Great for them. I’ll put coach smith against anybody. He’s a great motivator and his X’s and O’s aren’t too shabby. Lol. Great things will come from these young girls.

Celina with a real nice 5pt win over Hampton. Great bounce back after losing to York last week. It was in Celina, but beating a team of Hampton’s caliber is still impressive (as Hampton is one of the best 1A teams in the east and expected to be in Murfreesboro at seasons end).

York is good. Coach Rodney has never had much talent while at clarkrange but they were still competitive. He has talent now and has them playing well. This will be a team to be reckoned with.

Pickett put 27 on a very good and deep gordonsville team. Down 21-15 after 1, Pickett held gordonsville to 54 total points. This team is senior heavy and very goal oriented and they can flat put the ball in the hole. Very entertaining team to watch.

Clarkrange is doing well. It’s hard to leave clarkrange out, but I do believe Pickett and Clay are better. Lamar is arguably the best coach in girls/any basketball, but clarkrange’s talent compared to Pickett’s/Clay’s talent is less. Good thing is, is that they get a chance to settle it on the floor. Good luck to all.

Clay and Pickett are playing well. Smith has the young girls playing A Lot better than they were expected to be at Pickett. They doubled up RBS tonight which was expected to be a strong contender in the district. If he can instill a little more toughness in the younger players this team is more than capable of competing with any class A team.

The final did look bad but it was in single digits to start the 4th. Problem is when PC gets to rolling (and it’s been happening quite a bit) there doesn’t seem to be enough to’s to weather the storm. Smith county is a good basketball team. Pickett is just a better basketball team at this point.

That’s beautiful. Thanks for the stats bobcat. We might not play football at Pickett but WE DO PLAY BASKETBALL and we’re pretty good at it. People will keep saying negative things about these kids but they play for each other. I truly don’t believe it matters to any of them who leads the team in scoring as long as they win. Anybody that watches this team has to leave impressed.

Rodney is a good coach that has never gotten the credit he deserves. He never had a lot of talent at clarkrange but was always competitive. It’ll be interesting to see what he does with talent. It’s on him now. Lol

Amen. How many players finished at MAHS that started sept/Oct there? Memphis is an aau hotbed and they’ve turned TSSAA into the same. Anybody plays anywhere they want to/paid to.

Not even close to the same official. This official wanted the game to be about him instead of the kids. He called more technicals (3) than he did fouls through 3 quarters. He was horrible. The foul called at Pickett was by a young ref that seemed overwhelmed by the situation. Monterey should’ve been hit with an intentional and that’s it. He should’ve got to keep playing. That was inexperience not ego like at the state.

Houston regardless of finish “best team money could buy”. TSSAA should be ashamed.

Without a doubt. That’s what I get for posting on a game from home where I can only see updates. Lol. End of the day, congrats to Cane Ridge. They beat a very good and well coached team.

Kinda scary. Bearden is really good and they’re getting handled by Cane Ridge.

Game will be completely dependent on boxing out and rebounding. Pickett without a doubt shoots the ball better but second chance points is the key.

Might be a 20+ point win, but all of the teams left are well coached and capable of beating anybody any night. To write teams off at this point is short sided.

So of the 3 finalists peggs had 15, Cosby kid held to 14, and Strong had 32pts and 14rebs? Seems pretty clear to me who the Mr Basketball is. Lol. Oh and clay won and the other 2 lost. Numbers are one thing but “W’s” are what makes the difference to me.

You’re calling a district with white, cookeville,stone, and rhea a mediocre district??? Dude, you need to watch some girls basketball. Stone had Blackman beat in sectionals (and turned it over 3 straight possessions in the 4th up 7 to lose (by the way, they won the AAA state).

Without a doubt, and arguably the best at game planning. Doubt he’ll stay much longer though. His daughter is graduating this year. No reason to have to continue listening to the crazies. lol

Who’s not giving Richland credit? 26-1 is hard to overlook! Lol. The top five ranked teams in the state are/were in that bracket. Lorretto got put out by Richland. Whoever makes it out of that side has definitely earned it.

Arlington shouldn’t have been in the tournament. I don’t wish anything towards the innocent but there were guilty parties in the dyer county postgame. Serious inquiry needs to be made in the Arlington program.

Arlington school system should be ashamed and ALL associated should be banned. Collierville is getting the shaft on this. They (Arlington) should not be allowed to play. End of discussion.
