  1. Good game Pirates and good luck the rest of the way, see you same time next year at Gordonsville
  2. Don't know what you're talking about, Gordymomma is not from Gordonsville. All I see in the thread are predictions for the Pirates
  3. Don't get worked up, just a hometown prediction
  4. Put me down for Tigers 27 Pirates 21. If we slow down (not stop) the Pirates D-Line by play design, wrap up and tackle the Pirate ball carriers, and limit the turnovers I like our chances
  5. I usually pay no attention to the clowns but the “momma” thing got under my skin. Can’t wait to head down there tomorrow
  6. I never knew our Gordonsville mothers had such intrinsic knowledge of the history of high school football. You must be a student of the game to recollect memories of Trousdale playing in 1A, the SP dominance since and make predictions on the Blue Cross Bowl in Chattanooga. I apologize for underestimating you.
  7. You sure do love you some Trousdale “gordymomma” I for one think South Pitt is a better program than Trousdale. I also think Hampton represents the East in 2A this year. Thoughts?
  8. You might but it’s been at least 15 years
  9. Gordonsville has played very flat and uninspired the past two weeks. I hope that switch can be flipped in one week and we play aggressive. I’ll stick with my original thought: SP has more talent than Gordonsville as is the case every year. However, the talent gap is narrow as it’s been in a long time. I am hopeful and confident we will find a way to win. I have no doubt there will be a large home crowd Friday night. No disrespect to our district brethren, but I imagine Red Springs and Clay County doesn’t bring the casual fan out on name alone.
  10. SP beats Clay down 45-7. While Gordonsville only barely beat Clay 21-14. Seems like simple math to me; SP will be too much for the Tigers once again
  11. Congrats Pirates! I like the…… confidence this will bring to everyone in SP
  12. Random question - is the gentleman that would yell "hello" from the fence still around? Haven't heard him the past few GV/SP meetings. He used to be lively
  13. JB scored on the first drive last game to make it 6-0 so i would say it’s quite possible It is a very different Gordonsville team. I believe our o-line is our weakest unit which is unusual. However this is the best passing attack we’ve had maybe ever. Defense plays hard and is well coached. This team does not have a beat you down style, but I will say if we get to play next week we will be in it until the end
  14. I can give a bit of an outsider’s commentary. It depends on who they play at QB really. #11 is their hoss, they can line up in a power set and he will run over people but from what I understand has been hurt most of the year. I think he is healthy now. #12 is a freshman that has played well in his stead. He will be a very good player one day but is still a freshman doing some freshman things, good arm though. #44 is the main player out wide, he has a serious set of wheels. The team overall will play very hard. I think SPitt will score a touchdown late to make it something like 28-14. If SP overlooks Clay or lays an egg Clay can 100% win but the straight up talent differential is 2-3 TD’s. Granted if Clay lays an egg it could be more
  15. I hope you stay off those sports betting sites. Don’t let them take your money
  16. I can see how you would think this after tonight. It was a very boring game. I can agree that Pitt has more talent than Gordonsville, BUT that talent margin is closer than it’s been in a long time. Close enough that turnovers, penalties, and coaching decisions will decide that game. That is if the individuals in street clothes tonight will be playing
  17. Hoping for a big win tonight, awful sleepy in Gordonsville this week. Hopefully it’s just the Halloween sugar crash
  18. Gordonsville’s coaching staff takes very good care of the field. It will hold up as good as a grass field can in Middle Tennessee tonight. A prediction that either team will win by 21 is………. aggressive. Gordonsville 21 Clay 13
  19. I believe Clay had Gordonsville’s respect and attention long before any AP ranking came out. These two junior classes have been butting heads since they were in diapers. TC and H20 folks have stirred up a lot of faux disrespect in this thread. The Cornersville win is impressive. I always expect a Gordonsville win with my blue glasses but whoever wins this game better hope they don’t see the other in the 3rd round. It’s always tough to beat a team twice
  20. I thought the same thing. SP will have a much tougher 2nd and 3rd round game than usual, but the East runs through SP as it does every year.
  21. Their hope is the refs will let them play with a round orange ball when they come to Gordonsville
  22. Our crew does a great job https://www.1041theranch.com/listen-live-on-line/click-to-hear-fm/
  23. We have four seniors on the roster currently but only two are playing because of injuries. The junior class is the one you’re thinking of, it is a very large class.
