Most football historians would likely agree with my statements on my previous posts just to be honest with you. However, I will indulge your transgression, even though it is not relevant to the content of this thread because this is about high school not college. Who would you think was the best college team ever?

Even some of the best teams to ever play the game can struggle from time to time. Take into consideration the 1998 Tennessee Volunteers Football Team. Most argue that they were THE BEST college football team to ever take the field in any era or generation. Still, think about all the close games and things that had to fall into place for them to have a perfect season. Wake Up, sir!

You are absolutely correct that at a 4A institution that it can be difficult to "reload" every year. That is an excellent program that has suffered some tough injuries along the way. Take those out... and the overall record is much, much different.

Portland will take this one but it will be closer than the experts think. Just have to look at common opponents to see that. Specifically, Kenwood. They're a well-coached team, although the record doesn't support it.

If Gibbs can slow the opposing RB, S-D is dead in the water, IMO. It will be much closer than 21.

It is certainly relevant to the conversation, sir or madam. I am stating that they were a generational ball club. I am uncertain if you had the chance to watch them compete and perform. I am assuming you did not or your tune would most likely not be the same. You are; however, welcome to move right along.

When I settled here from the Pacific Northwest in late 2009, I had the opportunity to call Oak Ridge home (more deep Hardin Valley, but I call it OR). We have never had a season like this and I think that it is unlikely that it will happen again. Everyone be patient with the players, coaches, support staff... they will right the ship!
