  1. What he said, there doesn't need to be a thread for a Haywood game until maybe Covington week. We all know what Haywood is getting ready to do Friday. I'll take the Tomcats by 56!
  2. Halls is much improved this year, but not improved enough to get this victory! Peabody by a lot!
  3. Dresden by as much as they want, they are for real this year!
  4. Not if Ripley plays like they have the past 2 weeks!
  5. That is the question we all want answered and we will get that answer tonight. The thing about Ripley over the past few years is you never know what team is going to show up on Friday night, the team that looks like than can compete with anybody or the team that's average at best. They have a lot to prove tonight to show whether they are contender or pretender, we shall see what happens!
  6. In this region there is a clear cut top 3. Covington, Ripley, and Dyersburg will clearly be the top 3 seeds in this region. The Bolivar-Millington matchup will be the one to watch to see who can take that final playoff spot. I like Bolivar to pull that one out!
  7. Halls has been quite the surprise this year, this would be a big win for them. I like them in the upset by a TD!
  8. Dresden will run away with this one, the Lions look like they are the real deal this year!
  9. Halls has got a nice, athletic QB that can move, but I'll take Greenfield by a lot in this one!
  10. Haven't seen Northside yet this season, but I hear they are big like they were last year. If they are still big and still have the athletes like they normally do, I'll take Northside to pull this one out!
  11. Crockett County is back, they have definitely proved that over the past two weeks, but Haywood is a completely different animal! The Cavaliers will compete in this game, but Haywood just has more horses in the stable at the end of the day. Interested to see how the final score comes out, I'm going Haywood 35 Crockett Co 14.
  12. The kid Millington has at QB right now can move, but where is the kid from last year? Didn't think he was a senior. Regardless, not much to see here, Covington wins big a notches their first region win of the year!
  13. Not the same Peabody, not the same Westview, but Peabody has a little more left in the cupboard than Westview, especially when it comes to coaching. Peabody gets the WIN!
  14. Dyersburg and Dyer county are both struggling out of the gate, but maybe this game kicks starts the season for one of the two. I'm going to take Dyer County in this one. I believe the Choctaws will find a way to get it done, even if its not pretty!
  15. Is this UC team for real? That's the question I want answered this week. They put LC in their place, but not sure how much of a quality opponent they are this year. This game will definitely put UC to the test. No score prediction, but this should be a good one!
  16. Dresden, Dresden, Dresden...the Lions will take this match up by at least 3 scores! Can't see Greenfield keeping up!
  17. Ripley's defense has looked good over the past couple of weeks and their offense isn't flashy but they will wear on you. Crockett County is much improved, especially offensively. I think this will be a very good game this Thursday night, but I see Ripley as the more physical team of the two. I'll take Ripley to pull this one out by 2 scores or more!
  18. Everyone loves to talk about the skill players, but shout out to the offensive line of Munford. Those boys went to work last night and loved real impressive pushing around what is always a really good defense from Covington!
  19. For the first time in a little while, this should be a competitive ball game! Looking forward to it!
  20. The way I see it in Region 7, Covington is a lock in the 1 seed. Dyersburg is down, you never know what Ripley team is going to show up, and haven't heard much out of the Millington camp this offseason. If Bolivar can beat Bolton again this year and find a way to beat Millington this time, they definitely can get in the playoffs. But Dyersburg or Ripley would have to be WAY down in order for them to get to 3rd in the region. Neither has looked that great in the preseason, but I do not think they lose to Bolivar this season, but hey you never know, that's why they play the games!
  21. In my opinion, this game looks a lot better on paper than it will on the field. Dyersburg hasn't been tested much and the one team that did test them had their doors blown off by the Chargers. Glad there's a lot of hype behind this one, but Covington wins by 3 TDs!
  22. Dresden by as much as they want in this one, should be a fun homecoming night!
  23. Great start to the year by the West Carroll squad, but McKenzie rolls by a couple of scores this week!
  24. Union City pretty much handled the Ripley Tigers last season. New year and new teams, but should be a good game with UC going to Tiny Knee Stadium this year. If Ripley plays defense like they did against Covington and can run the football, they should be just fine, but consistency isn't the Tigers best characteristic. Expected a bigger score differential in the UC-GC game, so I don't quite know what to think. I'll take Ripley to take this one at home, 28-14.
