Sorry i have been away i have been very busy and my laptop went KAPUT!!! LOL...I did make the trip and all of the games as I actually have a son on the team now and during this game he got his first varisty action it was 1 play the last play of the game but he got in so it made the trip and lack of sleep well worth it. as far as the game i thought that Ballard had the athletes to play with us HOWEVER the huge difference in this game was the line as i thought both our DL and OL dominated up front...I was also encouraged with our coverage Ballard has a WR that is a D 1 prospect and we was on him one on one most of the night and 2 different guys handled him well... good game all the way around GO WARRIORS

Good game by my WARRIORS last night we jumped out to a 28-0 lead and then kinda shut things down. I think lol...Odom is looking REAL GOOD THIS YEAR AND if you dont enjoy watching Scottie Boykin(21) and Peyton Phillips (27) play full back and LB then there is somthing wrong with ya LOL these 2 guys are so FUN to watch they both play hard hit hard and are just EXCELLENT high school football players....defense play great all night and offense executed well espcially in the first half and coach did a GREAT job of sprinkling 2nd teamers and getting a lot of guys quality playing time

I liked the 3 game series but I kinda understand doing away with it as it was menatally tough...Like you I liked the 3 game series and I truely think it helped in developing players...as far as doing away with the regular season champs getting a bye to region I think is a VERY BAD thing....I do not understand why 4 coaches would vote against a regular season champ getting a bye to region...if you worked hard all year and are good enough to win the district outright then to me it is a no brainer that the champ advances...keep in mind this new rule would have benefited my second son so i am not saying this out of any bias

I wish we could get 9AAA involved with the jamboree so we dont have to play each other but it will be a nice little fund raiser for all the schools... not a fan of the monday night game as I like to be home for the monday night football game and I am mixed on the start time I like it because i leave for work around 12 or 1 in the morning and I dont like it because it seems 7 gets there quick.lol...either way i will be there and ready to cheer on my WARRIORS

i was at a middle school game yesterday...2 HRs

the coaches vote for their district stuff and while I am PROUD OF TY PETTY and you really can make an argument for her winning it but these are the same coaches that voted the 4th place team coach as coach of the year and he didnt beat anyone above his team...so you can kinda take that with a grain of salt as there is some jelousy or some dislike for each other in our district... for the record i though oaklands coach might have deserved this award as this team in my opinion finished a lot better than anticpated

do you realize that someone in the LC and Sh thread is saying close to the same things you are saying?....just saying

ive never been a big individual award person although I am very happy when one of my WARRIORS wins it. I have not seen any of the other girls play but I do want to take up for Cobi.. I dont know stats but i have watched a VAST majority of the games she has played in while at RIVERDALE...In my OPINION she improved ALOT from not only freshman to Sr year yr but from last year to this year she improved tremendously...she is very unsellfish she sees the court VERY GOOD gives the ball up hustles the entire game and really involves her teammates so while her staats may not be on par with others (not sure which ones arent) her overall game is PHENOMANAL... as far as being recruited and being ranked by all the magazines and all how many times has a team gotten a top recruit and things just didnt pan out...so to me that doesnt hold water we are not talking about what they might can do in college we are talking about what they did do in high school... I do pray that the young lady from SH that hurt her knee heels up quick and I truely hate that she got hurt please have a speedy recovery

well after a long hard fought season it all came down to today I am so proud of my LADY WARRIORS for winning state it truely was a team effort

LC is a good team in our game at their place we only beat them by 12 so give them the credit for your team not "playing good"...they are well coached and well prepared along with good inside play and a couple of good shooters

I also wanna give props to Shelby Davenport she made a huge bucket along with a free throw at a crucial time and Olivia jones for being all over the court during the game and for Cobi for being Cobi lol

SORRY I was in Jackson TN watching my son play baseball so I was out of town...I had to umpire this afternoon so i showed up (although i did listen to it) right after the 4th QTR this was another GREAT GAME as all of our games with them have been MJ took the lead in the 4TH QTR and we made some great plays to take the lead and close the game out along with hitting free throws... Alexa Middleton hit a HUGE 3 and then Ty Petty made some AWESOME DEFENSIVE steals to help seal the deal

good hard fought game by both teams tonight...i would be surprised if both teams dont advance to state

I agree eagleville has a lot of talent as a handful of those boys played at RIVERDALE and could have been contributors and Smith decided to go to eagleville after having a good summer with us prior to his freshman year so I know they are talented and good luck to them on the season. as far as district 7AAA...to be honest i am not in on all of the teams in the district like i used to be it is amazing with my son graduating just 2 years ago how much changes... the 3 game series is TOUGH!!! you really have to be mentally strong to win 2 out of 3 and you have to be really better than the other team to sweep. good luck and I hope the district has a GREAT season

no one at RIVERDALE is crowning us as champs we remeber the tough game we had at your place a few weeks ago this will be a long way a walk in the park the good thing is...it is not an elmination game so that is a little pressure off of both teams...congrats to coach Scott and her team I really liked her when she was here

at the same time we are talking about high school kid so the reason may not need to be known other than to her parents

i was at that game...that germantown team looked like a college team...THEY WERE HUGE!!!!...

that was a great game we had a LB Kelly that year that had great game against yall and it seems like he made a great play when SD was backed up against their goal line to help seal the win

i disagree while we could have won that game we was lucky to even be in that game we beat 2 teams that was probably better than we were just to get into the state championship game...it was a good team and we had a lot of SRS on that 01 team but we didnt have a solid tailback and our best WR was out with a broken leg

I love how people comment on something they wasnt there for...the bad part is if we wanted to run up the score we could have put 150 on them...we are a VERY GOOD team and Lavegne has a long way to go to get back to being competitve like they were 2 years ago...I also believe that blackman beat them 80 something to 6 or 8 they scored 2 points in the first half and those were free throws.

everyone played a half and when the bench gets in you cant expect them to do nothing as they work hard in practice too...and when they get a chance to play in a game they should play...we did not press with the younger players but they did run the half court offense...and they did play hard in a year or 2 we are going to need them to play when the game is on the line so they need to learn to play now... Phargis we have been desling with transfer rules for year and years and years even when i was at RIVERDALE over 20 years agowe have lost transfers and we have recieved transfers and I have learned to just play with who you got and let the chips fall where they may and stop making excuses..
