  1. I'm trying to give some perspective I feel as if yall are pointing fingers at the wrong thing. Just a parent who sees these kids working and being pushed hard by these coaches
  2. So what's wrong with the coaching? Did they not play yalls kids enough at some point or are yall some dads still caught up in living vicariously through your children and just because things don't go perfect it means these coaches aren't good enough? @Primetime1 made a great point they basically played a varsity game with a jv team. Very curious if yall have actually compared what Westview is doing as a program compared to surrounding areas... I heard when Carver transferred in the spring and went to knox west he was stronger than any other kid and compliments were given to WVs strength and conditioning for that. And some championship teams don't even lift during season at all. I'm curious just how knowledgeable some of you keyboard warriors are that point fingers at coaches before actually looking at the whole picture. Just remember this team is one game into their season- and it's pretty obvious they are in a year of growth which I think we will all get to witness in the stands each week.
  3. I haven't seen really any hype over WV, if anything the opposite. It's been very well known that WV is a very young team this year, the little experienced players they had, they lost a couple to injuries, this is definitely what most people have called a rebuilding type of year. But I'd like to think that they did better than a lot of people were expecting last night. Most were calling for Dresden to put WV to bed by halftime. WV has potential for a decent year by the looks of last night
  4. 14-9 Westview after 2 quarters. Not sure if we will see jv for second half or if it will be varsity only tonight.
  5. "the only team to really get over 100 yards rushing was Huntingdon." Was just trying to clarify that your previous remark was incorrect.
  6. Westview had 250+ yards rushing on UC the first game.....
  7. I copied these from Westview’s Stat guy who posted the final season stats for the team and pulled Quincy's from his post- Quincy Hamilton Offense: finished with 263 yards on 23 carries, four touchdowns and an average of 11.4 yards a carry. Quincy Hamilton led the receiving corps with 48 catches for 1,005 yards and 16 touchdowns good for 20.9 yards a catch. Quincy Hamilton leads the team with 122 points Defense Quincy Hamilton has 35 total tackles, 19 unassisted, one forced fumble, eight interceptions, four pass breakups and nine big plays. One of the interceptions was returned for a touchdown. Special teams On return yardage, Quincy Hamilton has returned seven kicks for 112 yards On punt returns, Quincy Hamilton has returned two for 15 yards. He has returned 8 interceptions for 96 yards and one touchdown. That's a total of 21 touchdowns. 1491 total yds
  8. Westviews sideline doctor that went to check on the huntingdon player confirmed the racial slur and very inappropriate comments that were made by huntingdon side. Sure did happen. Pretty bad.
  9. Not sure what Graham Simpson being in the stands has anything to do with this game
  10. Westview Football Facebook page shared this info: $10 at the gate or gofan $7 https://gofan.co/app/events/633964?schoolId=TN12988
  11. He just played last week for the first time in about 3 weeks...... and can't blame lack of effective QB play. The QB had a rough start but is actually connecting passes now and has much improved the last 3 weeks too. And if we're are gonna throw out anyone's name from Westview it should be Quincy Hamilton. Everyone who has actually watched this season as a whole and been at every game would know that.
  12. They've got about 56. unapproved website isn't accurate. Just as it listed way more for Dresden than they actually have
  13. Yeah 10-7 was the score for varsity
