Boiling Springs finishes 6-4 and gets into the playoffs for the first time that I can remember (+25 years). heckuva coaching job they are doing up there. Good luck in the playoffs.

Not when the best football players are plucked from junior high by Friendship Christian.... Alot of football talent at Friendship that should be playing at Lebanon.

Who have you heard? How was he run off in Danville? From everything I read the Superintendent and the players were all shocked when he announced he was leaving to come to Lebanon...

That looks pretty good IMO. These schools could then schedule whomever they want for the rest of their slate.

So pretty much a money grab to get these big schools that otherwise wouldn't sniff the playoffs some extra games.

2 things Almost everybody they have played pulled their starters out at halftime LMAO .... They have allowed +48 points in 6 of their 8 games. They didn't have Taye Davis against Gallatin. He has been about 60% of their offense this season. They were losing to Hendersonville 41-0 with like 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. They were losing to Cookeville 62-6 at Halftime.... Station Camp but up 62 points on Lebanon Mt. Juliet put up 56 points on Lebanon Lebanon is a 0-10 football team that will have lost by an average of +50 points a game.

Unless Gallatin had most their starters out I can't see how they are even now when it was 41-3 a month ago.... I'm 99.9% that Beech is the better team. But Mt. Juliet and Gallatin are very close. That should be a interesting game.

The kids at Lebanon told me that Gallatin is a little better defensively but Mt. Juliet is alot better offensively. We will see next week I suppose.

It isn't gonna change anytime soon for Lebanon. They are most likely gonna be getting a new coaching staff after this season. So they are gonna have to start over there.... And the best kids the last couple years from middle school in the area are mostly playing at Friendship Christian. So not a great deal of improvement in the next couple years in terms of talent.

They are sitting at 3-4 and those 3 wins are against Antioch (1-6), Lebanon (0-8) and Wilson Central (3-5). The score is kinda surprising. Considering that they beat Wilson Central pretty easy and then stayed pretty close with Mt. Juliet and Beech which IMO are better football teams than Gallatin.

Hendersonville has done that to everybody this year.... They beat you guys by 25 They beat Wilson Central by 38 They beat Hunters Lane by 51 They beat Lebanon by 42 (after calling off the dogs in the 2nd quarter) They beat Gallatin by 42 They beat Portland by 40 etc. etc.

I don't know the last time they went 0-10 but don't act like this is a brand new low.... Assuming they go 0-10 (which they will with WC and Beech remaining) that will but them at 5-35 for the last 4 years. Which pretty much averages out to 1 win per season. They only won 1 game in 2012 and Hendersonville (I believe thats correct) pretty much gave that one away.

What are you asking? Who is the best program right now, the last 5 years, the last 10 years the last 50 years.... There has to be more context. Right now. Its Friendship Christian without a doubt. A program can only do with what its given in its given conference. Its dumb to compare Friendship to teams in a division where they can't even play. In their division they have won state championships. They have won big games out of their division against same size powerhouses. And they have sent kids on to college for major programs. I don't see kids scrambling to go play for Wilson Central or Lebanon. Parents and kids are making sacrifices to send their kids to play at Friendship. If you want to say the last 10 years then Mt. Juliet comes into the conversation.
