  1. Thanks, Zone. Hope you're right. This one is a toss up for me, but I'll be hoping the Jackets pull it off. Go get 'em Jackets. Congrats on your win Friday, although it hurt my little girl's feelings (she's 7 and attends Silverdale). We told her you can't just stop playing because you're ahead - you're supposed to try and stop the other team. Great venue for the game. I'll be checking the scores from Chatt, so anyone please post scores for me. Is there WIFI at the Creekbank yet? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  2. Prayers go out to coach's family and the Grundy county community. I pray that God will be your strength.
  3. Prayers to Boomer's family and friends from Chattanooga. I grew up in Hartsville and know that this has not affected one family, but an entire town. This young man will be missed.
  4. Definitely a good idea to play this one at Finley. I've seen South Pitt's crowds. As much as I respect SP's program, I'll be cheering on the Seahawks - got a little one there. Good luck to both teams. Play hard. And, who knows, maybe I'll see one of these teams up against my beloved Trousdale County Yellow Jackets come playoff time. As wild as region 4 has been, rankings are up in the air.
  5. Oh man. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> I'm sure you guys played a great game. Keep your heads high.
  6. No way!!!! Well, this will be interesting. South Pitt won big tonight against Whitwell, FYI.... 56 -7.
  7. Are people messing with me? TC defeated Gville 21 - 6? That's what the scoreboard section of coacht says. Is it accurate? Good luck next week. I won't be able to post - headed to the beach tomorrow.
  8. I couldn't have said it better than that, Koop. I agree 100%. Go Red Boiling Springs!!!!
  9. These cooler nights (well, in comparison to weeks past) get me longing to be cheering from the Creekbank stands on Friday nights. Once again, won't be able to be there, but my heart is cheering on our Jackets. Play a great game.
  10. Trousdale County, baby!!! It's a year of young players for us. Makes people think the prize is too far out of reach.
  11. Is this game at the Creekbank or at Monterey? I haven't heard much on Monterey this year. Hope our Jackets do well. I think it will go a little more smoothly than last week. Tough loss to SC, but it was expected. Sounds like they fought to the end. That's what it's about. Oh, and #1 Jacket Fan, you know we haven't gotten off the wagon. If you're interested in purchasing them, we'll take 5 purple and gold shirts, although that wasn't the offer. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> JK
  12. Praying that this young man will heal fully and quickly. Also, with the loss of feeling below the elbow, I pray that there is no damage beyond the break.
  13. Prayers are being lifted up from Chattanooga. I pray for comfort for each of the four families you mentioned, as well as your community and town. Though we cannot understand the whys of this chain of events, we can have comfort knowing that God causes all things to work for good.
  14. This game scares me for the Mighty Jackets, esp. with it being played in Carthage. I just hope that the team will get fired up and regroup from the loss at Watertown. Put your focus into the game. I know you will give it your all. That's really all anyone asks of you, just give it your all on the field and don't give up til the clock reads 0:00 in the 4th quarter. Practice hard and play well next week.
  15. OK. As usual, I'll be cheering for the Jackets from afar. I know I can count on you posters to keep the score posted for me.
  16. Well, I can't talk stats and things as such,'cause I'd make an idiot of myself. Yeah, I'm a stereotypical girl when it comes to sports. But I always like to get on the boards and encourage the old alma mater. Go Jackets. Play well and put us in the win column again. If it doesn't happen, there will be no bandwagon jumping, though. Us Jackets fans are "true blue, I mean purple" and dedicated to the legacy that is Trousdale County football. Have a safe trip to and from Watertown.
  17. So sorry to hear about the injury. Mr. Seay will be in our prayers. What type of injury was it? Way to go, Jackets. Continue to put your games in the W column this season.
  18. Play a good game, Jackets. Hope you win tonight. Wish I could be there, but you'll be cheered for from Chattanooga. Livingston Academy - have a safe trip to and from the Creekbank. Special shout out to my family. Love you all.
  19. Hats off to both teams - you centainly gave everyone a nail-biter. You played a respectable game and both fought hard for this win.Congratulations to Temple for the win. When TC scored with 1:44 on the board, my hubby said "They left them too much time." This morning's Chatt Times Free Press quotes Tenn. Temple coach Kevin Skogen saying: "Our guys were tired at the end. I think they left us too much time. If they run a few more plays and kick a field goal, the game's over." What might have been, however, is not. There may have been some missed calls, both teams for that matter, but we can't go back. The local NBC news affiliate, WRCB TV Channel 3 calls it the Crusader Comeback in the Friday Night Football highlight reel. They say Cinderella is still dancing. TC - Have an awesome 2007-2008 season. Temple - good luck in the playoffs. Dance, Cinderella, dance.
  20. I've been out of school for quite some time now. I really loved both marching and concert band. I had two totally different experiences. I was a twirler, then drum major during marching season. I loved the atmosphere of being at football games in the cold, playing fight songs during breaks and after TDs, having a break the entire 3rd quater. I always went to get some nachos -- those consession stand nachos were the best! And, man, it got cold out there wearing those twirling costumes. But I have to say that I really loved concert band. I got to play my flute and work with challenging music. I played all the time, practiced all the time. I enjoyed it so much that I took concert band for a semester or two in college. I would still play for kicks and teach my children if I still had my flute. And it was awesome that we had the respect of our football team.
  21. Well, it's been a long time since I actually participated in any kind of band. I would have to say that I would definitely choose to attend a marching band performance over all others. There is just something about that atmosphere and having to play and do formations at the same time. Especially a band with a large number of members, which mine definitely did not have. I enjoy the auxiallary -- flags, twirlers, drum major(s). It's all good.
