If the staff at MJ had the talent year in and year out that PC has they would win title after title until they just got tired of winning. Then they would retire. And go do something else.

It says that CTP and staff can take the average and make them good, the good and make them great, as long as they are willing to give their best effort at all times. They don't have the luxury of recruiting, and just collecting talent like PC. MJ's staff wouldn't know the first thing about what it would be like to just out athlete everyone. That's coaching to Brunetti. CTP plays chess. Brunetti is a checkers guy. LOL

I know where you're going with this. And yes I do think MJ would fair much better than PC against Alcoa. Don't know if they would win, but coaching alone keeps it a tight ballgame that could go either way. PC not so much. Coaching is their glaring weakness, just ask Stratford. Let's not all forget we are only 8 months removed from that monumental collapse. The egg is still fresh on Brunetti's and his staffs face. LOL

In 2018 MJ was the only team that went blow for blow with the champ. In the end it was the only real challenge Oakland faced. Was at the game it was very evident how similar both teams looked. Only real advantage Oakland had over MJ was the kicker. And it was the difference in the game. Imo I gave Maryville the #2 spot for the victory against Oakland early in the season. I do think it's fair to say MJ earned the vote for #3 based on the finish in a "power ranking". Just my opinion. Go Bears!

Mt Juliet - lost to Oakland 14-7 in quarterfinals. May have the best defense in the state. Alot of guys coming back. 4.Whitehaven - 2018 State Runner Up 5. Farragut - Lost to Maryville in quarterfinals 26-10 6. Ravenwood - Lost to Whitehaven in semifinals 43-24, (only team in state with a 1st round bye) 7.Germantown - lost to Whitehaven 14-0 in the quarterfinals 8.Brentwood - lost to Ravenwood in quarterfinals 47-24. 9. Cane Ridge - lost to Ravenwood 43-36 in 2nd round. Graduating alot. 10. Blackman - lost to Mt. Juliet 35-14 in 2nd round. Graduating alot. Open zone will always have studs.

Proud of the Golden Bears this season. I think this surge started 2 years ago really. Say what you want about a weak schedule but from what I understand MJ is pretty healthy right now. Better to play a real 5 game season with healthy bodies, than limping into the playoffs. CTP and staff are doing an amazing job right now.
