No one is saying to to hate anyone or to feel guilty about being white. But to make broad, PAINFULLY ignorant umbrella statements that preach doom and gloom is not acceptable. I agree with you somewhat. I think that in Super 32 there is Oakland/Maryville Whitehaven Franklin/MJ I jut think that whoever comes out of that region 3 will be a good, solid, team. But no world-beaters. I think everyone is similar to the past few years but benefiting from Ravenwood falling off.

If I'm not mistaken...didn't Lavergne move down from 6A to 5A after Maryville elected to move up last year? I thought that was a story I remember hearing.

Yeah but I'm sure the computer algorithms don't factor in past success to determine these rankings. Even though having a level of bias and understanding of past relationships is what helps us as humans to make informed decisions, I really like having a fresh "unbiased" perspective on how each team has played up to this point. And the fact that Maryville is such a close second even with Oakland waxing every team that they've played this year shows that they are still a VERY good team.

So much drama! I love it. So a 3-3 Trezevant (or are they 3-4?) is going to be back on top of the polls...and deservedly so. I'm an old wrestling fan, so this just created the perfect heel character for everyone to hate. It's going to be a fun rest of the season...

Mt. Juliet is good. I think that man for man they should win the region. I have to wait and see on that one though. I think that loss to Ravenwood is going to look real bad as the season goes on. Simply because Ravenwood is at best 3rd best in that region and at worst 5th best.

I agree with you on some things. I get your defensiveness now. The people who are high fiving each other because their football team has a better chance at state are also at fault. I can't fault you for defending these kids. My parents worked with kids in inner city Atlanta for a lot of years and I know how different the challenges are for the kids in that setting. I just think that making the top priority (education) less important to make their lives "easier" in the short run hurts them in the long run.

My team is in 5A on the other side of the state. I came to here to catch up on the news about Trezevant that I saw on the main page, and I was thoroughly shocked at your immaturity. The fact that you can try to spin this to be somehow related to our jealousy of Trezevant on the field shows how awful your priorities are. I feel sorry for the kids. They have less than a 50% chance at graduating, they have grown adults who aren't doing what they can to help them prepare for success. And the schools English grade is 16%! And you think people are jealous of this! We are shocked that things could be this bad and that adults could be this incompetent and irresponsible. I see why you put your child in a private school.

So we shouldn't have a little fun and speculate? I think we all understand that there are multiple variable to the decision-making here. All of the captain obvious posters love to bring that up. Just relax and make a projection for fun.

As a midstate fan, I am looking forward to this. The three midstate regions would be very competitive and fun to watch week in and week out.
