  1. Coach Wilson and staff are really good. He gets it and they get the kids out of the hallway. Plus they have some talent so that doesn't hurt.
  2. All great points and interesting how tough it is compared to in person. I've heard that they had a choice at the beginning of the year and once the choice was made that's it. Selfishly I just want to see the playoffs without covid playing a big role but I believe it's not realistic
  3. Oh I don't believe you are being heartless and I understand your frustration. Regardless of where anyone stands on covid, it feels as though adults are ruining what should be the best of times for these students.
  4. As a fan who loves watching high school football, why haven't school administrations allowed students to opt for virtual learning for the remainder of the year. Doing so could possibly reduce contact tracing issues and allow students to finish out their fall semester sports/activities. As covid/contact tracing issues continue to ruin a teams season and possible playoff run, it seems to be a good option. Many school systems were virtual to begin the year so it seems the resources are there. It doesn't matter if it's football, band, or drama, all students should have the chance to participate and finish out their season, especially seniors who may not have a chance at the next level. Are the school systems looking out for the students best interest, is it political, not enough resources or something different? Just wanting your opinion.
  5. Wow. Didn't see that coming. Congrats Westy
  6. I'd have to agree. The Jackets always gets better as the season progresses. A testament to talent and coaching.
  7. Congratulations to that young man. Haven't seen him play yet but obviously a talent.
  8. Watching the game closely with interest from Middle Tennessee. Always admired Milan and the team that takes the field Friday nights. Should be a great game and can't wait to see how it plays out.
  9. Yeah without Whitehaven it's still tough but I'd have to say the movement does help HC'S chances of representing the West. Honestly they're going to complete at any level with the tradition, talent, and staff they have in place. Springfield and Nolensville are 2 well coached teams that will give everyone trouble in 5A. Interested to see how Mt Juliet fairs with Green Hill opening. I think they'll be just fine but time will tell
  10. It's just sad that players and coaches who've poured so much into a season have to see it cut short. Coaches being away from their families and players wanting to finish out their season, many of whom will never see the field again, have to watch it end so abruptly. We've all seen the tears from players, coaches, and families after their last game is played. To see it end like this is even more heartbreaking. Unfortunately this is the world we currently live in, I personally just hate to see it end like this and hope I never see it again.
  11. Get Dickson County away from the Williamson County schools so they have a fighting chance. I liked it when they like Lincoln County and others use to be a powerhouse
  12. Portland is definitely in trouble either way. I have connections in Portland and have always pull for them. I'm far from there now but don't understand why they are not better. Serious question for those that know, is it a lack of talent/athletes or can they not get them out of the hallways?
  13. Not much talk because it will probably get ugly quickly. That being said Gallatin has great tradition, talent, and I believe a really good coach in Watson. Unfortunately they haven't been able to put it together this year. Number of factors in play here but the Green Wave have not lived up to expectations this year but the playoffs are a different story. Make a run and the regular season becomes old news
  14. Henry County's road might have gotten a little easier. You do get newcomers Mt Juliet, Whitehaven, Springfield, Nolensville. Plus Page will be better and there's Hillsboro. Whitehaven in 5A is the surprise to me.
  15. Page has definitely improved and will give Franklin a fight but they don't have the horses to hang with Franklin this year.
  16. The part I hate the most for every team, no matter the region, is that it wasn't settled on the field. Webb is a tremendous weapon for LC and you never know. Shelbyville could have beaten Summit and Hillsboro beaten Gallatin. But the best teams will rise and it will all play itself out in the playoffs. Hopefully there isn't a team hit with covid/contact tracing in the playoffs. But with the way things are going I imagine it will eventually get someone.
  17. LC had to cancel. Contact tracing gets yet another team. One of 4 teams fighting for the last 2 spots. Make that 3 now
  18. Great matchup. Tullahoma will be too much for the Knights. Coach Derrick and staff will have them ready but Tullahoma is way to explosive.
  19. Hahaha you're right. They are unbeaten in the games they've played on their schedule. Guess PC will have to play them for Metro superiority. That might get ugly
  20. Great matchup with Taylor and the WC o-line vs the Riverdale defensive front. If WC can control the los they can get the win.
  21. Playoff implications. Look for Hillsboro to be the more tested team having played Pearl, Beech, and Cane Ridge. Hillwood has had an easy schedule so far with Glencliff, Cheatham, and Hunters Lane. Hillsboro wins this one by 2-3 TD's.
  22. Has Gallatin been missing any players due injury or covid?
  23. Let's hope Gallatin plays better. I think Watson is a good coach but their showing last week was extremely disappointing. Hendersonville ran the ball down Gallatin's throat. Seems to play right into Beech's biggest strength. Hard to see this being close but it is 2020 so all bets are off.
  24. Oak Ridge is playing well right now. They've got talent and seem to be putting it together. Will this game give us a better understanding of what kind of team Oak Ridge or Powell has?
