  1. If spectators are allowed then yes. We'll figure out a place to meet closer to the finals.
  2. You're on, $100 says he doesn't win 285. That's a heavy wager.
  3. He's talking about Stadel, the 195 from Maryville Cummins beat 6-5 in the finals of the Maryville tourney at 220. I'll take your bet. How much would you like to wager. You name the price. You're overlooking a few good heavyweights. He's wrestling up a lot of weight and you're giving him a pass to win it all. So yeah, ill take your bet.
  4. Its still a bold pick saying the number 2 220 is bumping up 50 pounds and winning heavyweight considering the field at 285 is not weak at all this year.
  5. That's a bold prediction. Unranked heavyweight running through and winning it.
  6. Trackwrestling shows the brackets are built but still not being released. I wonder why?
  7. But again, he wrestled two matches all year going into the state tournament. I get that it’s a popularity contest but there’s a lot of other kids in that region who have broken out this year. Alton Ables, Landon Desselle, Mitchell Lambert, Ryan Smith just to name a few based off records alone.
  8. No disrespect but Calvin wrestles 2 matches going into the region tournament (according to trackwrestling). Then goes 1-2 at the region tournament and wins region 7 wrestler of the year? How did that voting work? The other is a no brainer. Coach Miller definitely was the right choice there.
  9. So your justification on why Belcher is going to tech Fort is because he had a harder bracket at state last year?
  10. Just so I can understand what you're saying here... at 138 you are saying that the number 3 ranked wrestler is going to TECH the number 2 ranked kid. And then the weight up you think the number one ranked kid is going to minor dec an unranked kid? I want whatever you're smoking.
  11. I'm picking the senior 3x state champ and division 1 commit over the sophomore who won state once. I'm still trying to follow your logic as to why he is p4p above Uhorchuk?
  12. So just to be clear, you put a sophomore and one time state champ as the pound for pound best wrestler in the state in A-AA over a senior 4x finalist and 3x state champ because he's ranked by TrackWrestling? If Uhorchuk bumped to 32 and wrestled Mason are you sure Mason would win convincingly?
  13. losing to Page and Brentwood isn't going to help their argument on getting up there. Beating Summit was a solid win though.
  14. sure you did snowflake. you have trumper written all over you. I bet you still fly your stupid trump flag on your truck today. smh
  15. here we go, another trumper mad that he lost. nothing is going to change. you guys all spew the same bs. convinced the dems are going to ruin the country and kill everybody when in reality nothing is going to change, our day to day will be the exact same.
  16. "Not getting into politics" and then makes a political statement. The world wont be different after January 20th. idiot.
  17. Oh shut up. Take your political #### to facebook. We're talking wrestling and wrestling only.
  18. As far as Job openings I do not know, but here is the basic rundown of TN wrestling. Chattanooga is the hotbed of TN wrestling. In AAA a Chattanooga team has been in the state traditional finals for something like the last 25 years. Being in close proximity to UTC and it being the only division 1 wrestling program in the south benefits them greatly. The best schools in that area are Cleveland and Bradley Central (AAA) and Baylor and McCallie (Div2) MidTN is on the way up. There are schools that are regularly in the mix for titles but just unable to overcome the hump that is Chattanooga. The best schools in that area are Wilson Central, Beech, Blackman and Oakland (AAA but just to the East of Nashville), Centennial, Independence and Summit (AAA MidTN) and Clarksville and Rossview (AAA but just to the northwest). Father Ryan and Montgomery Bell Academy (Div2) are run by the Simpson family and are the two top private schools in MidTN. East Tn, historically, has a couple teams that can challenge the top teams and are in the mix but don't generally challenge for the state titles. The top teams here are Science Hill, Dobyns Bennett and Knoxville Halls (AAA). No private schools to speak of here. Honorable mention goes to Pigeon Forge. Traditionally the "small school" (A-AA) powerhouse. Every year it seems there is an argument for them to do well in the "large school" (AAA) tournament, although we'll never actually find out. West TN, there are just a few teams that make noise most years. Arlington being the top AAA team. Christian Brothers is by far the best team out in the Memphis area. They travel well each year and are always in the mix for a state championship. Hamm does the state wide rankings. He takes a lot of crap each year but he's ok I guess. Here is a link to his website where he publishes them. http://www.pin-tn.com/
  19. Are you talking about Cleveland? Or did I just disprove that entire statement?
  20. They’re all at the state tournament today.
  21. It’s small school. Who cares?
  22. That's literally the definition of an upset. A lower ranked wrestler beats a higher ranked wrestler. By definition its an upset. Add in the fact that Calvin is a 2x runner up and Bradford hasn't medaled at all makes it even more so. Doesn't mater if you "knew" he was leaps and bounds better.
