This should be easy, list out the programs he has helped with money, somebody do a public records request at those schools for a list of boosters and those amounts for the past 10 years. It should all be public record by TSSAA rules. Then this will shut this up. lol

Its about all sports, Signal Mt has used 8th graders to win state championships in wrestling for years. Most teams have to forfeit 106 weight class, but they do not because they use 8th graders. Science Hill used to have 8th graders in their building from my understanding, one of the largest school in the state. More schools use 8th graders than you think.

What about high schools that have 8th grade? This has been allowed, it is just fixing a current problem.

3 years ago, 3 transferred out that would be SR this year. One transferred during summer ball to Knoxville, online work makes that possible for parents now. I wasn't talking about just last year, its a compounding problem of having a lot of Sr playing, the younger kids move on now days. You see it in college now, the time of waiting your turn is over. I haven't gave up on this team, they still have some learning to do. I think they will be ready for the post season.

They are super young, they will mature as the year goes. Free throws get better as you get older normally.

Because they was buried on the depth chart as a sophomore and transferred to other schools, that year they had like 6 or 7 seniors, and 4 jr on the varsity team. Last year the sophomores and freshman was better than the jr on the team, so they transferred. That is how it goes. One of them was a football star and is focusing on that at their new school this year, which would be a Sr.

The Kingsport rumors maybe true. The rumor is Joey picked up retirement papers and attended a retirement meeting.

You are crazy, they was 3rd last year with the core of the team returning without the transfers. They could have beat BC last year also. Why constantly underestimate a team that has performed well? Did I say they would win? No, I said they would have a real shot, which is true.

If DB could have kept their team together instead of the transfers they would have had a real shot, but that is how it happens these days.

I watched them play the other day, they are good, but I don't think they are better than DB this year. We will see when DB gets truly tested.

I never said he didn't know how to win in high school.. so why bring that into it? Furman was good before him, he got hired for his recruiting ties and he will get his next job based on that too. Apparently you don't pay attention to ETSU, they cleaned house because of the drama. Sorry if your feelings got hurt, but you spouting facts that don't even matter nor anything I stated. ETSU got worse not better. You can't win them all, many coaches win and move up and struggle. Saban for example, it's just what it is.

Oh I agree, small schools get eaten alive by large schools with huge funds. FCS schools will have to learn how to recruit all over again. I think they need to cap the amount per school like a salary cap, or say the most a student can receive is X amount.

You get out with that nonsense of one good season. Randy first year 8-4 finished ranked Covid year 4-2 with ranking in top 25 all year His last year 11-2 and beat vandy. Finished Ranked. Under Quarles with a ton of returning players, started ranked 11th..... Finshed 3-8 Math is hard I know, but this is just the facts. One good season is a lie, multiple winning seasons to hit a brick wall and lose.. Winning games is hard, so don't discount winning seasons. A lesson that Quarles tenure should teach you. Quarles is a good guy, I have met him many times, played against him when he played for Furman many moons ago, but facts are facts.

Bottom line, he inherited a top 10 team and just had to keep the ship sailing.... You know what he didn't do? Keep the ship sailing, sinking into the pit of the Socon. He was a great high school coach, but you also have to be able to recruit and unify young men from many different backgrounds. He failed horribly at all those things, he also did not increase offensive output and lost many winnable games. What is the one thing you can change to fix all that? Fire the coach and get a new one. Which is what they are doing. Transfer portal and NIL is a new world and its not easy.

If Dobyns Bennett isn't in the conversations for another state tournament appearance then you are wrong. Under Poore they are going to stay competitive. Ever since covid Memphis area has been in shambles and allowed the East to take a foothold in the state. I never thought I would see the day, but it has happened.

I believe the athletic department has already told him his future and it's not with ETSU. That is the word from a board member.
