  1. Moore county runs away with this one. Don’t be surprised if they try to hang 60 just to make a statement
  2. I don’t see very many scenarios that have Richland even keeping it close past the 2nd quarter. Lincoln county should win this one by a lot. Probably a cool win for the LC head coach, who if I’m not mistaken is a Richland grad
  3. A player that got cleared by the state 3 times before he was declared ineligible by an assistant TSSAA director who stepped in due to an illness with the director at the time? School voluntary submitted his eligibility for review the 2nd time, not usually something someone does if they are trying to pull a fast one. Please let me know who these kids are that get their rents paid ? Inquiring minds want to know? Seems like you’re just a sad bitter old man who can’t stand the fact that LC is going to be the same for the next 20 years as it has been in the last 20 years, irrelavent in most boys sports.
  4. Such poor coaching to make the adjustments to come back from a 14 point deficit to a really good team. If he’s a poor coach, I’d hate to hear what you think of some of the other ones around. The team who played the better game won, and sometimes that’s just the way the news goes.
  5. Great game. McKenzie played the better complete game, tigers didn’t get off the bus till the end of the 1st. But a heck of run for this senior class who went 46-5 over their 4 years. A state title, 2 semi final runs. A very special group
  6. Touchdown tigers. False start and then the 2pt conversion attempt picked off. 14-12 tigers 1 min left in 1st half
  7. Fumble by McKenzie. 14-6 rebels lead 4:14 left in 2nd . Tigers got the ball
  8. Both McKenzie and city both seemed to be in dog fights early with inferior teams in the 2nd rd, maybe sleepwalking a little knowing the game that awaited them this week. This one might be one of those that’s talked about on this site for the next decade or so. In Toss up games it comes down to 3 things (special teams, coaching, turnover battle) McKenzie may have the better coach, so Fayetteville will need to win those other 2 categories to have a chance. Tigers also have revenge on their mind from last year. I’ll take City 28-26.
  9. You obviously drank too much sweet tea at shoney’s or something. City got kids all across the map that have played college ball. but I digress, city wins. Closer than it probably should be, but expect Dresden to put up a fight that should keep them in the game until Atleast half time
  10. City has plenty of vocational education opportunities and has since the day it opened. Sounds like you regurgitate garbage the falcon club says. Kids aren’t missing out on any opportunities at city educationally, athletically, socially, vocationally , or otherwise.
  11. Kids deserve a choice. LCHS teacher to student ratio is close to 30:1, city is closest to 19:1. All 3( elementary, middle, highsxhool) in the city system are blue ribbon schools of excellence, routinely have kids scoring in the 30’s on their Act ( a higher percentage I’d be willing to bet) small schools are the backbone of America. It has nothing to do with black or white. The only ones failing our kids, are the crusty old white racist ***** who keep trying to stick their nose in business that doesn’t concern them. City kids don’t want to go to LC, the parents don’t want their kids to go to LC. So sit back , remove that sheet with eye holes in it for a little while , and relax. Because city high school isn’t going anywhere, no matter bad you want it to
  12. LC will never be competitive in 5A again. Cunningham overachieved( 2 wins) with a group of 25 seniors. I wouldn’t expect them to win 10 total games in the next 3 years. Be a miracle if they could get to 9
  13. Use “Athletes” in quotes then talking about segregation, why don’t you go ahead and say what you want to say? Typical LC faithful.
  14. McKenzie by 21 plus. Moore county isn’t going to get to sleep walk through the first half like they did in round 1. They did make good adjustments at halftime to stop the run, but if they do that against McKenzie, it’ll be far too late
  15. Eye ball tests matter. #9 from city put up big play after big play for them all year. No he doesn’t have the eye popping numbers, but his usage rate wasn’t as high. white might be the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER in the state, but the best player? Probably not, and top 5 highly debatable
  16. Adamsville, by multiple scores. Richland is not that great, have overachieved and really struggled with some not great teams.
  17. Cascade will hang around and make this a game, but this Lewis county team can score and eventually I think they’ll put up too many points.
  18. The eagleville team I saw last Thursday didn’t look like they even wanted to be out there. Dresden by as much as they want
  19. That 2014 Monterey team was out for blood, they had the bye the year before in ‘13 , ran for almost 400 yards and lost to a #6 seed Fayetteville city (1st year in existence) who also knocked off #3 defending champs Gordy in the first round on the road edit: that was the first Fayetteville team to get their lunch money taken by south Pittsburg.
  20. City has done a good job over the years of filling the non region schedule with teams in higher classes. I don’t expect much of a change. They will hang out in the upper echelon (Top 10) most years . as for eagleville, this could be a trap game for the tigers. Thursday, short week, region secured, undefeated season on the line before a playoff run. I see this one being close early and city pulling away as the game goes on. Too much depth. 35-12 tigers. And complete the 2nd undefeated regular season in program history(IYKYK)
  21. I remember that. Was very odd response considering the year before city could have put 200 on huntland and chose not to. I wouldn’t be surprised to see city put 60 up tonight. May be one of the last city vs huntland games for the foreseeable future
  22. Please breakdown Fayetteville city and Peabody’s “cupcake schedule “ , inquiring minds are dying to hear it.
  23. A 10 game varsity schedule with other teams who will game plan, watch film and bring their best players will prove to be a tiny bit different than a Jv schedule. Eagleton has a really good chance to be a very dominate team for a long time, but year 1 next year will be a bit tough!
