I wonder if the supernatural plays a role in this weeks game.

I can assure you that nobody left in 5A on the east side of the bracket is shaking in their boots because they see WV. WV is very deserving of being there as they have beat the teams in front of them. I keep hearing about this great WV defense. I promise you that the two best defenses in 5A in the East will be facing each other this coming Friday night. The front 7 for Powell ain’t no joke and the West D ain’t either. As for the BC/Bearden game. I will take BC but not by as much as last time.

Another good win for the Rebs! More than likely comes to an end next week! Heckuva run though!

No doubt Clinton is talented but more talented than Bearden? I don’t even think it is close talent wise. If McMinn shows up and plays defense they will win handily.

The real question is will it be too cold for you Barney? Are you ready for basketball season? Are you making the drive/ride to Johnson City?

Unfortunately, neither are real contenders this year. Not sure LC will be one in the next 5-10 years. Rhea has the potential to be any year, just been awhile since they have put one together.

While you toot the horn of the 1 team that brought back most everyone on offense -5 and most everyone on defense -4 but you added Keefer. Incredible things going on at Powell!!! Not what Bearden is doing but incredible nonetheless.

Some are just smarter and better at hiding.

Reading the end of this thread is somewhat interesting. Everyone is talking about all the kids that Powell lost from last years team and no one is talking about all the kids that West lost to graduation. I picked Powell to win and they definitely missed some opportunities, but to act like West wasn’t “rebuilding” is rather laughable. Both teams breaking in new QB’s. Wheeler returns for Powell and West has to find another RB. Powell’s offensive line all returned but one and West lost all but 1. All of this based off of Rivalry Thursday and DCM games so they could both be wrong in regards to the numbers.

Powell seems to have found themselves the last few weeks. West seems to have lost themselves offensively. I’ll take who is currently playing better. Panthers by 10+
