Normally, I'd agree, but... SCHS is having homecoming and no one wants the ceremonies and the overpriced dresses the queen and court wears to get ruined. homecoming is as big a part of high school football as the games themselves. In addition, moeny from the gate is vital to a program, especially a school that only has four home games this year.

The york-Sc game has been moved to thursday night due to the possibility of bad weather. I've just heard this, so I'm sure an official announcement will be made at some point.

Do ya think you could ask them to go on and fill up???...I don't know that there are enough cows to feed them and us too!!!...They are always such a nice group of people to work with...the fans...are always polite and that's nice... Are these the same fans that threw bottles and rocks at us last year after the game? :confused:

You may have noticed that I did go back and revise my estimate of the score. And I wouldn't pay a dime to hear the man that once heralded G'ville as the Mecca of High school football, especially since it was said just after sept. 11.

Well said. I still say that a lot of those passes are batted or intercepted if the db's make a play on the ball. The fade for a TD? or the one that resulted in the td on the south endzone was catchable only by the G'ville guy. Great throw, great catch. The TD to Clayburne? in the north endzone was another great throw and catch. Maybe 24-14 would have been a more realistic ending. Either way the best team won, but shouldn't a 2A enrollment beat a 1A? I'm sure that will be the 2nd excuse right behind the injured ankle excuse.

It should have been 35-0. The secondary didn't step up and make plays when they had a chance. The 2 fumbles were what got them in the game. Those mistakes will get us beat against a conference opponent. On a side note... I listened to the G'ville broadcast of the game...disgusting. If you tuned on after the kickoff then you didn't even know who G'ville was playing. Biased i can understand, but to completely avoid saying your opponents name is dispicable. Snoop, I feel really good about beating a single a team. Some sorry G'ville fans stole some Smith county property and tore up some equipment as well. Typical classless behavior.

According to the rankings, Smith Co. will beat Gordansville by 47 points. I don't think 47 points will be the difference in this game, maybe two scores for SC, but not 47 points.

It warms my heart to see another bleacher coach on here telling the real coaches what, who, and when. Airstrike, Maybe you should become a teacher and a coach. Then you could decide who is the person for the Jr. High job. lowdown's account is as accurate as I know. If you don't like it then complain to your hearts content, but know that it isn't going to change anything. The best people for the best jobs are in place.
