  1. Disastrous 3rd quarter for Gville. Interception on opening drive after halftime and pick six later on completely changed the momentum
  2. I believe this is just radio though, correct?
  3. I definitely agree that it's the most open it's been in several years, but I would still say that Oakland is a pretty heavy favorite to win their 3rd in a row. One team I haven't seen much of is Cane Ridge so I really can't speak to whether or not they're deserving of being ranked #2 in 6A, but they can't be too bad if they knocked off CPA
  4. I’m not aware of any live stream for this game
  5. Not sure if there’s truth to that or not but it would certainly make sense. I also wonder if he would even be the same if he did come back this season since running is such a huge part of his game. If he doesn’t come back, I certainly like Beech’s chances a lot better to come out of the west
  6. According to @croz6110, the number is closer to 70 but still a huge number for a 1A program
  7. Doesn't Dilfer have other former NFL vets on his staff? I could see that number maybe making sense from an entire staff payroll standpoint like you said, but surely not Dilfer's salary alone
  8. Thanks for clearing that up regarding guys playing both ways, I figured there had to be at least a couple
  9. I've heard that Gordonsville doesn't have a single player that plays both ways, which is not very common at the 1A level. I've wondered if Coach Jackson might change that when the playoffs roll around and start playing some of his better players on both sides of the ball
  10. I don't see Oakland getting beat again at all this season, but I definitely don't see them losing before the semis. That has yet to happen since Creasy took over and I don't see it happening this year either. Of course anything can happen, but it's going to take a really off night from Oakland for them to get knocked off that early. I also agree that I still expect Maryville to make it back to the semis, and I hope they do as the Maryville-Oakland rivalry has been really fun to watch over the last several years. Oakland should be very grateful to have Coach Creasy as Maryville should be to have Coach Hunt. Definitely 2 of the best coaches in the state of TN
  11. Which would be silly if that's the case. Farragut is a good football team, definitely worthy of being ranked in the top 10 and with losses only to Maryville & West. Also I would like Beech's chances if those 2 played each other again.
  12. I think this would be my top 10 in order as well, maybe flip flop Gordonsville & South Pitt. Playoffs should be very exciting, a lot of potentially great matchups in multiple rounds
  13. I agree, I think Beech should be even higher than they are
  14. That is accurate. If I'm not mistaken, they have at least 75 players on the team if not more.
  15. Not that these polls mean much at all anyway.. but I've never understood this one. Why Gville is ranked behind Coalfield after beating them as bad as they did is beyond me
  16. Appreciate the link. Really enjoy watching the show every week, you guys do a great job. Keep up the good work
  17. https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/high-school/2022/10/26/tennessee-high-school-football-rankings-associated-press-poll-week-11/69585017007/ Beech finally getting some love with an appearance in the Top 10. I felt like it was overdue
  18. Congrats to Lipscomb Academy DB Kaleb Beasley on his commitment to the University Of Tennessee
  19. I just don't think it's really surprising that East Nashville lost to Riverdale. I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if it went the other way either, but I expected Riverdale to win the game.
  20. Good point. I think it will be a great game and I can see it going either way. Winner definitely gets a big advantage as far as the playoffs are concerned
  21. I think so but mostly basing that off of Clay being at home. If the game was at Gordonsville I’d probably give Gville the slight edge. Should be a close game
  22. Definitely not invincible (no one is), but they do seem to be on another level than the other schools in 6A. Their defense is not quite as good as it was the last 2 years or last several years for that matter. That seems to be the biggest difference even more so than losing James, Patterson, Horton, etc. Still the favorites to win 6A IMO
  23. I’m convinced he posts stuff that he knows is ridiculous just to get a reaction
  24. IMO there’s almost always a better chance to win it all in 2A. 3A is dominated by Alcoa
  25. Hated to see him go down last night, he’s a special talent for sure. Also didn’t mean to gloss over the LaDue injury either. It looked like he was just cramping up on the sideline, that’s what the broadcast announcers were speculating anyway.
