  1. Brentwood 28 HC 14 Only reason it's even that close is bc HC is at home
  2. That's an understatement! Kenwood gave up 86 to Oakland and Northeast lost to Kenwood. So yeah, y'all will be fine in region play.
  3. For sure. Two things working in HC's favor 1. It's a pretty long road trip from Brentwood 2. Brentwood plays Ravenwood next week in a huge crosstown rivalry game, and the winner will most likely win the region.
  4. Yes, that was Ron Crawfords first year back, and he was rebuilding. It was just Brentwood and Centennial at that time though. Franklin and Ravenwood were 6a, and Independence was in a different region. It was a really odd two years for Williamson County. And, funny! Y'all do have nicer locker rooms, however
  5. I gotcha. I respect y'all for playing a team like Brentwood. In my opinion, Brentwood plays in the best district in the state.(Outside of Dickson) Nothing like the Clarksville schools and Dyer County.
  6. Very misleading stat. MBA's losses are to Brentwood and Pearl Cohn. Cane Ridge's losses are to Pearl Cohn and Brentwood. Dickson is terrible, but to beat another 6a team 63-0 is very impressive. Brentwood will win this one comfortably. Dyer County's two wins are against Crockett and Obion. I respect Henry County as a 5a program, but no way a top 2 team in Williamson County loses to Henry County.
  7. Crocket is usually good, but down this year and Obion is a rival.
  8. If you don't know that a 1-2 quarter scrimmage is not the same as a 4 quarter game, that tells me all I need to know. I did see that game on live stream, and the Jackson announcers were talking about how poor the Milan coaching was
  9. I've ben around football long enough to know that scrimmages are valuable, but they don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. For example, Siegel beat Brentwood and tied Ravenwood in a scrimmage. Guess what BPM???? They got killed by an ok Franklin team. Ravenwood blew out CentenniaI. Brentwood beat MBA. A lot of variables go into scrimmages that are different than games. I know and am well connected to a lot of people in that area. I watched Peabody vs Milan livestream and Peabody was still running their starting QB in the 4th. Would they be running him behind a 3rd string O line?
  10. "There are no 5a schools in west tn that can play with them, maybe even the state" You're saying Henry County wouldn't even play with them. I know Dyersburg and Haywood are 4a. I was talking about bigger schools in general. I would put money that both would beat Peabody. Haywood would beat them easily. Dyersburg would be close. Yes, they may have more overall players on the roster, but they also have more that have to play both ways. Westview might even beat them having Simpson and one of the best coaches in the state. Again, I believe Peabody is really good and will win the 2a crown
  11. This is a major overstatement. Peabody is going to win the 2A state championship as long as they avoid major injuries. However, they would lose to Haywood, Henry County, and Dyersburg. The depth would be too much. Don't get me started with all the Middle Tennessee larger schools they would lose to. They have 12 really good seniors, but there's only 12. They play a ton of players both ways, you're not beating good big schools having to play that many players both ways. Again, great at the 2a level, but saying they would beat any 5a school is ignorant, and should be called out on it. Depth comes into play when you play larger schools. Now......You have to admit Milan has underachieved going back to even Morris's last couple years. Peabody's personnel is probably a little better than Milan's, but not 35-14 better. Not -24 yards at half better. They are simply better COACHED!
  12. If your BEST non region game is a good 5a team, that's not helping your case. I admit you had a really good team last year, but having an easy schedule helps. I don't think you should be talking smack about Cane Ridge when they actually schedule teams like: Brentwood, Ravenwood, Hilsboro, and Smyrna.
  13. Lol and your school is too afraid to ever play big boys in the regular season.
  14. Completely agree! This guy is the same age as the last coach, and just because he was at low-level positions with Colleges, he's a great hire? A couple losses will change everything.
  15. It tends to get more exposed in Williamson County
  16. There are only certain exceptions in which students can go out of zone. For example, Franklin High has an IB program, so if you are accepted into that, you may attend Franklin High. (Not Many Athletes) Oakland High in Rutherford has that also. It's very rare in which a school can get a student that is not in the zone. There are always exceptions such as: a parent working for the school, a sibling that was grandfathered, or a certain program that other schools don't have. To my knowledge, any closed zone school system will have similar exceptions in which certain students with certain circumstances can attend, but it's rare. For the most part, you have to attend the High School in your zone. Totally different dynamic than rural areas.
  17. What are you talking about? There are 9 High Schools in the district, and each have a zone.
  18. I understand that, it might have been a factor after a few days of reflection. Who knows? I know that Weakley County's teacher pay is not very good, and the coaching stipend would have to be pretty high to offset.
  19. I can tell you no firings. This is the best coached county in the state. There could be a couple looking to leave given the obstacles they have to deal with such as NO ATHLETIC PERIOD and the craziest parents around.
  20. Hankins took it, then turned it down. My guess is they couldn't match the pay.
  21. Could be a tricky one because of the matchup. Riverdale's D is a lot better against the run than the pass. Hendersonville really struggles throwing the ball. 1/9 against Franklin through the air................
  22. Absolutely. Oakland is great, Blackman is good, and the rest of Rutherford County is a huge question mark.
