Thought the Mustangs were impressive in the scrimmage vs Westview. The Chargers defensive line gave our offensive line a few problems but they were a big and talented bunch. Westview on offense didn't come close to scoring. Our defense looked tough. They have a load of experience coming back and are in great shape. I thought the most impressive player on the field was #78 for the Mustangs. This big boy just completely caved in his side of Westview's offensive. He's a bulldozer!

We're just waiting for Mckenzie to finish theirs so we can build one a little nicer. Can't let them Rebs stay ahead of us for long!

Huntingdon's Mighty Mustangs travel to UTM Friday @ 7:00 to play the 2021 state champion Westview Chargers. Gonna be some hitting going on!

Think Huntingdon-Covington Aug 4th. Chargers and Mustangs usually go at it every preseason.

Union City is just pretending to be 1a. The pool of athletes they have to pick from is much greater than any other 1a school!

I like the Mustangs in this game. No disrespect to Mckenzie who I think are going to be very good. But this is the best looking Huntingdon team I've seen in some time. I'm very high on this group of kids. They're coming off a great summer conditioning wise. Evan our big guys have trimmed down. We're deep and fast team wise. The Rebels have a lot of kids starting their first game in a pressure packed environment that favors the more experienced Mustangs.

You take a poll of the dads and granddads I bet Milan would win big time over the Rebels!

Yes he's working at RB. Looks good, seems to be in great condition. Still seems to be favoring that knee a little but speed and quickness look good. Also Meals our other ACL running back injury is looking good. Lots of competition at RB.

Dog and Pony show is #1. Has been for 50 years!

True and the Mustang football culture is very strong now. I just think Swenson doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's an outstanding coach. He produces good teams year in and year out and is very good guy that his kids love!

Meadows is good. If coaching staff is so good why can't they beat Swenson!

I thought Lake Co looked good. QB threw the ball well and the wide outs and TE have some speed. QB little late on some throws. Overall thought the Falcons looked competitive.

Fillies have played Peabody twice this summer. Very quick bunch with good size and strength. Pressed us hard both games. Gonna give most teams a lot of trouble this season. Did you see the last game at the Bethel camp. Great very intense game.

Watched a few games at the Bethel camp today. South Gibson handed it to Mckenzie by about 28 points today. Catie got her girls playing very well. Cann really shoot the ball. Almost didn't recognize Savannah Davis. She's lost a lot of weight. She's still a great skinny player. Saw my Fillies beat Creekwood and Trenton pretty handily this afternoon. I take back all the bad things I said about the Fillies last week. We handled intense pressure that Trenton applied and beat them by about 15.

Fillies are playing out of control! Turning the ball over a lot. Maybe the worst passing team I've seen. We've got the talent to be a pretty good team but right now we're terrible.

Did #4 graduate. I didn't think she was a senior. #14 is good looking athlete.

Loretto shot us out of the gym big time. I don't think #13 missed a three all game.

Wonder if coach Wilkins is planning on putting both our 6'2" girls on the floor at the same time.

Fillies got Southside, South Gibson & Loretto tomorrow at Freed Hardeman. Ought to answer some questions.

Huntingdon 8 Union City 0 in 5. Fillies have 7 shutouts in 10 games. Only lost to Henry Co in 9 in. Our lefty is throwing pretty good right now. Has 70 ko's in 35 innings pitched.

Huntingdon Fillies should be pretty strong this season. Young team with only one senior starting. Got 3 pitchers that know how to pitch. #1 pitcher and catcher already committed to UTM. Fast, very good defensively we ith some pop in their bats. Run ruled Dyer Co 10-0 1st game. I'm exited about this bunch,

Fans go to games to see great players perform not sit on the bench. I remember a few years ago I ventured down to Oxford Ms to see the Vols and Ole Miss play. Bernard King got 3 1st qt fouls and ended up sitting most of the game. Made me sick and I haven't liked the 5 foul rule since. My team lost to 3 great teams. We can be all the good teams.
