I would rather play in a class with a lot more school than a class with less schools but twice as many students.

Does anyone know if they are going to make 4 classes with equal number of teams in each class or if they are just going to set enrollment numbers puts you in this class, regardless of how many teams may fall in one class. Kinda like the D2 schools 14 in big class and a bunch in small class Division 2 46 basketball teams in small division 10 in the big SOmehow there is 3 classes in division 2 football .

I was wondering why they were pressing in the last minute with a running clock, also called a timeout so they could get another possession. They were still alive with another game to play. Good for her

smaller schools, what about small big schools, like a school with an enrollment of 1300 playing against a school with 2300?

Had a wise man once tell me that if a team in college gives up 50 points, it is tough to say they deserve to be ranked, now times have changed and offenses score more, however, Dyer county has given up over 40 points 2 times this year, 48 against Henry County, Henry County's 2nd highest scoring game, they have not lit up the scoreboard this season however they did against Dyer county, call it a bad match up or what ever you want, but giving up 48 points to a team that is averaging 30 points a game in their other 10, is not a sign of a great defense.

SO Dyer county is 2-2 against teams over .500, It is hard for me to believe that they would be a double digit favorite, anything can happen on Friday night though. Good luck to Dyer County

Season approaching, who is who this season, will there be a change in the outcome? Rossview has got to be the team to beat with Northwest coming on strong. Henry County and Clarksville high will be solid. Springfield and Norhteast should be improved. Kenwood with coach Clark in his second year could be improved. West Creek and Montgomery Central should be better as well. My predictions, 1. Rossview 2. Henry County 3. Northwest 4. Clarksville High 5. Northeast 6. SPringfield 7. Kenwood 8. Montgomery Central 9. West Creek

Looking forward to a game tonight between 2 very good football programs and teams. Games like last week are tough to watch. I thought with the post of WIngtO8, maybe Dyer was going to be competitive. Sources tell me no one is giving them a shot. Predictions of 50-0 are being murmured on these CoachT streets and the locker rooms of both HC and DC. Be wary of these Choctaws bc they are not like the ones of old. They have been busting it during their offseason program and it has shown. Patriot fans are going to have nightmares of this game that is going to resemble Tennessee/Georgia State. Unfortunately for the Choctaws, they were exactly like the ones of old. Some people do not understand the discrepancy of good and bad programs. False illusions are brought on by beating bad teams. Dyer county has played their only state contender this year in Henry County, however, Henry county has played 2 already and a 3rd tonight, with Germantown still on the schedule. Both Henry County and Dyer county have been battle tested, Henry County competes and Dyer county had a running clock put on them.

Stewart county, or Stewarts Creek?

Agreed that Rossview is the best team to this point in the district. However, the for a while now puzzles me, HC has beaten Rossview 4 of the last 6 meetings.

After the first half and a couple more games, 1. Rossview is the top team, undefeated in district play 2. Henry County Potential is there, will they find a way to finish 3. Northwest, young and athletic, a dangerous team in the toutrnament 4. Springfield, playing well, struggling to score. 5. Clarksville, cant seem to find an identity 6. Northeast young and athletic, could surprise some folks down the stretch 7. Kenwood, fundamentally struggling 8. West Creek, athletic but struggle to score and take care of the ball 9. Montgomery Central nowhere to go but up Predictions?

I asked you earlier, easily? You assured me, EASILY. Beating WESTVIEW is never easy or can be taken for granted.

Who knows who wins this game, it has been suggested that the Patriots have only played one tough non district game, We did beat Beech. Yanker, you are definitely a Yanker, but not so fast my friend, your scores although accurate the last few weeks may be a little off this week, I hope not but this game will be tougher than your prediction.

Easily? Beating Westview is not an easy task, THe Crockett County girls are a fun group to watch.

who is the best team that Northeast has played? I have my opinion and would say Clarksville high. Clarksville high is like the 4 or 5th best team that Henry County has played, If my memory serves me correctly, we were beating them 42-0 at the half. Northeast struggled with them, people are suggesting that NE wins by 14, interesting, and one HC poster has picked NE to win by 7, as unbiased as his prediction was, I must give my biased and educated guess that HC wins this game, they are simply better and would win 4 out of 5 times. My prediction is only accurate if Henry Cunty doesn't turn the ball over and eliminate penalties. LOL

What brings you to that prediction? Are some of the teams in the middle of the pack or are the top 3 falling off?

Does anything change in District 10AAA this year, Rossview, CLarksville and Henry County have been the only real challengers for the district over the last 4 years. 3 schools have new coaches, how does it shake out this year. Any word on any of the schools and what they did over the summer. My picks this year 1. Rossview Rippy should have a strong season 2. Henry County Lost point guard and leading scorer 3. Clarksville Lost their horse 4. Springfield (will they continue to climb closer) 5. Norhteast (very good young talent) 6. Northwest (new coach) 7. Kenwood (new coach, lost their 2 best players) 8. Mont Central (new coach, lost several seniors) 9. West Creek (new coach, lost their best player and scorer)

So is Porsche the head coach at Humboldt?

There is no perfect scenario, I grew up in KY so I kind of like the 1 class scenario, however, I look at say Riverdale and by their numbers, they have enough students for a 3A team and a 2A team. Generally speaking in 3A, the biggest schools represent in the state tourney, When there is 750-1000 student difference, why even classify? If the TSSAA thinks teams should be more evenly matched as in football, then why not other sports. The private schools having 2 classes is a joke, There are like 14 schools playing for a state title in basketball, that is not even as big as some of the regions in public school.

Region 5AAA is a toss up at this point, Beech, Mt Juliet, Lebanon, Wilson Central, Clarksville, Rossview or Henry County Region 6 AAA Franklin, Dickson County, Cane Ridge would be the frontrunners with Brentwood capable of sneaking in. 7AAA Dyer county and Arlington are the frontrunners

The consistency issue that bothers me is when one team is hand checking and the other team is too and only one team gets called for hand checking, Illegal screens are the same way, If I notice my refereeing partner just called a hand check on the Red team, then when the White team is hand checking, I shouldn't ignore.

Arlington is 2-2 versus this list. WIns over Oak ridge and Memphis Central, losses to Riverdale and Bradley Central. Oak Ridge is 0-2 against district 9, Wilson Central and Lebanon are in the middle of the pack in district 9, Oak Ridge may very well be there in the end, not sure they belong up top just yet.

I was at that game and although there were a handful of calls that could have gone the other way, most of the calls were the right call. I was at Dyer county last year in the same scenario and I would say that you were probably quite pleased with the calls there. I watched a very physical game from the Dyer county side and thought that the referees got tired of calling fouls and started letting a lot go. My opinion is biased and so is yours. The referees were probably the only ones in the gym that were not.
