  1. Has anyone seen how the state is going to do the playoffs for 6A this year?
  2. Does anyone have any idea how the playoffs will work for next year?
  3. That would be a great idea assuming that all of the coaches could get the film uploaded onto the website. Would also save on time, let say in the playoffs if the two teams are a great distance away from each other.
  4. I think he did start a thread, but is either afraid to say who it is for fear of being mocked, or just does not enough faith to say it!!!!! But since he is from the Haven, I have a good idea who he is referring to!
  5. Depending on the size of the association, each one is awards "X" number of games. If there are not enough qualified officials from a particular area, then the games are assigned to a crew from a neighboring association. The association in Memphis is one of the biggest with the number of games that they call from week to week, therefore, they will get several games not in the memphis area. I know that Memphis sent at least two crews as far as Nashville.
  6. Where did you see these brackets, the website (tssaa.org) has not posted them yet?

14-AAA at Bolton has been banged for the day and will resume on Monday.
  8. All i see on here is that Cordova has to stop Millington. Does the Cordova offense not get to go onto the field? Millington will have to sure up it ability to stop both the run and the pass against Cordova. Cordova does have very good coaches who prepare their players well and I am sure that they will be ready for whatever Millington has to throw against them. Add to that, the fact that it is senior night and a region championship is on the line......should be a great game.
  9. It was a good hard fought game on both sides. every half inning, both teams had chances to score, but did not. It was 1-1 in the 5th, when USJ scored in the bottom of the inning. Cordova scored one in the top of the 6th, and then again in the top of the 7th and held on 3-2. All in all it was a well played high school baseball game. Neither team threw their number one pitchers.
  10. Anyone who went to games last Friday, how was the officiating?
  11. As an umpire (the guys who gets run over a lot and calls holding etc.) there is no specific rule on changing the ball out. As long as it does not interfere with the flow of the game and the ball boys are able to be where they are supposed to be, we can change the ball on every play if needed. A lot of the posters are correct. The ball does have to have the NFHS stamp on it to be allowed and the ball cannot be a "pumpkin"(which is why we check balls before the game).
